U.S. Senators want in on the Kony2012 day of action. And Ugandan bloggers want to tell their own story.
House Democrats are joining Republicans on the Keystone XL pipeline.
Oklahoma's "personhood" bill is derailed.
Drug testing welfare recipients cost Florida more than it saved.
Birtherism is alive and well.
Look up this weekend.

A liberal, a moderate, and a conservative walk into a bar. The bartender says...
“Hi, Mitt!" 8)
Florida's drug testing law may be costing the state a lot of money, but it's okay when the money being wasted is personally benefitting documented corporate criminal Rick Scott.
Keystone XL does NOT help with gas prices. It's for a Canadian company to move Canadian oil across our land to their ships for them to sell on the international market. WE GET NOTHING! Except of course the nightmare of cleanup when it leaks. And even more carbon in the atmosphere. And a nice big target to terrorists to blow up.
At last SOMEONE who understand this whole bill of goods!
How quickly we forget what tar sands spills look like. Well, the people along 40 miles of the Kalamazoo River, in Michigan, don't forget; oh... except those who have already died (at least 17, so far, with many still gravely ill). And did we forget the Enbridge spill cost over $1 billion, in 2010, killing the fish and wildlife, in and along the river... Oh, and the Keystone XL pipeline will cross over 1,700 bodies of water, including the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers; let alone the aquifers that provide so much of our country's agricultural irrigation. And for what? 20,000 temporary, 'mythical' jobs...? Far more damage to 'air', 'land' and 'water' (even without spills); which translates into damage to 'life'. Ask yourself one question: Is this pipeline venture 'ethical'; meaning: is it 'the greatest good, for the greatest number' of all life affected, or potentially affected?
Mind if I share this?
OKlahoma's personhood bill didn't make it to the floor because a female representative added an amendment that would prohibit men from "placing semen anywhere except a woman's vagina". The good ol' boys at first screamed this violated their rights! I don't think they liked the shoe on the other foot for a change!!
Temporary jobs being filled by people that do NOT reside in the states the pipeline is running through is a good thing? We had a thing like that in my home state for a while. All kinds of construction with the old "bringing in jobs" bull. The whole problem was, all the construction was being done by out of state companies and employees. In this instance, I'm willing to bet the employees will be from "out of country", too.
And why is it that no one can say what, exactly, will be the benefits of this pipeline besides jobs? Because there are none?
Just another hoax out of Washington. The oil spill that happened on the Kalamazoo is still laying there. The company said that they were stopping the clean up and no one is pushing the issue. I don't know what has happened to the people of Michigan. No one is willing to fight for anything. There spirit is broken.
Thanks Rachel for the work that you are doing on the mess in Lansing. Snyder has become the new KING of Michigan. The newspapers don't cover what's going on because they are both Republican owned and operated. We care, but the corruption and violation of our Constition is flagrant. Eric Holder should be filing some serious charges.
Holy crap, I had to scroll a long ways to get to the link thread. BURIED under Steve Benen. I must really love you guys, to work this hard to share a link.
Moment of Geek, read all about it. Early Apple II stuff. Whoo hooo!
