What will it take for Americans and our government to wake up to the immediate risks and danger from man-made climate change? Irene is a storm created entirely by global warming, a potential economic catastrophe that is only one of dozens of real and serious impacts from climate change felt by Americans this year. Our government needs to get real and understand that we need to act now if we want to avoid future calamities that will destroy our economy.

i'm thinking many a man-made climate-change accepter would agree with me when i say, 'ridiculous.'

hurricanes occur naturally and always have, plus it's only an 'I', the 9th storm of the season. when we start getting up into V, W, A2, B2 (rolling over to the begining of the alphabet again) -- as we did one of these recent years -- then i'll start accepting that they're created by global warming. (also when we see a more higher category storms, but they wouldn't be "created entirely" by it.)
