Still looking over the state of Indiana's budget problems. After moaning that union rights needed to be destroyed and Right-to-work legislation was needed to "fix" Indiana's budget, money just keeps being "found." First there was 150 million that just suddenly appeared in the budget that was allocated for kindergarten. Then there was 320 million that a "glitch" hid. Now we get word that another 200 million was hidden that was supposed to go to the counties. So that's over half a billion that the Daniels administration "lost" while they cut education, emergency services, law enforcement, with an extra 150 million that budget tricks suddenly coughed up.

This has bothered me for some time so I have decided to post it on a regular basis. No one and I mean no one talks about why the Republicans are able to stop all reasonable appointments and legislation from going through the Senate. The Republicans do not Filibuster. When is the last time you saw a Republican filibuster? Sure on occassion Reid will force through something that he knows he can win on but he does not make the Republicans do the actual work of fillibustering.

I wonder where Richard Engel is? Hmmm...on the Orient Express, perhaps outside Ankhara?

Why are we still in Afghanistan? What are we doing there? We need to bring our troops home so that they can get to work here knocking down the walls and cultivating the soil for farming. There's a lot of mouths to be fed and a lot of medicine needs to be distributed to people who are sick.

I wonder if the Romney at the beach photo will be used like the Kerry photo was? I doubt it, there are too many individuals who protect him for some asinine reason.

Didn't a filibuster used to mean someone actually had to stand at a podium and talk, read or something for hours, days, or whatever. Now they simply pull some other stunt and it qualifies as a filibuster. Can someone explain please?

It seems that after a month of trying, anti-marriage equality forces in Washington State have collected less than 6,000 signatures to put a repeal measure on the ballot this November. At this rate they'll get maybe 16,000 to 18,000 by the time they have turn in the signatures. They need 120,577. Better hustle, guys.
