The Conservative Political Action Conference honored former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, with help from former VP Dick Cheney.
NBC had someone following the proceedings.

Oh hell, I clicked on "a little more here", got Fox cookie in Blackberry now. @eyeofbrown
He walks. He talks. He slithers on his belly like a rep-pit-tile
The Fox story says someone yelled "draft dodger." I didn't hear that -- anyone else?
I'm a life long liberal Democrat. I'm a fan of the show, but please Rachel, let's try to remain in favor of reality based opinion.
I'd love to think they were booing Dick, but they were not. They clearly were booing the person that was calling him a war criminal. Dick could have walked up there eating dead baby and they wouldn't have booed him.
Be careful with credibility please. When they call us the same as them we need to be correct when we say were not.
Yes, as I saw and heard it, they booed the person yelling war criminal. Neocons would lick the boots of Cheney and Rumsfeld, maybe even get shot in the face by Cheney to get their oil wars and spending "predictability".
Yes, this is quite clear. There were at least two voices yelling "You're a war criminal" one female early one, one male right after the end of the USA chanting. The audience clearly responded by booing the protester.
It's not quite clear if Cheney's "now sit down and shut up" comment was directed at the protestors, too. It seems likely that it was, as he normally doesn't greet his cheering throngs like that. Playing right along the "authoritarian father figure" framing, with that one.
George Lakoff should be a guest on your show.
Would Love to see Hannity or O'Reilly lead with this ? Yea Right Just a Thought
Of course he is a war criminal. What are to make of Obama? Isn't he killing thousands to placate the Generals?
obama inherited the illegal iraq war & is withdrawing as promised. afghanistan however is a righteous war due to the 9/11 attacks regardless of the current (mistaken) strategy. remember it took over 40 yrs to defeat the Soviets in a cold war. aQ cannot be deterred & will not stop attacking the US or our allies. the price of liberty is eternal vigilence.
Mr. Cheney is not looking well these days. I think, out of interest for his health, he should abstain from particiapating in politics from now on. It's a win win...without the stress of politics, he'll be healthier, and America will be better with him becoming an empty space in politics.
Cheney is a war criminal. By USA and international standards.
He is #1 reason for the deaths of 4400+ American soldiers. Bush is #2, Rumsfeld is #3, Condo-Rice is #4, the FOX network is #5.
And in a way, every American voter who voted these traitors in for a 2nd time.
They were NOT booing Cheney and Rumsfeld! Let's not become THEM by choosing our favorite reality. I may not agree - in my opinion there are few clearer cases of liars and war criminals than C and R, but the audience of Repubs clearly loved those guys.
Were we really the nation that we are made out to be or think we are, these thugs would be standing trial for war crimes.
Trump Rummy Cheney to join Mubarak in Fuhrerbunker
Cheney is a war profiteer, as our the Bush clan and others who profit from big oil and the military-industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about... Unfortunately, the MIC tenacles are so interlaced with the fabric of our modern society that all of us profit in some way. Read Russ Baker's "Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty, America's Invisible Government, and The Hidden History of the Last Fifty Years". Bush's ties with the CIA prior and after heading it, his role in events around the Kennedy Assassination, and his manuevers to help set up and oust Nixon on behalf of big oil (who detested Nixon's moves against the oil depletion allowance and his increasingly "liberal" foreign policy), are plausible enough to be very scary. Chaney's role is also discussed in the book.
Thanks Issis.
This should be interesting read.
