President Obama clarifies yesterday's "hot mic" remarks.
But "I will transmit this information to Vladimir" is already a thing.

It's called diplomacy, and the president was simply engaging in something every American commander in chief has done and will need to do in the future. What was Obama supposed to say, that he's going to lose? Conservatives are not only raging hypocrites for attacking the president for this while they slammed anyone who dared to criticizes George W. Bush's repeated international gaffes, but they are staking out a dangerous and naive policy if they truly believe Russia is our "greatest threat," as Mitt Romney said. The GOP is conducting foreign policy based on political opportunism, and that is wrong. http://www.sunstateactivist.org
Life Imitating Art:
"I will transmit this information to Vladimir" -- Dmitri Medvedev, 2012 Seoul, Korea
"I will transmit this information to
VladimirFearless Leader" -- Boris Badenov, ca. 1965, The Bullwinkle ShowThe "Conservative Teen" magazine is mislabeled. It should be "Radical Right-Wing Teen." Teens should indeed be taught that abstinence is the right thing for a lot of good reasons. But if they also are not taught how to not cause pregnancy (couch it in terms of what they should do after marriage, if you must) the result is young people who get overwhelmed by their urges and then consider abortion or bring babies into the world unprepared. And "Liberal Media Bias" is ridiculous in the face of Faux News and their unabashed bias.
My favorite headline was "abstinence works". This is a disgusting dangerous lie. Abstinence may prevent pregnancy but it doesn't prevent sex...which means it can't really prevent pregnancy.
The flip side of that, Mark, can be the confusion and frustration of those who do what their told and do practice abstinence until marriage. A friend of mine knows someone who is trying to do a documentary about this issue. Here is a synopsis:
"Jesus, Don’t Let Me Die Before I’ve Had Sex will be a feature-length documentary examining the sexual teachings of the Evangelical Church and exploring the undercurrent of idealism that leaves many people feeling frustrated and confused. Told in an honest and fair fashion, the movie will paint a picture of what is taught explicitly and implicitly by showing how churchgoers react to those teachings through anecdotes of first kisses, chastity rallies and secret obsessions. Along side these stories will be interviews of pastors reflecting on their own teachings, as well historians and sociologists diagramming the evolution of sexual teaching in the Church. Intercut throughout will be poignant stop-motion animation bringing to life the pain, joy, triumph and sorrow of our interviewees."

Got caught promising change AFTER the election...didn't he learn already that the Russians do not reciprocate?
I see other changes, gay marriage, Keystone XL approval, and much more dangerous flip-flops.
Be concerned. Be very concerned.
Be Vewwwy Afwwaid, Be Vewwy Afwwaid. Here comes the Boogie man. How dare you say that stuff. I'm mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore. Please don't be afraid, and don't get angry. We're all just trying to find our way. They're more afraid of us then we are of them.
A first step would be to start talking to little boys. In my opinion girls just want to hold hands and have a boyfriend. Men are real proud of their sons when they boinck a girl. This attitude hasn't helped any. Boys need to have respect for girls.I do beleive TV shows and some of the music is a bad influence on young people. Adults can handle it better than our children can. Children tend to act first and then think about the consequences later, we all did. Conservative parents aren't the only ones with a vested interest in this.
I agree with Texas Phantom, the "Conservative Teen" magazine seems to be a little "zealot-y"....Really, a whole magazine filled of radical right wing rhetoric (yay, alliteration). If this is the standard for "conservatives" then the "liberal" answer to match this would fall somewhere between a completely patriarchal society (like Singapore) or anarchy. It makes me think that really the game is for the right to move so far that they start pulling the left center. In truth, doesn't someone have to be sane?
I didn't read the books, and have no plan to see the movie. But this is just... awful:

It's horrible! I read the article last night. Hard to believe that $*&! still exists. The funny thing, too, is that the characters, especially Rue and Cinna, were wonderful. Fun, kind, understanding, helpful. I just can't comprehend that mindset.
Indeed, part of the horror is that these people felt the same way about the characters... until they found out they were black.
You won't be surprised, but here's a report on the statistics of people who receive government support and yet don't seem to know it:

What disgusts me is how the liberals never call out conservatives on how capitalism is based on spreading wealth upwards.
The only way to create wealth is to grow something, dig something out of the ground, or to make something (or come up with a better way to do one of these three things.) Wall Street does NONE of these things. Wall Street just steals from the people who do!
For example speculation in the futures market is causing over $0.50 to be added to every gallon of gas. This speculation doesn't help the economy in anyway. It actually hurts the economy. And I know, I for one am not profiting from this speculation and I don't know anyone who is.
Wall Street may have its place, but its a firm principle of civilization that you never let the lunatics run the asylum, allow the criminals to run the prison, or allow the fox to guard the hen house.
We need to take our economy back from Wall Street.
Someone should break it (gently - it will be quite a shock) to the editors of Conservative Teen that Barack Obama is not the only African-American. My goodness, they're everywhere!
