Colbert: vote for Herman Cain.
Romney: I'll show you mine if you make me yours.
Romney gets a controversial endorsement.
Can Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren really keep 3rd-party ads out of their campaigns?
The Recall Scott Walker petitions arrive in Madison today, but he won't be there to see them.
The House is back in session today. On the schedule? A symbolic smack of the President.
The House will also get a lot of visitors today.
As predicted: Russia thinks we might be (accidentally) responsible for the failure of Phobos-Grunt.

The dynamics of the Republican race have shifted away from whether or not Romney will win or a conservative challenger will emerge. The race is over. Romney has the nomination locked up and the establishment knows it -- they helped him lock it up. But every hit Mitt takes from his rivals or from pesky moderators is another point or two shaved off his matchup with President Obama. There are still very real doubts about how much of the Tea Party and evangelical electorates will show up to the polls or actively support Romney. And Mitt's own stumbles, on firing people and his obstinacy in refusing to releases his tax returns, will crush him with independents. http://www.sunstateactivist.org
I just happened to see some of the debate last night. I tuned in right in time to hear Rick Perry talking about the Texas job situation. He told the audience that the "Job creators" aren't afraid to risk capital in Texas because they know that they will get a great return on their investment. My question is; If the "Job creators" invest in Texas knowing that they will get a good return then where's the risk??
A: Rick is lieing his but off!! if as he says the investors are not scared of Tx. then why in the hell am i still unemployed along with thousands of other Texans??(i can answer that one too...)
So Scooter is gonna be out of state yet again, eh? On whose dime? What's he running from? What's he running for? Whatever the case, he's no good to Wisconsin. See ya, Scotty-boy. Don't let the door hit'cha!
Well the Facebook post this morning asks what's going on in my world. Since 2007 I've been researching the effects of Music on the Human Electromagnetic Field. the electricity in your body dances to music regardless of your heart rate or level of mental focus. Amazing things are happening as a result of this research. It will literally change the worlds of Science, Medicine and how we view Spirituality. Come have a look. http://www.teocawki.blogspot.com
Newsweek asks: “Why Are Obama's Critics So Dumb”
Conservative bloggers respond with the ultimate in HYPOCRICY:
“Name Calling Doesn't Inspire Serious Debate”
http://www.theatlanticwire.com/business/2012/01/name-calling-doesnt-inspire-serious-debate/47470/
LOL. It's de-rigueur for each side to begin any statement, comment, blog, etc. by calling the other side "dumb" or some variation there-of. It's also a virtual requirement to include the "calling names is bad" meme.
This is the style of debate that is in fashion on BOTH sides.
Colbert is nothing short of genius.
True, indeed, Charles. I have very little use for those whom I enjoy calling "our gentle neighbors to the South" - as I reside in the North part of Carolina. Stephen Colbert, however, is the one South Carolinian who is apparently the recipient of Judge James Petigru's* karmic blessing.
*"South Carolina is too small to be it's own republic and too large to be an insane asylum."
I'll be going to Madison today to see petitions delivered to the ofice of the GAB. History in the making! Proof that every vote, every voice counts. This has been an amazing 2 months volunteering to gather signatures for the petitions, I had thought that the world was reduced to being run by the oppressive corporate machine.........not anymore! WE THE PEOPLE are a major force to be reckoned with!
sounds like a good time.
keep us who are not there posted if you could as the eyes of We The People are on Wisconsin today and behind you all 100%
Go Badgers!!!!
careful, thats gonna wind up becoming the name of some right-sided superpac in a couple of months
Symbolic votes for a mainly symbolic congress. Why are they even in session they dont do anything. What a waste of tax payer money.
Yeah it's symbolic, but it's his last of three requests to increase the debt. So... what happens when we max out again? It will probably be in less than a year. Most likely there will be a fight over this sometime BEFORE the election and most likely will be raised again. Hell, why don't they just raise up to 35-40 TRILLION (which would be 40,000 Billion) and get it over with. It's just paper anyway - and tax payer money. What a joke. Just keep getting more "credit cards".
Can Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren really keep 3rd-party ads out of their campaigns?
I say cool, but Warren and her people need to watch out as, there could be a plan to hit the airwaves with negative adds point at her. as it sounded a little funny coming from brown as if theres a plan behind it. well guess we see.
for the citizens of the Badger state i wish you good luck in geting that fascist pig out. will be praying for you all. GODSPEED!
For what it's worth, here is my ramble on disparate details of the mishmash that was the Honolulu MLK parade yesterday.
It was nostalgic. I remembered feelings I have not felt in a long time. Righteous individuals shouting loudly with conviction and extreme but often puzzling messages- "Stop the Genocide, restore the Kingdom" being chanted by a guy with a sign that says "We killed Capt. Cook". People feel like challenging others to action, and there is an unpleasant feeling in the crowds like, who are you to righteously lord over us some moralistic, or self interested pitch. What snake oil are you selling us.
It was a train wreck of people passionately trying to communicate in the old way- in the public square. The MLK way. There was such chaos, such inattention to presentation, so much non communication. Obscure acronyms, chants that have little context to make sense of them.
There has to be a way to keep folks together on the left, so there is some longevity past the life of a particular cause that draws a group together but whose organization self destructs after the objective is reached. It is decades after Salinsky and I just have this dull depressing assessment that this is no way to run a railroad. That to stand up against the forces arrayed against us, we just can't do things in an ad hoc way like this.
I thought Organizing for America was going to address this, but I guess not.
They didn't even show.
LET'S DRAFT JON ERPENBACH to run for GOVERNOR!
No one has stepped forward yet, and State Sen Jon Erpenbach seems like a magnificent choice to me... Maybe you could raise this possibility when discussing the Recall on-the-air??
Thanks......and Happy New Year to you. Keep up the great work.
Poll: Barrett Leads Potential Democratic Primary In Walker Recall

State's rights appears to mean the right for a republican governor to crown himself king.
