There is only one reason why we can't get rid of oil subsidies. Half the United States Senate has been bribed by the oil industry. Wasn't Randy "Duke" Cunningham prosecuted for accepting bribes? Can't we prosecute a few other people in Washington for blatant bribe taking?

When these politicians in the Senate cannot even get rid of some oil subsidies there is something really wrong. Is our government so corrupt that just by simply getting some money from the oil lobbyists allows these subsidies to remain. There is the point of this too. Anybody who really does want to do some good things for our country gets drowned out by these cons and scam artists in the Senate and Congress and by these lobbyists. It is like geesh come on don’t you even have any ethics or morals. You know you can attain money in better ways for good things than to basically steal the American people blind and causing despair.

Gosh Congress puts big oil above the people. What a shock.

The Supreme Court doesn't want to go through all those pages of the Healthcare reform law. Well how is the supreme court judges suppose to know what is in the law unless they look at all of it. Do your job Supreme Court Judges, you pack of slackers. Other people have to do it so do you.

The time to stop the D.C. pipeline is long overdue.

Assume that the current oil subsidies are borne by the taxpayer, and that if the subsidies were removed, oil companies would pass the costs on to consumers at the pump. This shifts the burden from a progressive system (the income tax) to a flat/regressive one (cost per gallon of gas). Seems like a Republican dream!

We now know for sure why we are still paying gas tax subsidies. The GOP has sided with the Oil Companies like they always have ,now we know why. You can connect the dots with a lot of their decisions based on their loyalty to the Oil Companies. The Oil Companies now run this country it has been taking away from the citizens of the U.S. The amount of money that the GOP gets from Oil Companies is pure blood money. This form of governing should be illegal. Big Oil should not be allowed to contribute to the GOP ...PERIOD. Our Public Officials are being paid not by us but, by special interests. We voted them in but, we can vote them out it they are taking any kind of kickbacks from large Corporations. Corporations are not people. Inch by inch they have made their way into Our White House. We have opened the door for them. Now they don't even bother to knock ,they just walk right in and lie, cheat and steal. They hand out some bonuses to their employees(GOP) and leave. Guess what, we have been left to take out the garbage and we will come voting time. What I don't understand is why doesn't this information ever make it to CNN or Primetime news. Oh, the Oil Companies are also welcome guest to these institutions. Expose, expose some more and expose again.

More Dem criminal incompetence. That they aren't running on ending these subsidies, 24/7 for two weeks solid -- just incompetent.
