Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch
It seems the already ugly Wisconsin recall drama can get even uglier. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (with our own annotation:
"Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch is attacking a Democratic recall challenger to Gov. Scott Walker and throwing gender politics into the mix. Kleefisch, a Republican, is criticizing former Dane County executive Kathleen Falk for 'setting women back 50 years.' " (Right…because a woman trying to replace an ovverreaching Republican male governor is so "Mad Men." Run along and get me some coffee, toots.)
"Kleefisch said Falk is using public employee unions as a 'sugar daddy' to support her campaign" (Apparently labor unions are pimps now. Good to know. So that makes Kathleen Falk….what, exactly? Hate the game, not the player…)
"…and in exchange promising to strongly restore collective bargaining provisions repealed by Walker." (Because no one would want to restore collective bargaining rights just because it's the fair thing to do. A person would have to be bribed to fight for something like that…)
" 'It is scandalous, and it reeks of the dependent, fragile woman leaning on a big, strong arm because she doesn't believe she can do it on her own,' Kleefisch said."
(1—So, working within an organization is scandalous? Does Scott Walker know about this? 2—Reeks? Ms. Kleefisch, you can actually smell the indignation of the electorate? Would that be Eau de No?… 3—"dependent, fragile woman?" Dependent, fragile women ALWAYS take on entrenched, well-funded power elites. That's what they DO. 4-"Leaning on a big, strong arm" Are you familiar with the term "projection?" Or "anthropomorphism"? Also? I know lots of women with big strong arms. Big, strong capable arms. 5-“Because she doesn't believe she can do it on her own" So you're psychic, too! You mind-melded with Kathleen Falk's brain and heard this: "My deepest desire is to replace Governor Walker, but I'm such a weak silly girl that I need a rich, manly union with big strong arms to achieve my selfish dreams for me.” Well played, ma'am. A grateful nation thanks you. Santorum/Kleefisch '16, anyone? )

I wonder what you get when you Google "Kleefisch." Sounds like it could be worse than "Santorum."
She compared gay marriage to marrying a dog or a table when she was running with Walker. WTF? This is not Mississippi. Even if we recall her, I'm stuck with a Kleefisch in my own pond--her husband Joel, the one you may have seen on youtube voting for 2 missing colleagues. When he's not doing that, he's sleeping through committee meetings and once or twice a year he introduces a new hunting bill. Now it's sandhill cranes. "The rib eye of the sky," he says. Help me, goddess-I'm stuck with him for the next decade since my town is now drawn into a huge-majority Republican district.
face+palm.
She's crooked, I mean literally her picture is crooked.
Kent,
You left out "slut". How could you possibly leave out "slut"? You have references that might lead one to think you mean "slut" but you don't use "slut".
There, four usages. I have done it for you.
To the salt mines!
Michelle Bachman - Sarah Palin wannabe . Ex NOOZE Anchor ...Spent to much time reading teleprompters I'm sure.
Google the woman ...be amazed
She pissed off her Uncle Pfauser! Sounds like a one way ticket to Sachsenhausen.
EEK!
LOL - Love the take. Now, if this were a Republican challenging a Democrat up for recall enlisting the help of the Tea Party, it would be different. I am going to borrow the comment, 'Hate the game, not the player'. Maybe enough folks on both sides will finally hate the game enough to do something about it instead of taking advantage or whatever rising tide is rising. Sigh.
Now I understand why they throw shoes in other parts of the world. If someone were standing in front of me saying that, I would want to throw my shoe at them.
Me too- but I would keep my foot in it!
Actually, I think chimps have the right idea.
Yeah I don't really think folks are going to buy this rather convoluted reasoning (if one dares call it "reasoning").
If "using public employee unions as a 'sugar daddy" is all she has for Ms. Falk, then what does she call Walker using Koch brother money? I'd call that bought and paid for - and that's only legal in Las Vegas.........
Falk will not respond to the comments because that would be undignified. On the other hand, the unions can send bags of kitty litter to Kleefisch.
I find Kleefich's statement factually correct and does the exact opposite of what you claim. It says women should not sell themselves. Faulk has sold her vote. Right? Do you not agree? The union says we will support you but you must veto a budget that does not support us. I find uplifting and supportive of women and targets Faulk for selling herself and her vote. What am I seeing different than you?
I'm afraid your comment does not reflect reality at all. Walker and Kleefisch were "bought" by the Koch Brothers when they donated millions to their campaign for governor--a campaign that never said anything about eliminating collective bargaining and starting an all-out assault against all unions, people on BadgerCare, green energy, public transportation and Wisconsin's tradition of honest, open government.
A year ago, Republicans, who then controlled both houses, actually broke open meetings law in an attempt to pass the collective bargaining bill with no opportunity for input from Democrats or the people of Wisconsin. Kathleen Falk (not Faulk) has not sold her soul to the unions. She has simply pledged (like the majority of Democratic candidates in all races this year) to work to restore collective bargaining--something MOST state residents support. Naturally the unions would want to support the first well-known candidate to make this pledge.
Perhaps you don't know that Walker has been travelling the nation getting donations from conservative Republicans. These are the real "sugar daddies" and also have a whole lot more "sugar" than a few unions. Union membership is at an all-time low historically. Over the past 30 years, the rich in this country have become VERY rich and the middle class and poor have lost ground. Walker and Kleefisch's funding for the recall election will dwarf any Democratic candidate thanks to his right-wing "sugar daddies."
*sniff sniff* I think this "reeks" of another Sarah Palin.
Let me get this straight, it's okay to bankroll your way to an election on the backs of two billionaires, but NOT from a union of thousands of people paying their dues?
Granted, there are union employees that don't agree with what their unions are doing, but the sheer size of its agreeable membership should dwarf whatever argument that this "girl" has.
Anyone smell a "Palin" reincarnation?
Yup, big strong arms, like these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:We_Can_Do_It!.jpg
Shame, too, that Kleefisch has never sung the Union Maid, I'd imagine.
Found this also ..Why do so many people hate you?
Kleefisch recall garners 843,000 signatures

MADISON (AP) - Wisconsin election officials say recall organizers turned in nearly 843,000 signatures against Republican Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
A state Government Accountability Board spokesman released a statement late Monday afternoon noting recall organizers turned in 842,860 names against Kleefisch in January. The announcement marked the first official public signature tally.
Recall organizers need 540,208 valid names to trigger an election. The GAB's statement says board staff have stricken 29,125 names so far. The board's review continues, but Kleefisch has chosen not to challenge any signatures' authenticity. That means an election is a near certainty.
The earliest any election could be held is early May.
Dear Rachel
It might interest you to know that Mrs Kleefisch campaigned heavily on the much hated healthcare reform law, despite being a breast cancer survivor.
How did she survive, you might ask?
Her husband has a FABULOUS health insurance plan. It only costs 80.00 a month. Isnt that great? Mrs Kleefisch was all in love with her husbands healthcare plan and bragged about it during her campaign.
That would be her husband, the FEDERAL EMPLOYEE on a FEDERAL TAX DOLLAR PAID healthcare plan that thousands of other tax payers dont have access to.
Just a point of correction: Her husband is not a federal employee. He's a State Assemblyman. He still receives an amazing health care package, so you were right there. I point this out because I find it interesting that R. Kleefisch was chosen as Lt. Gov., her husband is in the assembly, and beyond that there are 3 Fitzgerald's in powerful positions in our state's government: Scott F. was Senate Majority Leader (now Co-Majority Leader), his brother is Speaker of the Assembly, and their father is head of the State Troopers (who were called, some say illegally, to collect the 14 absent state Senators.) Minor point about the federal versus state employee, but it does open up the cronyism that has been taking place here since Walker ascended.
Actually, she has colon cancer, not breast. And she's not a survivor yet. You have to go 5 years disease free to be a survivor. She's currently undergoing chemotherapy - which she started after being sworn in as Lt. Governor, after telling the people of WI during the campaign that she'd been declared "disease free."
I am not a fan of our Lt Gov and am disgusted that she is against national health care since she now has a pre-existing condition.
The only thing I can defend her about is that she is a cancer survivor and is done with chemotherapy. As a cancer survivor myself, many of us believe we are survivors from the moment we are diagnosed.
I hope she is recalled. She is part of the problem with WI right now and will continue to move women backwards if she stays in office.
Not just women. She may be a survivor, and I don't think anyone can attack her for... having survived cancer? But for the MANY other things she has said, she is fair game. This is just the latest in her delusions. She came on my radar back during the election for many comments she was making, one of which was about gay marriage and marrying furniture.
Too bad, so sad, all you liberals when both Walker and Kleefisch are still in office after the failed recall. HAA HAA!
So, basically, she takes the long way 'round calling her a union whore. SUPER classy.
this women kleefisch is an odiot get rid of her and walker
God I wish there was a pill for stupid!
If there were no one would take it, I would hope that Palin would be first in line for it, along with this woman who is a complete and total idiot
Ms. Kleefisch is the pot calling the kettle black. Her financial support comes from the likes of the Koch brothers. I like a good mud fight and I'm sure that's what is going to happen as time moves along during the recall process.
Who's your daddy, Mrs. Lt. Governor? The Koch Brothers....
Kleefisch is sounding more and more like a Vantriloquist's dummy (Walker must have his hand up her shirt) because this sounds more like words that would be spoken by a masculine person than something a R E A L W O M A N would say. It is words used by people prior to the Baby Boomers, could that be K O C H brothers.
I really, really rue the day that Lee Atwater and Roger Ailes did their dastardly deed of infecting the GOP with negative, snarky, spiteful rhetoric to win like a bully. There seems to be no antidote nor vaccine for it. This woman (and I use the term loosely) is waaay off base and right back at ya honey with your hypocrisy "setting women back 50 years"...look in the mirror. I need to run away.
"I really, really rue the day that Lee Atwater and Roger Ailes did their dastardly deed of infecting the GOP with negative, snarky, spiteful rhetoric to win like a bully."
so true. every bit as bad as when carville and begala did the same thing to the DNC, using lies and BS to win.
When I see things like this, I often want to question these Republican lawmakers. I want to question the women that, if they truly wish to roll women's rights back so much, then why are they in positions of power? Heck, why are they working? Don't they want to return women and women's rights back to the 50's? Or is it they want that only for certain women?
And for the Republican men & women, who continue to say that the government is broken, then go on to say that government is the problem. I would ask, then why are you getting yourselves elected? If government is so broken, why would you bother with it at all?
It ends up showing the lies behind why they say what they do. They say they want small government, but that's only for them and those like them. They want very big government for the rest of the country, and they want as much control over our lives as they can get. They also go out of their way to continue to lie that our government is irretrievably broken, then get themselves elected so that they can actually break it.
I have to ask, where are the moderate and somewhat progressive Republicans? Has their shift to the right actually made them an extinct species?
And I would love to know WHY these people aren't worrying about things that really need to be changed for the better? There are so many problems in our government that need to be looked at and worked on and yet these idiots insist on discussing this crap about women's contraception and working their way more into our lives in an even more invasive manner. I'm sick of it!
Also Today in Hyperbole...the despicable exploitation of a murder for political reasons continues as the trayvon case remains a national story.
so why no national outrage over the 100s and 1000s of african americans killed by other african americans? 1000s and 1000s of those and no reaction whatsoever. why?
does anyone seriously doubt this is being made into a national catastrophe for the sake of the upcoming presidential campaign?
zimmerman deserves the chair. that's obvious. but the reaction to this story is absurd, racially polarizing (thanks, lefty media!), and incredibly disproportionate compared to the reality of young AA males being shot dead.
I assume informed readers know the stats. they are heartbreaking. how that truth is serially ignored while a comparatively rare occurrence becomes the outrage du jour is astounding.
Probably because when they catch the other murderers they don't let them go right away without charging them for a crime? Open your eyes and read a bit before opening your mouth.
Your post is off topic. And calls for a person's execution without knowledge of all the facts is clearly a rush to judgment.
Refer to Dominus's post. People are upset because the man admitted to shooting him, no investigation was done, which most forensics would require as soon as possible action taken, and only AFTER people started getting upset over this did they even begin a very haphazard investigation into the events. Whether Zimmerman actually "stood his ground" or not has become a secondary issue, as the complete disregard for the truth by the Sanford PD is the main concern for everyone. And that disregard smacks of racial issues. A seemingly white man shoots a black kid and says it was self-defense, and the PD just take his word for it, whereas we all know if the situation were reverse, they would have arrested the black kid immediately and charged him.
That's what I have been thinking as well. What if nothing was even said about this shooting? What if it had just been swept under the rug as "another shooting in the neighborhood" and ignored? Only when people started making a huge uproar did anything get moving as far as finding out what happened! And yes, we DO all know what would have happened if a black boy had shot this guy there would have been no hesitation about putting him in a cell where he would stay until the lynching committee got going on it!!
Just LOVE the 'sugar daddy' part; but that's because she's really calling it as it is... you see she knows the Koch brothers are her pimps and since they have her on the cash-heroin, she knows it's her duty to say 'Hey, go work another corner !! I got this one staked already and David and Co don't take kindly to anyone muscling in on their street'
Kleefisch is our very own Sarah Palin! She even has the hair! This woman is an idiot!!
