Internet, you are too wonderful for me. This week alone, you've coughed up:

Caine's Arcade, straight out of East L.A. and all that is good about nine-year-olds and dads and dreams and humanity and auto-parts shops.

And now Nina Katchadourian's airplane bathroom portraits in the Flemish style.

Seriously, I used to wonder why I waste so much of my life on the Internet. Now I intend to redouble my efforts. (Caine's Arcade and the Fox Mole video after the jump.)

Caine's Arcade truly is the best new thing in the world - not just today but in a long time! Thanks, Laura, for "wasting so much time on the internet" and finding this gem.

If I lived in LA, I would have bought Fun Passes for all the kids on my block. Since I don't, I followed the link at the end of the film and donated a little something to his college fund.

Caine, if you're reading this, you are a remarkable kid! And your dad is an amazing father.

I have to agree with SadOldVeteran. Laura, I miss yours and many of the other posters. I'm sure Mr. Benen has an audience here, but as a Right leaning viewer, I find his posts much more partisan and much less substantive. I also miss Will's frequent postings. Oh, well, change happens.

Absolutely love the flemish bathroom photographs and Caines arcade. Creativity is not dead! Mitt Romney on the other hand, if he spoke like this all the time at least he would appear slightly legitimate, as a human.
