Why isn't anyone noting that 13 yeard old Malia Obama is currently vacationing in Mexico with a bunch of her friends and 25 Secret Service Agents, at a total cost of more than what an average single American earns during his entire lifetime?
Still probably significantly less than medical bills for the guy Cheney shot!!!

If you put such costs in context with what is considered allowable expenditures for the POTUS, you might have a better perspective on what this President does. Should you take a few minutes to make comparisons, you will find that his expenditures on trips and vacations are actually on par or lower than previous administrations.
You must realize just how carefully watched this president is, what he spends, where he goes, and what his family does on taxpayer money. You must also realize that the man is smart and understands where the financial level of this nation is, and that every move he or his family makes will be scrutinized and discussed in public forums to foster outrage over his lifestyle if at all possible.
This is an election year and the other team needs to exploit all real and imaginary issues to gain traction for their own excessively wealthy bloviating candidates who'll spend just as much (if not far more given the track record of the last conservative president) as the current President should any one of them ascend to the White House.

Ditto on Pauly's comment to Mr. Lewis...Perhaps it would help you Mr. Lewis to research before you post...Geo W. Bush took more vacation time than the last 8 Presidents..no one is even close to George.. moving the entire white house/secret service/aides etc to TX...what do you think that cost...and his wife and daughters toured the world many times..but actually I think that is fine for both Democratic & GOP families they are excellent ambassadors for the United States..take a gander at the defense budget and see if you think we really need a budget double the next 15 ranking nations combined???

Hopefully the Trayvon Martin family has a voice recording of their dead son, or one of the friends of Trayvon has his voice on their cellphone voice mail. Why?
Because one of the 9-1-1 calls has someone calling for help before the fatal shot, and forensics experts should be able to determine who was crying for help by doing a voice analysis.
If it is Trayvon Martin’s voice crying for help, then Zimmerman’s story is toast, and Zimmerman probably killed the unarmed Martin in cold blood. And this would indicate that Zimmerman’s account is probably reversed, with him telling Trayvon Martin that this was going to be the night he, Trayvon Martin, died, BAM. The eyewitness and 9-1-1 call evidence already suggests that whoever was shot was the one calling for help, but a voice analysis and match to Trayvon Martin on that 9-1-1 call would clinch it, not manslaughter, Murder One.
Or maybe the match is to George Zimmerman’s voice. This would still not exonerate Zimmerman for defying police orders and chasing down this unarmed kid with a gun. That’s not “self-defense,” that’s just plain stupid, and in my view, still deserving of at least a manslaughter charge.
In the meantime, where is George Zimmerman? We've seen his daddy, the registered Republican retired judge, on television defending his son. We've seen George's brother on television doing the same. But where's George? In watching Rev. Al Sharpton's excellent program earlier, we learned that under Florida law, someone has to be arrested and charged within 175 days or they can't be arrested and charged, apparently meaning that in approximately 140 days, George Zimmerman will have immunity over whatever happened the night Trayvon Martin was killed. So, where is George Zimmerman? If there was any reason for someone to take flight, like for over 175 days, maybe even fleeing the country, maybe to Mexico, I can't think of any better reason for someone to go into hiding (or fleeing completely), especially as more and more evidence keeps popping up that calls into question George Zimmerman's account of what happened that night. So, where is George Zimmerman? Probably only members of the Zimmerman family know. Not the police. Not Florida state authorities. Not the DOJ. (My bet is he's probably already fled the country, as far away from Volusia County and Sanford FL as possible).
Zimmerman needs to be arrested immediately and put an end to this ridiculous speculation in the press..Charge him and let the facts be presented. As for his relatives..best advice stay off TV, you have hurt your son's case and if this was the idea of your attorney, next best advice...get a new attorney..Video proved you both liars..tiny cut on the back of the head and no signs of blood on clothing, no swelling of nose=stupid lawyer.

I'd say the same, but it's obvious from her recent comments about being old that she's already dreading the next one. I think I know how she feels. Approaching 40 is no fun for anyone, but it's especially so for people who are basically just big kids because they have none. Been there, done that, bought the casket.
Fortunately, it wears off and you stop being concerned about it. It's even better when your contemporaries start having grandchildren. You're still a kid, they've become fossils. Those are the happiest birthdays, and the closest thing to feeling immortal.
