Pete Hoekstra tells the Detroit Free-Press today that his icky, Demon Sheep-lite Super Bowl ad in the rice paddies "has been very, very effective." Hey, the local paper sent a reporter today to talk to him! On video! This afternoon, predictably, he was raising money off his ad being called an example of racism.
"And don't even get me started on the dump truck full of cash that radical left-wing groups like MoveOn, Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America and corrupt Union Bosses plan to drop on my head," he writes.
We'll have more on the show tonight -- not about the ad so much as about Pete Hoekstra.

She has been a politician almost as long as Pete Spent it then. She is one of my two elected senators as I am a legal resident of Michigan. I am not happy at all with the way the two party system is working.
Hoekstra was in the US House for 18 years. That's 9 terms. He started his first term the same year (and month) Bill Clinton became president. Therefore he worked on the government payroll for 18 years. During HIS 18 years the US House was Republican for 12 of those 18 years. 6 years under Clinton and 6 years under George W Bush.
One vote in particular is worth a look.
HR 4444
U.S.-China Relations Act of 2000
He voted no. I post it only for one reason. He is ignorant of China and the Chinese.
How do I know? I lived there. The girl on the bike doesn't even look Chinese. The background is far more like Vietnam and the rice hat is the same. Not Chinese.
During Bush's tenure Pete voted with Bush on his agendas which cost trillions. He has no room to talk of what she spent. In fact, the Bush administration BORROWED money from China to pay for Iraq. If this were a criminal case I would rest after showing his voting record on China and spending.
Oct. 10, 2002
H J Res 114
Use of Military Force Against Iraq
He voted Yea. He has no room to talk about spending.
She voted Nay.
