What used to live on this Craigslist ad? The Tucson Weekly says this:
STARTING ARMED MILITIA UNITS FOR ALL METRO PIMA COUNTY WILL BE SERCHING FOR DRUG DEALERS,BURGLARS AND VANDALIZERS OF PRIVATE PROPERTY THER WILL BE CERTAIN QUALIFICATION#1 no convicted felons ,'we offer tactical weapons training, camoflage techniques, the use of night vision and equipment and must pass background checkand able to carry a fire arms are main weapons consist of AR-15 and saiga 308 tactical for more inf contact OPERATION CLEAN UP
Next to the other ads in the nonprofit jobs category -- church music director, anyone? -- this one probably stood out.
(H/T Carie Schneider)

Man, and I thought *I* was exciting for finding my current non-profit job on Craigslist. Man, I want tactical weapons training!
(But seriously, people don't seem to get that OTHER PEOPLE SEE YOUR CRAIGSLIST ADS. We used to use 'Missed Connections' as our prompting material for writing exercises)
All I see is a poorly written sentence. And even if I was interested in all the above I wouldn't want to be around a bunch of idiots with guns.
i think if you were interested in all the above as much as the person/people who placed the listing, you likely wouldn't notice how terribly it was written or care if you did.
forget accents, 'has literacy (or functional lack therof [sic]) been an issue for you?'
borrowing from Eileen, below, "stuped isas stuped tipes" [sic]
Stupid is as stupid does...
Weirdly, I don't see it as flagged for removal, but maybe my browser has cached it? Anyway, I emailed the screengrab. It's pretty much exactly what the Weekly says, but in the ad itself they can't keep straight whether their name is "Operation Cleanup" or "Operation Cleansweep."
Also, they pretty much fail 4th grade English class.
The ability to spell is not a qualification for much here in Tucson... *sigh*
Oh, great -- in looking at the Weekly link, I see the moron who posted this is right in my neighborhood (Speedway/Swan). That makes me fee ever so safe... :oP
Right-thinking men know that more guns are always the answer...got to protect their Second Amendment liberties, you know!
(sarcasm off)
As several have already noted, obviously the ability to express oneself with clarity in English is not one of the "CERTAIN QUALIFICATION" [sic]. That said, seriously, isn't this kind of ignorant vigilantism precisely the sort of behavior that led to the shooting death of Brisenia Flores et. al. (the other Tucson area shooting of a little girl that most people seem to forget about in the wake of the attempted assassination of Gabby Giffords)?

did he/they post it with a shirtless photo? #ChrisLee
i like the 'more guns are the answer' arguement. it's like they find out they have cancer so decide to double-down on smoking, killing off just the bad cells.
maybe they'll do that, too.
