Very surprised at how many people they got to go along with that. And how pleased with themselves they seem to be. And a "clean" version? Because the word "rape" is the offensive part of all this. Yup.
Since we're sharing random videos I thought everyone might enjoy this:

Hah that's awesome!
funny stuff
i love the otters... so darling
This is the conservative Christian university founded by Jerry Falwell? I...confused. He must be so proud?
My brain is on fire.
THIS. When I saw this vid yesterday I thought - the internet finally broke my brain.
Ow. owowowowow. Brain. Broken.
I missed this whole thing.... I remember the rant in the news, but didn't know it had been turned into a song (hey, I listen to classical, jazz and blues!). I admit I don't get it. Why? Why did the original video go viral? Why the song? Is this Liberty U thing supposed to be funny? At whose expense?
Er... maybe that's why Tricia posted it with no comment. Somebody help this confused old (39yrs) woman!

Edit: What Jamil said.
If you're unfamiliar with the choir's inspiration for this cheerful holiday melody, you can see the original Antoine Dodson video here:

Which is better? I leave you to judge.
Video has been removed.
Woahhhh. Is that a woman wearing a suit at a university founded by Jerry Falwell? I'm more amazed at that.
Yes, the butch suit and punkish "do" from Liberty University was clearly what broke MY brain.
Same here. OUCH brain pain.
um.
The conductors hair is second only to how awesome that song was.
Killer funny. Is Andre Dodson getting royalties?
I don't even, I can't, that was, and the word taking replaced, but liberty university, and a black guy?!
ROFL That was sooo great! Well rehearsed. And all those, keep on...it matters. =)
And that, friends, is as close as those white kids will ever get to the projects.
I think you'd be surprised.
You think so? Oh please prove me wrong. Nothing would make me happier. I love surprises.
i have to agree with locknpost. you have no idea from where talent emerges. you have no idea who came up in the projects, and may be returning their regularly. quit judging from your chair.
lol I don't know those kids. I can only speak for the kids I know, including mine. And I certainly wouldn't release their personal information.
You are correct that most (and I stress most) kids like these of white privilege statistically are shown not to have grown up in predominantly racial minority project areas. There are greater numbers that have spent significant time there though.
Have faith in the next generation. Many are not as blind as we may think.
@teaks mama - Where in this exchange did I make a value statement? I have judged no one. I did make an assumption about the background (and possibly the future intent) of these kids based on where they are and what they are participating in during this video clip, that is true, but that proves only that I am a human being - that is how we apply knowledge gained from previous experience. I am not particularly attached to my assumptions and I am more than willing to chuck them aside when presented with credible evidence to the contrary. As I said, nothing would make me happier.
