Sure is a good thing a rather large number of republicans will vote republican no matter what. The republican party is falling apart as they sip the tea and thump the bible.
Romney says "you get a car" the same way I imagine Marie Antoinette said "you get cake".
New history: ROMNEY SAVES US CAR MAKERS
Now we see how Regent U.. and the other religious colleges have been grooming people for politics. About time we all started checking out candidates to see if they are part of this push to kill democracy and create a theocracy. These freaks have no party loyalty just a single purpose. After the GOP gets trounced I expect the dems to get infiltrated .
I think the Republican candidates have all learn John Kyl's lesson a little too well.
Say whatever the heck they want and just admit afterward it wasn't meant to be factual.
**someone should ask Santorum about 'Bearing false witness'. I feel like I've read that somewhere before, maybe he'll remember where.
Lying is not a problem specific to Santorum, but to the whole group of Republican candidates. I am not talking about opinion, hyperbole or exaggeration which all politicians are guilty; the Republicans are making bald faced lies. If these people believe in God's word then they seem to violate it at every turn. I would like to see the Bishops Conference take these liars to task, but it won't happen because the Bishops are more interested in what people do in their sex life and political influence rather than morality.
Jesus could not win the GOP primary, since he was so liberal.
They would con-vert him somehow.
Michigan: where the trees are exactly the right hight, but the stadiums are way too big.
Sort of lost in the stadium folly coverage Friday night was what Romney told the huge, empty room. Via Mark Thoma and Ezra Klein, he talked about massive tax cuts mostly for people earning more than a quarter-million dollars a year and increased defense spending which would be paid for by drastically cutting Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps and federal funding of schools, colleges and universities, and undoing the money-saving provisions of the Affordable Care Act. In other words, tax cuts for the rich would be financed by people who need government help the most. A back-of-an-envelope calculation shows that Romney's plan would increase the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars.
Most of the political talkers on both sides still refer to the republicans as the fiscally responsible party simply through habit bourn by repetition. The fact is neither the Iraq nor the Afganistan war were paid for. The medicare drug plan Bush and the republicans pushed through weren't either. These political decisions were not just irresponsible they were obviously reckless and coupled with the deregulation of the banking industry, who did not police itself, they nearly destroyed the world's economy as we all know too well.
Even though those of us in the middle and lower classes are still in a recovery both here and in Europe due to austerity measures the republicans have STILL refused to raise taxes to pay for their wars and excessive spending. This is the epitome of financial irresponsibility. They are not qualified to run a lemonade stand much less the government or a corporation.
Rach, how come no one has linked Romney's "Let Detroit go bankrupt" comment to his "let the housing market hit bottom" comment? Both comments suggest the solution to every economic crisis is let the Big Fish gobble-up the Little Fish.
Also of note, Santorum's nonsense about the Dutch (where did he get that info anyway?) isn't unfamiliar: Brits furious over GOP healthcare claims (from 2009).
It must be so hard for Mitt(ens) to keep track of all of his cars at all of his homes.
My husband and I eagerly await our upcoming last mortgage payment on our only home, are shopping for a replacement car for our 12 year old FORD; We have had to go foreign to get good mileage with the features we desire in the price range (under $18,000) we can afford.
As we both enter retirement, we will have a huge portion of our pensions being paid out monthly for medical insurance until we reach age 65. After a combined 70 years in the workforce, we will be able to live frugally. But, for Mitt(ens) to make economic plans that would financially assist the 1% while being costly to folks like us, is unbelievable.
Mitt(ens) and GOP-- hear me now: The middle class is not falling for your rhetoric!

They've brought up George W's endorsement of Mitt Romney.
Santorum's public statements opened the door for some fact checking. I'd sure be curious to know the differences between Europe's Universal Healthcare and Health Care Reform. Specifically, women and senior's health care targeting differences between both.
What you see in congress is the splitting of the Republican party into 2 camps and Boehner sitting atop the crevice, that is growing wider. The Democrats had this for years with the liberal north and the ultra conservative south, and the party eventually broke apart. The southern wing joined the republican party, forgiving it for having Lincoln as it's president first. Since that merger the Republicans began a shift to the right and have become far more religiously based. The northern wing stayed pragmatic, and was able to work with Democratic presidents which Boehner belongs to. Now the Tea party has entered the picture and will not negotiate with anyone, including the speaker. this puts Boehner in a very tight spot and he looks foolish trying to makes deals and have the freshmen Representatives throw them out. The Republican moderates have nowhere to go and you may see a split coming if the party looses the house and the presidential elections.

When the zombie scourage comes I'm moving to Amsterdam.
Because you're perfectly safe from Dutch zombies eating your brain. The Dutch govt keeps them well fed on the brains of the elderly who've been involuntarily euthanised. Rick [NSFW] said so, so it must be true. ;)
So VA Gov. McDonnell no longer fully supports ultrasounds before abortions? I hope the gentleman owns a pair of asbestos pants. The long term health risks will be worth the short term risk of conflagration.
