Well, that just says it all, doesn't it?
"Fare and Balance"? I kept on setting the channel on my TV so I would not miss the Obama interview on Fox. And after I took the time THEY INTERRUPTED HIM SO MUCH, HE COULD NOT GET A WORD IN. What a difference was the Cain interview on Lawrence O'Donnell! Cain spoke without being interrupted and he was able to say everything he wanted. Now, that is what I call fair and balance. The SUV owner there must have the IQ of a flea. That is brain washing. Nice and clean from every substance that show a little bit of intelligence.
I like having the nut-jobs identify themselves....wish more of them would do it...Undercover idiots are the most dangerous!!!...Some people think that's a status symbol...kinda like walking around with a Wall Street Journal under your arm....An Accessory to your Outfit or vehicle....."Faking the Funk"...
I like Fruit Loops, but I don't tape the boxes to my car.....
OCCUPY WALL STREET CROWD GREETS FOX HOST WITH CHANTS OF ‘FOX NEWS LIES’
Occupy Wall Street...now that's a group with some funny signs! Everything from profanity to misspellings to total nonsense.
I haven't seen any with misspellings? The only one I've seen of any relative controversy is there is a video of that guy holding up a Hitler's Wall Street sign, but he keeps getting shouted at by the crowd to get off his stump. Which is hardly a representation of what the Occupy group represents. He seems like an outcast that wasn't welcome...which is probably why the police officers had to stand up and defend him before the crowd jumped him. There's another video of some kid yelling at a man in a kipa that is circulating, but it seems way too staged to be real. Other than that I haven't seen or heard much of anything. Feel free to send some links if you have them.
RobDon,
Any comments about tea party signs? Monkeys, joker faced Obama, swastikas, Hitler mustached Obama, even saw moron spelled moran, lol.
Mouzer, a good way to find many of the signs is to goggle "occupy wall street signs" under Google Image. They even spray painted "occupy" on one of the city signs at the corner of Wall Street. Many with vulgarities. Only a very few with misspellings. I saw a story on an advertising man who is out of work devoting his time to making many of the signs. Many of those are really easy to spot by the lettering.
And, Bob, yes, there are idiots on all sides.
Whenever I want to attract attention to any of my banners I misspell so one person will tell the other and so on. That has worked for me. When someone tells me that it is misspelled I answer "thanks for reading" "did you get it". If they say no, then I would realize the person is not looking for substance. And probably belongs to the GOP. Then I can explain that it was done on purpose. I can start conversations that way. I have been able to bring into the group more than 20 people.
I did. I spent 30 minutes before I asked you RD. That was all that I found.
There are millions of people out of work because candidates are using urban legends to get elected.
We voters are encouraging that kind of behavior by spreading ignorance using signs.
No?
Interesting considering Democrats represent the least educated portion of the population in the United States.
Because eap has studies to back up his claims (like he always does) *nods*
#sarcasm
So all of those poor and unemployed people that make up you party are educated?
Statistics, eaps. Where are the statistics that back your claims?
One of the problems with this world is there is too much information and too little knowledge. The simple fact is that all human beings want simple respect, the right to exist with minimal hardship and the ability to live day to day in peace. We have somehow created in these past 30 years an economic and political system that disrespects humanity, creates artificial hardships to simple existence and cannot spend a day in peace with the rest of the world. The only way to begin to fix these broken systems is for the people to do it themselves because relying on any political leader is a waste of time, energy and hope.
@peanut: we don't need no stinkin' statistics! XD
Mouzer, LMFAO, thanks!
PaPlanner, they won't let me click your check twice, and I wanted to be a little more emphatic about agreeing with what you said. Our systems are broken, and it's up to us to fix things because clearly, they won't fix themselves.
Are you denying that your party represents the poorest and unemployed?
Are the poorest in the country not the least educated?
Is education directly correlated with earnings?
Aren't Republicans the "evil rich."
You don't have to be a rocket scientist to put this together.
Hardly denying. The Democratic party is more inclusive, and has represented the interests of a much wider range of demographics than Republicans for decades now, including the poorest.
Yes, there is a correlation between formal education and mean earnings. You were talking "formal" education, correct?
I am more struck that race and gender are consistently, significantly correlated to earnings. Wh/m non-hs grad > hs female grads, wh/m hs grad > females with Associate's Degrees, wh/m with Associate's Degree > females with Bachelor's Degrees, etc, etc. (Mean Earnings by Highest Degree Earned) Can anybody point me in the direction of the party who supports women's rights?http://www.census.gov/compendia/statab/cats/education/educational_attainment.html
Democrats or Republicans, being "rich" does not make one inherently "evil". THAT, the "evil" part, is a choice.
And just for your information, not everyone's primary objective when selecting a career is to become rich. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out, but it helps to comprehend concepts such as "contribute to society", "make a difference", "leave the world a better place", "in service to humanity".
Class dismissed.
eap enjoys post hoc ergo propter hoc...but he's a fanatic, so what can one expect?
locknpost, be honest. Democrats only support women's rights when they tow the party line. If a Republican had said about women what Democrats say about Bachman and Palin there would be a huge outcry of sexism. Democrats only support women and their rights when it's convenient. The same with minorities. You guys have shown how racist you really are with Hermain Cain.
Class dismissed? Get over yourself. You posted a bunch of your opinions and I'm supposed to be impressed? You can hardly put an intelligible sentence together.
By the way, if you chose a career out of social responsibility or the desire to make a difference, don't come complaining to me when you can't pay your bills. That just makes you a moron.
Actually mouzer in your desperate attempt to sound intelligent you have shown how little you actually know. You obviously don't have an educated grasp on logic. But then again you're the king of correlation not causation.
Le troll.
Eap there is a difference between what is factual and what you perceive. You have yet to demonstrate that you know the difference. I am done condoning your behavior- from this point on you are on ignore. FTR did everyone else notice how he refuted his lack of facts by only issuing ad hominems? And that he further more stramaned by saying that everyone else is the problem? It's like talking to the elementary school bully- he can't be to blame, it's everyone else's fault. Oy vey. Le sighs.
@eap1, why so ruffled? My final paragraph left what could be considered a legitimate invitation to fling a favorite RW label. You missed it?
When it comes to selecting a career, my personal advice would actually be "Follow your passion, dare to dream."
Have a pleasant day Mouzer.
@ locknpost, I agree and I absolutely think people should follow their dreams. But like I said, if someone's dreams lead them to the poor house then they shouldn't wine and complain to everyone else that it's not fair. They made their bed and now they have to live in it.
@ mouzer, thank you! I'm tired of hearing you try to sound intelligent using terms you don't fully understand.
eaps: "You posted a bunch of your opinions and I'm supposed to be impressed? You can hardly put an intelligible sentence together."
Um, that's what you do. Pots and kettles? LOL! You have yet to post a link to a single statistic or study to prove anything you've ever said on this blog. You just say stupid stuff, and then more stupid stuff to "prove" your unsubstantiated opinion.
In your above offering, poor people shouldn't WHINE. Not wine. Do you reread your comments before hitting post? Do you rethink your dogma before spouting it?
You cannot convince me the average teabagger has a grain of native intelligence. A gun, a silly hat and a knee-jerk reaction, sure, but a brain? That they use? Nah. They have a collective brain; a hive mind that comes to them from the pulpit and the likes of Palin, Limbaugh and Cantor. Teabaggers do exactly and only as they're told because they don't think for themselves. Why else would they have started out named after a gay male sex act? Because that's what the republican congress is into!
Where are your statistics to back that up peanut?
Prove they don't have a grain of native intelligence.
Prove they have a collective brain.
Prove they don't think for themselves.
Wow, good job making a hypocrite out of yourself! Only a liberal can demonstrate that level of doublethink!RORFL!
The "99%" on the other hand. Man those guys are geniuses!
http://web.gbtv.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=19882747&topic_id&tcid=vpp_copy_19882747&v=3
Blah blah blah. Glen Beck. Glen Beck. Hey if you can show me any video resembling this with the Tea Party, I want to see it. And I'm just not sure if you're completely ignorant of history or making a junior high joke about the Tea Party being named after a gay sex act. Anyway, you're coming across as a homophobe.
Eaps, you are howlingly funny! You actually posted a Glen Beck video here? With a straight face??
You don’t read very well, do you. At least not with much comprehension. What I said was: “You cannot convince me the average teabagger has a grain of native intelligence.” And you have not convinced me. Posting the lunatic ravings of a self-entitled old white guy convinces me only that you subscribe to the ‘values’ that have put our country in one of the worst places it has ever been.
Historically, republicans do vote as a block, and democrats and independents and greenpeople, etc, vote all over the landscape. This has, unfortunately, given elections to republicans far too frequently in recent decades.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2004-06-02-religion-gap_x.htm
Religious people vote republican, and republicans tend (tend) to be religious people. Religious people get their politics from the pulpit and the pulpit is generally (not always, generally) republican. There’s also the problem of independents and other voters who cast their vote as punishment, voting against their own best interests in the long run because they’re trying to “send a message” to the incumbents. This usually punishes the democrats because they’re trying to clean up the mess left behind by the republicans and can’t do it fast enough because republicans like the mess, benefit from the mess, won’t allow the clean-up because that would be to admit there is a mess…
The tea party started out as The Tea Baggers. This is just a fact. I didn’t make it up, and you can’t change it just because you don’t like it. The Tea Baggers proclaimed themselves loud and proud, and the rest of us laughed hard, so in a huff, they changed their name. And most of us, still snickering, eventually fell line because we’re so damned politically correct that we’ll call anyone what they want to be called as soon as they announce their desire to be known as…whatever. Suggesting I come across as a homophobe for pointing out a fact is very funny.
What are you doing here, eaps? Do you think you can change our minds by spouting right wing dogma at us? Don’t you understand we’re each doing our own thinking? You’re like the people who respond to any religious argument with: Well, if you’d read the book—
We looked at the list of ingredients on the Kool Aid and decided to pass. You can’t come here with your hand over the label and expect us not to recognize the product. We’ve already decided not to buy.
Why don’t you sample a little of what we’re doing over here: research and analysis, discussion and self-searching. We’re trying to figure out how to fix the enormous problems that face us as a nation, and we don’t believe that prayer is what’s called for. We know the republican agenda is disastrous, and we’re trying to figure out how to survive while working to get the country back on track.
The 99% doesn’t include you, I guess, so lucky you, but you don’t get to dismiss the pain of virtually the entire nation just because you don’t share it.
Until you have something to contribute to the conversation, could you please do your due diligence and research the issues from primary sources? Search your conscience and take a good clear look at the people at Fox that you’ve been listening to. Hear what they’re actually saying, the tone of voice they’re using, and ask yourself why they feel the need to spin things the way they are? The editing that goes into creating the Fox “news” pov is an impressive feat of media gymnastics, but it's not a valid source here.
Prove the Tea Party started off calling themselves "tea baggers."
Prove that Democrats don't block vote. Specifically the pro choice, homosexuals, and blacks. Back that up. Show me their Republican support.
Mexicans and African Americans are very religious. They vote Democrat almost exclusively. Prove your blanked statement that religious people vote Republican.
Prove that independents vote for punishment and to "send a message."
See I'm here now because it entertains me to see all of you "free thinkers" pat each other on the back for thinking the exact same thing. None of you do your own thinking. You just spit out Democratic talking points. It's funny that every time I ask for proof on anything I get no response. Well every once and a while I'll get something "sourced" from a left wing website. But, even when I give proof, it's not enough. You don't really care about proof or you'd start offering up some of your own. Maybe you can start with the questions above.
So you're trying to figure out these problems? How? By saying that "tea baggers" are evil?" "Repukes are scum!" Oh you're solving the worlds problems alright. What problems could you solve without understanding even the most basic principles of economics?
I actually thought at the beginning that I could have intelligent discourse here but I found out quickly that liberals don't really care about anyone's opinions but their own. And if you have a different opinion then you get called a name. Like "tea bagger." Which you all seem to think is either clever or angers the Tea Party. They could care less and you look like an idiot calling them that.
But what should I expect? I mean look at how your protesters are acting. Like complete fools. Look at how civilized the Tea Party protests were. All of these accusations and nothing caught on tape. Well except some Tea Party members getting stomped on by SEIU members. That pretty much sums up the emotional instability of liberals. You guys are defecating on police cars and destroying public parks. So much for caring about the environment. You're trashing every city you protest in. And so what if I found a Glen Beck video? That just shows how close minded you are to not even pay attention to what fools you liberals are acting like even when it's documented on video.
As far as Fox News goes, I don't have cable brother so I don't even know what they're saying over there. See once again, you guys think know everything.
The truth is, there's no free thought here. There's just a thin level of understanding formed by using the internet as a primary source. It must be your generation. Unlike you I have depth of knowledge from reading actual books. Maybe the problem is we're not even speaking the same language. It's like I'm a college professor speaking to a kid in grade school.
lol, you've become incoherent. Slow down, take a deep breath and start again. Read what I actually wrote and see if you can grasp it.
There you go, just like I said. You're dodging questions.
Here's your chance. Back up all that talk and answer my questions. I'm guessing you can't because you just got busted being a hypocrite. LOL!
smiling LOL
Here is an image that sums up both what a dark and deluded place Florida is (we elected Rick Scott. Enough said...) as well as epitomizing the grammar-challenged crowd that has made Fixed Noise the number one repository for Republican paranoia, propaganda, and electioneering. Fox most certainly serves standard GOP "fare"; lies, Tea Party talking points and partisan venom. They are not "fair," so I guess this individual with the car art got it right after all... http://www.sunstateactivist.org
Ouch. Good point! And certainly more thought you put into it than the painter of said "artwork", I'm sure. Grammatically speaking... :D
Something tells me that "America! F**K YEAH!" is playing on repeat in that vehicle.
Effective message, in alerting others to the immediate need for defensive driving.
There's nothing wrong with the art form itself. I tend to appreciate window paints. Wish more did.
happy birthday fox as SNL can do. well its not really a happy b-day but funny.

SNL Spoofs the Morning Show Parody Called Fox & Friends
By Nicole Belle
C&L
A friend went to a Michelle Bachmann rally over the weekend, he reported that she gave a very impassioned speech in which she asserted that we need to sit up and affirm that "America is an English-speaking language."
I'm sure he kicked himself all day for not getting that on tape.
the "Fare" you pay is a large quantity of brain cells . . .
Speaking of spelling, the caption should read, "sunny" not "sunney." Just sayin'
So, they can't spell and can barely speak, all this on the day Joe the plummer
announces a run for Congress. All tea party people should be asked one basic
question: "if you could put together one cogent sentence, what would it be?"
You know they would actually be forced to respond with a basic question: "Would you please define the word 'cogent' for us?"
LiMo, your comment was funny, although the probability of it being true is depressing.
Ahhhh Florida...only Mississippi keeps you off the bottom!
Don't forget Alabama sitting right there under everything.
Florida-the land where big hair and mullets go to die.
I would like to point out that the 'Big Hair & Mullets' are all from elsewhere. Most Sarasota folks are likewise from elsewhere. Most of the jokes concerning Florida in the last few election cycles have been caused by all you folks from aforementioned elsewhere. In fact, If I could find Elsewhere on a map I would go there forthwith, just so I could drive slowly in the left lane and complain about the government full time.
Gee, thanks, Motomark! :)
But not too far off the bottom!
those people in flor. are getting way to much sun
those people in Flor. are getting way to much sun
Happy birthday Foxsnooze,15 years of "lyes".
As someone who lived in Sarasota for 31 yrs, I have to say it used to be an intelligent cultural mecca that was one of the brightest spots in Florida. In the nine years I've been gone it's descended into a pit of fearful retirees and opportunistic right wing wackos. The good thing is- you can spot so many of them easily.
Redneck Riviera! Shoot em', hang em' and smoke em'. The further north from Miami, the deeper south you get.
The Redneck Riviera is the Panhandle Gulf Coast. Sarasota is SW Gulf Coast. Much more Riviera, Much less Redneck.
Just when you think the crazies can't get any dumber, they go and prove they can!!!!
Just when you think the crazies can't get any dumber, they go and prove they can!!!
Do I detect sarcasm?
Oh Florida education system. This is the same state that Rick(one term) Scott cut billions of dollars in education last year. Full disclosure, im currently residing in this State, by orders of the United States Army... not my own.
It's plumber, not "plummer". If you're going to criticize people for not being able to put together a cogent sentence (and I agree with you there), you should spell check before you post. Friendly reminder.
The misspell was deliberate, meant to be a joke because he isn't really
a plumber. Maybe it wasn't so funny.
They don't call us Flori-duh for nothing!
Has anyone entertained the possibility that this person wrote that message on their SUV in satire?
Oh and @Laura Conaway- you misspelled "sunny" (you have "sunney" on your post)
You did notice that they have a "support the troops" and an American flag ribbon, right? I doubt it was satire. Sure, it's *possible* - just not likely.
Ta gotta love Florida. I think maybe they got too much wind off the gulf.
Do they breathe in too much if the gulf air fumes in Florida?
