Let's go to prison!
Would the MSNBC brass object if Ms Maddow were to run this on those rare Friday Night occasions when she has a spare minute-twenty? Probably, the old fuddy duddies...

The day after Senator Igloo's appearance :
"We followed them through the summer, and we saw something that had never been seen before," said CU ecology and evolutionary biology professor Jeff Mitton, describing the study conducted at CU's Mountain Research Station, about 25 mile west of Boulder. "Adults that were newly laid eggs two months before were going out and attacking trees."………. The Mountain Research Station site is about 10,000 feet in elevation, 1,000 feet higher than the beetles have historically thrived. In their study, Mitton and Ferrenberg emphasize this anomaly.
the number of days that were warm enough for the beetles to grow increased by 44 percent since 1970.
But in 25 years, the beetles have expanded their range, 2,000 feet higher in elevation and 240 miles north in latitude in Canada, Mitton said.
This exponential increase in the beetle population might help to explain the scope of the current beetle epidemic, which is the largest in history and extends from the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico to the Yukon Territory near Alaska.

I have a technical question, about the advertising on the RMS here on the web. I've been getting the same crappy, lie-filled ExxonMobil ad over and over and over...
...and it's driving me INSANE. Please, for the love of god, find something to change it, or maybe make it so we don't see the same one over and over, if that's the only one you have?
They don't control the advertising on their webpage or on their show. Maddow has explained before that they are powerless to stop these ads. I know they are annoying as hell, but the staff at TRMS cannot stop them. You need to write to MSNBC corporate and tell them how you feel and tell them you want the advertisements to stop. This is the only way to effect change.
BEST a block ever!!!
Afghanistan’s war being complicated, but that is really what wars are. They are messy, people die and get hurt. Emotions run high and people get stressed. People look for answers and solutions and it is hard to find them. And one wrong slip turns everything upside down. But that is the very thing about wars, they are never easy, except the people that think something can be so easily resolved by a war. Also, that is why it is always better to find better answers and solutions before someone even thinks to start a war. People are just waking up now to what a war really is and it is a big mess.
The problem here is that far too many people want to point to WWII as a big boost to our economy. They actually do not care that war has never stopped any ideology, Nazis still exist,Communism thrives, hatred and bigotry will be around forever and yet war for the sake of greed is the norm. The saddest thing of all is just how easy the hawks can grab the stage by waving the flag and talking about freedom. We the People are fools.
Here is what I don't understand.
Why isn't Rachel Maddow pointing out that all these same governors have decided to take the health care bill to the supreme court because they say the federal government is requiring people to buy a product they don't want; and then passing laws that do the same thing, requiring woman to pay for a product, a sonogram, that they neither want nor need.
To me it seems like it is the same thing, only in the case of the sonogram, it is something their doctors say they really do not need, and in the case of health care insurance is something most people agree they really should have.
Let's not forget that the mandate was a republican idea. They of course wanted to force everyone to carry insurance rather than continue to have hospitals give life saving services to people who can not afford them. Well actually they just wanted the insurance lobby to get richer, but they had to have a more acceptable excuse(one that would avoid discussing socialized health care).
I don't think Corbett is liking the link from this blog to his fb page, since it is just inundated with the scorn he deserves from his constituents. Tom Corbett, once known simply as another right wing hypocrite who covered up the PSU sex scandal, will now go down in history as the Governor who invaded a woman's most intimate parts.
So many gods, so little time! Save us, save us from our wicked ways oh great lying self-rigtheous arrogant righties.
What this country needs is a good ten cent cigar and fewer republicans telling us how to live our lives while they kill those who have oil or refuse to convert.
Single malt (especially something as nice as Ardbeg) for cocktails? Shame on you!
