Rachel sat down with Jay Leno Tuesday night to talk politics, war, and "Drift" following a busy news day filled with campaign suspensions and former presidents (here's looking at you, Dubya). In case you missed it, you can watch the interview in two segments here:

I know I am going to catch hell for this, but I love, no I mean, my teen age son loves Rachel’s naughtily librarian look. Oh no I didn’t !! Sorry everyone. But I am just saying…….
I'm straight but I'm attracted to women with a tom-boy look, especially if they're intelligent and well-spoken, educated and witty. Maddow fits those, and it's ok to be attracted to a gay woman. Just don't expect anything... also if you know they're gay, don't hit on them. lol
madlionism, for a real bit of a mind-flip, I'm gay as a San Francisco parade and I find Rachel to be incredibly attractive. Not in exactly the same way many straight men do (for obvious reasons), but I still think he's absolutely fantastic.
She's like a female version of the kind of guys I usually go for.
I actually turned on Leno last night (I don't usually watch him lol) just to see Rachel's interview. Great stuff!
Rachel looks cool with the tortoise eye glass frames.
You can just see some makeup lady at NBC Burbank "punking out" Rachel's hair. LOL Always adorable.
Drift is an engaging, thoughtful read, and painfully nostalgic for those of us old enough to have watched these changes in real time, never realizing where this drift in power might lead us as a people. This content of this book is kind of an early SOS... You make your fans very proud, Rachel.
Congratulations on your 2nd week at #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list!
The glasses rock. So did the Leno spot. Fauxpinky said it eloquently - thanks and congrats, Rachel!
Thank you so much for posting this clip of the Jay Leno Show on your blog because I am currently studying in the UK this year and I cannot view this show easily outside of the US so much appreciated .
Cheers ^_^
Interesting. Unlike one other recent author --Inhofe, cough, cough -- Rachel knows the content and layout of her book so well that she can quickly flip to and quote from a passage in the midst of that most time-crunchy of conversations, the late-night interview.
