Everytime I see Romney lie about his concern over jobs I want to scream. The company i worked for for 31 years sold our division to a company owned by Bain Capitol which decided to move 170 jobs to China. So we have all seen how concerned Romney is about working people. Oh wait, thats right, he doesn't care about anyone who isn't in the 1%.

Thank you, Rachel! I watch you every night and often find myself saying "THANK YOU, RACHEL" right out loud because you have so many cogent, incisive reports. Sometimes, it's because you find a way of saying what I've been thinking. Lots of times it's because you expose something that everyone seriously needs to know about that no one else is discussing. But this time, I felt compelled to go one step further and actually write a comment. I've been listening to Mitt Romney's LIES for months on end and usually end up screaming at the TV --- YOU LIAR!!! (or words to that effect). So, THANK YOU for finally putting it all together in a beautifully stitched tapestry of LIES for all the world to see. Bravo! Well done!

Your piece tonight on Romney and his lies has to be right up there with the best of Maddow. This piece needs to be replayed in its entirety for the rest of the year to election as it is a carthartic revelation of how bereft of ideas and objectivity the Republican party has become, if Romney is the best they can offer, a man who will lie to be anything you want him to be, sort of man for all seasons in a negative sense, then the party must need serious reform which I do not think they are capable of until they distance themselves from the Tea Party, they are indeed moribund.

In any case why America would want a cooperate raider (which is really what he is and why he did not want the auto industry bailout so that he and his ilk could feast on the carcass) as president completely boggles - it would be like the cat among the pidgeons- mother Hubbard's kitchen would be like a supermarket in comparison to the economy.

It was a pleasure to watch that segment. Thank you, Rachel, for having the sheer guts to call a lie a lie - in fact, to call Romney's many, many, many lies just that - lies. The "media" needs to stop tip-toeing around this - he is a shameless, unabashed liar - and those who hold the "Romney" signs up at his stump speeches may just as well be holding up signs that read, "Romney-Lies 2012."

I am not an evangelical or right wing Christian and rarely support their views but I understand why these people dislike and distrust Romney, who is as shifty as wind-blown desert sand. It is said in the Old Testament that "Satan is the father of all lies," (2 Nephi 2:18) and in the New Testament in John 8:44 that "Satan is the father of lies." Scripture is full of epithets for Satan, the Great Deceiver. He is a slanderer, schemer, deceiver, angel of false light. He is of weak or poor character: "has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character . . . ." (2 Nephi 2:18).

Sad to say, Romney seems not to be able to help himself or stop his habitual lying, perhaps because as is indicated above, "he speaks out of his own character" because "there is no truth in him." Frankly, this does seem to describe Romney, a man with money he exploited as a corporate raider, a person without character or truth in him. A man who lies because he is a lie. This is why Romney seems so disingenuous or phony: there is very little if any substance behind his "angelic," pretty-boy mask.

white people, most immigrants have some form of respectability, not mexicans though.

the mexicans, since they owned the vast portion of the west, they need to be demon-

important phrase in the constitution, that reads, " to promote the general welfare''. MITT, take this phrase to the supreme court and have them deny that the word all means general welfare, General welfare, to promote the general welfare is not an

exclusive term but an inclusive term. Have them in their self rightious mentality try tofind exclusivity in the term general. How about that Mr. Romney, can you for once

twist something in the direction of it's intended, constitutionally defined intention of

these very thoughtful and well intentioned founders, grand sounding scheme after the

self-rightious mount rushmore glorification. WILLARD, GO AHEAD AND LIE, SAY THAT YOU TRULY BELIEVE IN THIS THE WAY I DO.

Being in Canada and watching TRMS on-line where often the same commercial is played after every segment: it was particularly ludicrous that after the Mittens lying segment (after all the others, too) we were immediately treated to the wonderful serial-lying commercial about how the tar sands pipeline will bring 500,000 jobs and supply clean, safe energy, as well as a free puppy, to every U.S. household.

But tonight I had to go one step further and actually post a comment regarding your beautifully stitched tapestry of Romney LIES -- I've been listening to him tamper with the facts (especially about the president) for months now and usually end up screaming "LIAR!" at the TV. Your 3/21/12 show devoted a lot of time to the lies of Mitt Romney. As a former Mormon who was also a brainwashed missionary as was Romney and has since published a book of the ‘Fatal Flaws’ of the Book of Mormon, you have to understand that the cult he is a member of was founded by a charlatan liar. His followers are indoctrinated in the belief that the ‘end justifies the means’. Joseph Smith gave a prophesy after his failed efforts to run for President of the USA called the “White Horse” prophesy. Basically the White Knight (Mormon) on a White Horse coming to the rescue of America or the Constitution by becoming the President and filling important offices of the Government with returned Mormon Missionaries holding the Mormon Priesthood.

Romney believes as did his father wearing the ‘magic underwear’ that all temple goers wear to remind them of the blood oath they made in the temple that their final authority in all things are Mormon Church leaders in Salt Lake City.

When I went to SLC to the Church office in the hope to get some clarification of doctrine; (While waiting in the office) I saw a book/magazine called ‘Useful Fiction’. It condoned making up stories if it led to strengthening the faith of Mormons in the Mormon Church.

Romney believes anything he says is condoned by his faith if it makes him President!

Romney is an idot I don't understand why people can not see these lies? Watching Rachel Maddow and love that you said what a liar he is!!!

Rachel, you missed the connection between Romney's elitism/out-of-touchiness and his lying: He lies BECAUSE he thinks -- thinks -- as an elitist, too.

What does that mean? It's dominionism (I'm not saying he's part of that conspiracy, though -- but the term refers to a state of mind, too): he has a low regard for the masses.

I know Mormons. And I know Mormon ward presidents who think EXACTLY the same way. Think about it and you'll understand where it comes from: Mormon prophets are regular people like you and I, and yet they are elevated to positions of absolute authority. Why? Because they are chosen (by other elite Mormons) as being BETTER. They don't "earn" their positions. They are tagged almost from birth, carefully educated and given experiences and initiations that induct them into the higher echelons of Mormon hierarchy.

Romney was raised to be a Mormon leader. Mormon leaders are soaked in a belief that they are superiors. The ultimate indication of this is that the Mormon scriptures clearly indicate that, if you are worthy, you can become a god. WORTHY.

Not worthy. Worthy. Not worthy. Worthy.

They'll NEVER discuss this with an outsider -- I wasn't an outsider. I was an insider by virtue of pretending to believe in order to please someone I loved.

I am not talking about rank-and-file Mormons, who are excruciatingly sweet and innocent, as a whole. Truly. But their leadership is a whole different thing -- and that nasty little trait, the belief that some people are superior to others, is buried deep and has been since the founding of the church in the mid 1800s.

Don't forget: Romney's grandfather was CHOSEN to immigrate to Mexico.

Plebes are too stupid, too inferior, to recognize a lie, much less to REMEMBER it later.

Is it just me, but is calling Romney a liar because he said "the economy" got worse after Obama took office a bit excessive? Rachel says the economy got better "almost immediately," and some parts of the economy did.

But other parts of the economy didn't get better, such as the unemployment rate and the national debt. The unemployment rate is only now coming back to the level it was three years ago. So, does this mean Rachel is a liar?

Take another supposed Romney "lie." Rachel says Romney said the federal goverment should have a health care plan like the plan he put in place in Massachussets. This is one of Rachel's favorites, and was recently used in a DNC ad claiming Romney has flip-flopped on this issue.

But Politifact recently reviewed this claim and rated it "mostly false."

God Bless Rachel Maddow! Her segment on Mitt Romney, the Etch a Sketch and his endless lying should be required viewing for every voter. If I were a Republican watching her communicate Romney's biggest gaffe ever in plain talk voters can understand and adding quote after quote to back up her points... I would burst into tears. Romney can not recover from this.
