No, McDonnell is not softening his stance on abortion. He's moderating his tone, same as when he ran for VA governor and non-disavowed the positions taken in his grad thesis. Remember how he has been governing as a moderate in VA? No? Neither do I.
Exactly, MM. And, contrary to popular belief, that thesis was written when he was an adult in his mid thirties, not as a young college kid. He meant what he wrote and still does.
Jon Huntsman could assume a statesman like role if he would give up his political aspirations for now. A truth tour, where he defined the true GOP goals of 'starving the beast, (Wikipedia), would be of great benefit to the American people. Even though the right would claim it was sour grapes, honestly showing the mangled truths perpetuated by the right would be the most patriotic duty he could ever achieve.
Except for the fact that he was also selling a lot of the same snake oil. The time to disavow the Republican party was after the invasion of Iraq, Abu Grahib, the bank melt down or at least the marriage to the tea party movement. At this point, he's just a whiner.
Maybe he could run as an Independent for those who don't want to vote for RMoney!
House Minority Leader, Boehner, and the Republican House Agricultural Committee had hoped to burp-up budget money from Food Stamp cuts, but the Democratic Senate stopped them.
Grocery store owners and the food industry know that tax money towards State, Federal and Military assistance-connected Food Stamps is not hurting the economy, or their businesses. It appears grocery store owners and food industry workers need to watch out for their jobs and businesses, as well as, for the hungry in their communities, where the Republican House Agricultural Committee’s recently proposed bill cutting Food Stamps is concerned.
The poor, the working and non-working, those collecting assistance or half-collecting assistance, generate billions of dollars in our over 10 trillion cost-of-products-and-services bought and sold across America as consumers, and part of that includes, giving tax money back to the economy through Food Stamps.
How could the GOP had hoped to burp-up budget money after giving that tax money to some other group, or some other businesses or government agenda while collecting the ‘same’ amount of taxes from taxpayers, anyway?
If this political overreach amounts to the GOP’s exploiting the accusation that only a Democratic agenda will support any kind of assistance this campaign period, perhaps, people’s fears that the GOP is after destroying Social Security through the Ryan plan, are legitimate.
Mittens will drift closer to the center as the campaign moves along and the collective Republican party members will have to hold their noses to vote for him but that they will because he is WHITE and that seems to be the 800 pound gorilla in the room.
Governor Vaginal Probe wants to be Governor Etch A Sketch's running mate so he'll try to sound rational, emphasis on try, but not succeed.
As for Huntsman? He's as bad as the rest. He embraced the Ryan budget 1 saying he'd sign it into law. Now he's throwing a hissy fit, but had he managed to get nominated he'd have endorsed the same regressive path as the rest of the GOP.
Mittens can't move to center. He has no place to go. He made his right wing nut bed and he is going to be forced to embrace it. His appeal? He is the GOP's Great White Dope. That is all they care about.
And leave it to Newt Gingrich to travel on Moby Dick Airways. Doesn't he remember Ahab's obsession with the Great White Whale took down the ship? Gingrich is Ahab and the Whale rolled into one.
The bankers and wall streeters nearly destroyed our country and yet we don't hear about charges against them, or court dates. Leave Edwards alone and stop wasting more money for would likely be an acquittal.
