Drink menu after the jump...

I think it's the Vieux Carre that she made for me after Susan's Pimm's glug glug special (pour a couple glugs of Pimm's with a few more glugs of what looks like 7-Up or soda).

Killer margarita recipe: 1 shot Cuervo 1800, one-quarter shot of Grand Marnier, two shots apple juice, 3/4 shot Rose's lime juice, put in blender with ice (works best with snow, when in season), until it is a slushy consistency. Top off with a quarter-shot of Arizona prickly-pear cactus juice concentrate (let it seep down).
Pimm's?!?!?!?!
Oh my god!! I neeeeeeeeeed more Pimm's in my life!!! So jealous!!!!
I remember (or not) several lost afternoons with pitchers of Pimms and lemonade (7up really!). In fact... I'm going to have one right now. :)
The Vieux Carre sounds awesome... but anything with Rye does.
My summer drink is fast approaching...key lime martini. Do you have a killer recipe for one, Rachel?
I'm sure you can turn your bartender skills into some kind of fund raiser for the Gulf.
Pardon my lack of alcohol knowledge, but what is Primm's? Never heard of it and that drink sounds yummy :) I'm more of a wine and beer kinda gal (and the occasional margarita, rum & diet coke, whiskey).
Pimm's is an English drink. Usually served with sparkling lemonade and fruit mixed in (most often strawberries and cucumber [sounds gross, but is AWESOME. I swear]). On this menu, they muddled the cucumbers, but they're fine if their just cut and thrown in (although I doubt Rachel would approve of my directions to just "throw" anything into a cocktail. Apologies!) It's a really great, fresh summer-y drink.
The best part of Pimm's is leaving a whole strawberry in your glass and just refill it over the course of the evening. By the time you're done, you're well sauced you have a lovely booze berry waiting for you at the bottom of your glass.
That really does sound yummy. Thanks for the info :) It does sound like a very refreshing "sit on the deck and chill" drink.
No problem!
If you're interested in finding some I know it's available around New England and New York- I have plenty of experience Pimm's hunting. But apart from that I can't tell you much. You just have to have a keen eye or ask at your local liquor store.
I doubt it'd be easy to find here....I'm in a fairly rural part in upstate NY (Fingerlakes Region). There's a decent liquor store near Rochester, next time I'm that way I'll take a peek and see, never know.
When I was a kid, I imagined that martinis must taste like olives. Do they?
Rachel, you have the coolest life.
My Mom loves Pimm's Cups. Nice Rachel, nice!!

Aww now I have a craving for a whiskey sour XD.
I'm sorry, but if I became a tv show host w/ the second highest ratings on the network I worked for and my boss told me to mix drinks at a party full of rich douchebags while my coworkers are milling about, I'd punch him in the face. Seriously, wtf?
Have you considered maybe she enjoys doing it? I know if that were me, I'd be agitating for decent beer and pulling pints myself. Besides, bartending at a party is a great way to be social without having to...mingle.
I think it's because I've worked in food and beverage service for so long that I would object to it, personally. God I need a new line of work.
You almost--almost--make me want to drink drinks containing liquor.
