In its relentless pursuit of Dr. George Tiller, anti-abortion extremists often showed up at his Wichita church and yelled at members of the congregation as they came in for Sunday services.
"These were Christian people yelling at other Christian people and telling us we were wrong for having him in our church," one tells us, in our new documentary, "The Assassination of Dr. Tiller."
Join us Monday at our usual 9 p.m. Eastern time and watch the debut with us.

Nothing shows you're a good Christian like yelling at and condemning other Christians.
Maybe it's just me, but, I don't think that is what Jesus would do.
Thanks, Rachel, for calling it what it is -- terrorism.
It's terrorism when you are bullying an entire community. Voicing your opinion is a different thing entirely, it involves communication.
It is terrorism. Terrorism = the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce. I'm sure all terrorists believe their beliefs are the "truth."
Oh, by the way, the TRUTH is that a fetus is NOT a baby.
Fine. Let it be an issue between god and the believer. These terrorists have no business being god's enforcers, and insisting their interpretation of their version of their holy book is the only right way to go.
You can see the hyperbole when the President of Operation Rescue claims the members of this church are pro-abortion, when in fact, they are pro-choice. A very different animal. No one is being forced to have an abortion: If you're against them, don't have one.
Well said. In China women are forced to have abortions if they can't afford the fee for a second child. Look at the labels of the products you buy. If you are against choice, you are supporting goverment mandated abortion if you buy products from China (made there or in any way associated with them, i.e. Walmart!). When ignorant people speak it hurts my brain.
@lee. Read Mathew 5 in your Holy Bible.....what do you call "collateral damage" in war, God's will? You got a lot of nerve calling anyone a baby butcher. I was a soldier, I know better.
Pro choice does not mean pro abortion. Late term abortions are done primarily when a mother's life is in danger or when a fetus is found to have major medical problems. Severe oligohydramnios (low amniotic fluid) and open neural tube defects (spina bifida, anencephaly) are some of the situations that may not be diagnosed until the second trimester. Raising a child with these problems rips families apart as they struggle to cope. No one ever talks about the impact on the child, which can be real physical and emotional pain. Difficult as the decision may be, an abortion is sometimes the best decision. In the case of anencephaly and some of the trisomies, does it make sense to risk a mother's life by making her carry to term when these babies will die anyway? Yes, sometimes a family will say raising a child with Down syndrome or other condition was a "gift"...but that is rare. It impacts every family member, as physical, emotional and financial resources are spent on the effected child. Dr. Tiller was one of the few willing to perform this service. I'm certain he was not "pro abortion" either.
critical thinking and tolerance find little room in a world of myopic absolutes. these are the same christians that support war as a viable option to problem resolution. maybe trucks with large signs of soldiers body parts are the way to go. pro life doesn't stop at birth folks.
Some people that spout "Christian" beliefs need to reread those 'letters in red' that they claim to live by. Can't see their savior acting in such a manner as this or condoning murder. I think that he would weep at their misunderstandings and forgive them with a kindness and love they are sadly lacking.
So tonight I have convinced my 'born-again' landlady to watch Maddow's MSNBC documentary on Monday night. She agrees that taking a life is wrong, though she is stilll staunchly anti-choice.
