Today's installment of campaign-related news items that won't necessarily generate a post of their own, but may be of interest to political observers:
* With Rick Santorum leaving the campaign trail to tend to an ailing daughter, Mitt Romney has temporarily pulled his anti-Santorum attack ads in Pennsylvania.
* The Santorum campaign, meanwhile, has released a full schedule of upcoming campaign events to counteract rumors of his withdrawal.
* In Massachusetts' closely-watched U.S. Senate race, Elizabeth Warren raised $6.9 million in the first quarter. That's more than double incumbent Sen. Scott Brown's (R) total of $3.4 million.
* In Wisconsin, former Rep. Dave Obey (D), an influential figure in in-state Democratic politics, has thrown his support to Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett (D) in the gubernatorial recall race. Barrett is facing former Dane County executive Kathleen Falk in an increasingly contentious primary.
* Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign is running so short on funds that he conceded yesterday that he's been forced to do some self-financing.
* The Republican National Committee appears to have successfully turned around its financial difficulties. In the wake of the Michael Steele era, the RNC has raised more than $110 million over the past 15 months and retired more than half its debt.
* And the Romney campaign, well aware of the former governor's unfavorability ratings, released a new video narrated by Ann Romney, intended to put the candidate in a more favorable light.

This case in Tulsa, OK is still suspect to me on being racist orientated. When there is church’s in the South that still preach the same things of hatred, and do not teach compassion, understanding and/or tolerance. Plus the other groups in the South that by the use of the influence of these churches promotes their hatred upon the young and adults. How can you expect something has changed, when they still preach and teach the same things of hatred? These people haven’t changed they just changed their tactics and included more dangerous materials to corrupt and influence the people there to keep their hatred going. Homosexuals, people of different religious faith and people of different skin color get beat up, harassed, or killed all the time. These churches and extreme radical groups are nothing but held in contempt for causing nothing but hatred and violence. And the Republicans like to pretend there is no racism, when this racism and hatred still exists, just so the Republicans can pander to these people of hatred for their votes.
Gee the NRC can not balance their budget and continue deficit spending. How about cutting welfare to the state politicians? Cut spending for unemployed candidates. I am sure that Paul Ryan can give you some tips to fix this and Karl Rove can blame the President for your deficit.

Standard DLC/DINO/Repuke-Lite crap! Oppose the progressive and support the repuke-lite dumbocrap candidate. Never underestimate the capacity of the dumbocrap party leaders to pull defeat from the jaws of victory by standing for anything other than being lightweight versions of repukes.
Romney seems to have a lovely family. So does the president. Ann Romney’s name won’t be on the ballot in November, but Mitt’s will. There’s the rub.
Re the video . Jes Folks. Who knew you could cram so many silver spoon faces into one video.
Romney thinks Americans' mindsets are still in the 1950s when men earned enough for their wives to stay home with the kids. So he's trying to play on nostalgia for that bygone era, even though it was precisely him and his class that destroyed economic security for the middle class family. Typical of soft fascism.
What a beautiful family, this was apparantly taken before he got hit with the disease of Greed.
When I see that video with those happy healthy children in the nice houses with nice furniture and nice swimming pool, I just wonder WHY Romney doesn't want that for EVERYONE's children!
Rmoney <Donate Now>. Poor kids, hopefully none of them have grown up to be full of @!$%#, like their father.
"Newt Gingrich's presidential campaign is running so short on funds that he conceded yesterday that he's been forced to do some self-financing."
