While watching tonight's video preview, take a listen to the soundtrack. (Just be sure to let the ad below play out entirely before starting the video)
Executive producer Bill Wolff shares a preview of tonight's show:

Hey guys! I was just in a TRMS chat room and we all agree that we need you to make official TRMS hoodies so that we can buy them. Customers already lined up and waiting. Let us know when and where we can start collecting TRMS hoodies in various colors. Thanks!
Heck yeah. And all proceeds could fund interventions for FOX addicts.
re tonight's show, accusing romney of wanting to have"government" workers or benificiaries tested for drug use was a reach at best and not in keeping with your thoughtful, objective reporting. you had to know he did not mean this literally (testing those on social security etc.) and though i'm surely not a romney fan, he deserves a fair shake on the show, as is usually the case.
After watching your assessment of Florida's decision to have welfare recipients pass a drug test I have to ask; Did you expect more than 2% of those on welfare to be stupid enough to fail a drug test they know is coming? Did you take into account that maybe this program had caused a few people to choose government aid OVER drug use?
I would think having a lower percentage would be a positive thing? Unless of course you're under the belief that a FAR larger percentage of middle and upper class are using drugs regularly(the 8%+ it was compared to)....in which case, maybe it's not such a bad thing after all...
So it is OK to assume people are on drugs so they must be tested? It's alright to ask people who have done nothing to arouse suspicion to submit to tests? Guilty until proven innocent?
By the way on what grounds would any positive tests be used to disqualify someone?
Benton Harbor's radio station can be saved! For a mere $5000, a consortium of Maddowistas and BH citizens can chip in, buy the station, and continue the same programming, regardless of what the "manager" wants.
Dear Maddow Crew,
Just now doing the DVRed Maddow Show for this Friday. It was garage band practice night ,to night. So I am just now getting my MaddowSmile. Yes, I am close to sixty, why am I in a garage band ? Slow ?? What about the picture ? That is just how I feel inside. Wait a minute, the tape has started. Severely Conservative ?? What ?? I have hear of severely ill. .? No ? This is getting to good , got to go.
Benton Harbor , Michigan radio station is being MittBained ?? Bain motto: If the body is near dead, we should save our loses and sell off the organs. Logical moral structure for mushrooms and short sited Republicans. But not truly wise for a real American.
The thought occurred to me today that no one has brought up Dibold (or any other conservatively owned voting machine company) during this election cycle. Have they truly given us every indication that they will give us honest results this presidential election? Call me paranoid but I can see just enough rigging under the radar to effect the outcome of this presidential election.
But that would be unethical and would border on treason. Do you really believe the right would be that unpatriotic?(he said with a wink)
Hi! Want to express my gratitude again to TRMS staff who make the podcasts possible. I was cranky because last night it came through with sound and picture cut off halfway through. Then, unusually, a new improved one wasn't available this morning. But happily tonight, a new one came through, this time perfect. Get to hear what the Ron Paul staffer said! Anyway, the fact that's it's available at all makes me very very happy and thank you for always fixing it. And of course for the content...
I'd like Rachel's opinion on Jonathan Haidt; he did 47 minutes on Bill Moyers show, and I think Rachel should take him on! http://vimeo.com/36128360
The Friday show was outrageously grand--I laughed and enjoyed myself throughout. Dave Weigel was hillarious as well. And Rachel is such a superstar with such wonderful command of the language, its delivery, everything. I was happy as could be, had a couple molson canadian brewski's here at the beach, and was amazed as usual about what a fantastic program, one segment after the other, and how lucky we are to have Rachel Maddow. :>)
