Jon Huntsman's presidential campaign had been drawing a one -- uno -- in Gallup's intensity tracker. Today, the former Utah governor got a little lower than that. His newly minted negative one is the result of subtracting people who expressed a strongly negative view of him from those who expressed a strongly favorable view.
Subzero or slightly above, Jon Huntsman keeps going.

well, i'm not sure how anybody can really claim to be shocked by such a thing, what with the infection of the Republican party by irrational, delusional, anti-science, nihilistic, thanophilic, sociopathic teapartyists. Jon Huntsman is none of those things.
i'm not sure that you can call it just an infection at this point tho, as like in many a sci-fi plot, the invading organism has completely possessed and subsumed the host.
I'm not sure if I should believe anything that claims Rick Santorum has "Intensity."
well, remember 'intensity' is a synonym for 'zealotry'.
Well John guess if you was smart (which i believe you are) you need to quit spending money as that would make you look like the others.
you best bet is to sit and wait fro 2016, or maybe try a VP job.
Too bad. Jon Huntsman is the only one with a functioning brain.
Yes . . . but that is only because it is his turn to use the brain this month . . . next month Michelle Bachman gets to use it . . . etc etc etc . . .
They all share the brain so they wont make any conversational mistakes by uttering any original or independent thoughts !
Can't walk in lock step with the Right-Wing-Nut Cha Cha if you indulge in independent thinking . . .
Then how is it that he isn't a Democrat?
I don't like Republicans but you know what it is too bad that he is loosing steam. He actually has a brain, more of moderate and compared to the GOP has some good ideas. I don't think the GOP is looking for someone with good ideas. I think they are looking for some one who is controversial and radical. As I have said before the GOP hate Pres. Obama more than they love America. I think they would elect Lucifer just to beat him. I think that's all they care about. They will elect anyone even if they are bad for America. I think this polls shows that. Sad though that they have reduce our electorate process to this. When I was growing up, each Party would elect their best candidate and then they would battle it out. I think those days are now gone. I think our politics have become something else--and that something else is not good for America. I also think they don't care that it's not good for America.
Ah, yes. And here's where we really lay into the other side for being clueless and stupid. All while they kick our asses all over the political landscape. I keep praying that some moment we'll wake up and realize that the Republican Party, despite the limited intellect of some of its players, is anything but stupid. I keep praying that we'll have the sense (and sense of humility) to accept that we're dealing with formidable opponents--opponents who have already proved themselves invulnerable to our worst insults. But that presumes a Democratic Party rooted in real life on its own home planet, and we are certainly not that.
What the hell--the Party of Wall St. is winning, hands-down, but so long as it makes us feel better to label them as losers, why not? It's not as if we were going to do anything, anyway. Carry on.
Actually, I have to agree with your post 100%. I have always thought their danger lies in their utter shamelessness, their ability to foster the most unthinkable ideas, their ability to lie outrageously and then flip-flop with complete equinamity.
In short, they will stoop to anything to achieve their goals - Anything.
They are haughty, antagonistic, overbearing, oppressive, disrespectful, inflexible, unapologetic, lying politicians.
My point is that, instead of (for example) incessantly recounting the faults of the other side, we should be focusing on our own. We need to figure out why our opponents are such master manipulators, how they manage to find candidates who voice extreme views yet whose appearance and manner is pleasing and non-threatening to many voters. The other party may run idiots, but it isn't run by idiots. We're losing, and we need to figure out why. That won't happen if we spend all of our time thinking up new insults for Perry, et al. We empower our enemies by dismissing them.
Jon Huntsman is the single voice of sanity in the whole Republican race. That is the reason he polls last and it is also the reason he should not quit!
