Connecticut repeals the death penalty.
President Obama angers gay-rights activists (again).
A majority of Republicans wants to end the Afghan war. This may be how we end it.
Buzzfeed talks to happy Gingrich donors.
Ron Paul threatens to quit if his next money bomb doesn't work.

If Ron Paul drops out, I'll be sad to lose a fun recreational activity: going on Ron Paul message boards and incessantly typing BUDDY ROEMER 2012!!!
I won't miss Rep. Ron Paul, neither do I care for his son either. His constant narrow-mindedness surprises me that he continues to run for office. Maybe, this will be the last time we ever hear, or see him or New Gingrich ever again. It's just too bad that the horrible rhetoric continues to sread by these two and so many others.
I just had to comment on last night's show. I was catching the midnight re-airing, and saw the story on West and the Commie remark. The show could not have been edited better! Rachel was shocked and saying ' Does that mean that he is a ...' CUT TO: the Terminix commercial with a big ugly 'pinky' monster undermining the structural integrity of a house. Loved it! I do not think it could have been planned better.
That sounds brilliant! Here in our market we got a motel commercial with a giraffe in it, so it looked like one, big, annoying editing mistake.
That the president has chosen the path of legislation rather than executive order shows that he is not the tyrant the opposition makes him out to be. at some point the processes that guide this country must be allowed to function. W. Bush had his way with Executive Orders. Mr. Obama should be more prudent in their use.
If the Ryan budget were to pass, every day would be grilled cheese or ramen day for much of America. Maybe I can make a grilled cheese sandwich with Elvis' or Jesus' face on it so I could sell it for a fortune to the GOP sheeple. Talk about a retirement plan!!
About the whole Ann Romney kerfuffle today, one thing I've yet to hear any commentator clarify: Has she ever worked a day in her life?
And gay people are shocked at Obama's "stand" on this latest gay issue? Why? Obama has never been unclear regards his position on gay rights. He's against them. And please don't tell me about the repeal of DADT. Patrick Murphy and others carried the can for Obama on that one (and thank you Patrick), Obama just took the credit and then refused to help Patrick get re-elected. When Obama stands up and says out loud, "Equal rights for all people, including gays", and acts on it, then I'll believe he's our friend. I'll remember this latest slap in the face in November.
This is one of those times when I want to ban my head on my desk and scream "and you (meaning Republicans) people think that this man is a liberal?!"
Mouzer - looks like our choices will be Bus(c)h Lite or Antarctic Nail Ale.
I really just wanted a Coke in one of those little bottles - made with cane sugar - with a few ice crystals starting to form. A bag of Planters Peanuts on the side. I like my Democrats and Republicans to be of a similar vintage but it's like the old He Haw song - "PFFT! You was gone!"
May I borrow one of those "Sigh"s you occasionally use?
