Rachel on The Wendy Williams Show, Wednesday April 25, 2012.
Rachel spent her morning with Wendy Williams, host of The Wendy Williams Show. As former radio hosts and work neighbors, the two had a lot to discuss - from why Rachel decided to write her book Drift, to their shared love of the television show Ice Loves Coco. Rachel's explanation:
"I feel like they are modeling good relationship behavior, in a way that doesn't make anybody else feel bad. They have a long, stable, loving relationship that's built on affection and mutual respect ... I just feel like there's all this claptrap, especially in politics, about family values and family values in politics is always about how somebody else is a bad person. This is real family values. They're talking about how to have a good marriage. I love it."

I love Ice T and Coco, too. I have watched only snippets of that show. Cute! I know, he had a song in the 80's that was objectionable, but he is not the same person he was in the 80s. I am not the same person, but I can see why there would be some rebellion, given the disparity and how some cops have killed innocents.
Family Values is something that was promoted, so there are some LGBT folks that wish to become families, became families and face animosity for not being the right type of family, even though they settle down, become committed to each other and children.
This is ridiculous when we cannot even get the proper therapy for all the military vets that need it. War is the one of the worst things that we could do with the injuries, loss of life and destruction. In addition, the outright damage it does to the mental health of a person that is in a war, regardless if the person is in the military or not. Too many times it has been these politicians who want to get us into a war without any thought or an outright agenda that is meaningless, except for some man to prove “Hey I am the man see how I can kill people, because I have power”. The world would be better off if it beat those swords into plowshares than to continue down such destructive things.
I thought Rachel said she doesn't watch television. Is there a scandal here?
The thing about Rachel-not-watching-the-tv-machine is old news. I read that later she did buy one online, while drunk, and typed in a wrong address.
the thing about Rachel that's so aggravating, is that she is so obsessed with proving that
she is just as important as men that it negates her credibility; and her one sided biased views are so narrow it's just obvious she doesn't see the big picture, I'm not sure how she thinks she's helping America except to make sure everyone's happy; "let's open our arms to the world and just let everyone come on in..we'll have a welcome cake ready for them" she's so obsessed with her women are equal and equal rights for everyone agenda that she can't realize that sometimes you need to just assume your role in life... How could she care about the future of America when she will never have children of her own; while most of us can see where America's headed these people that are so obsessed with being different can't see what's really at stake; this is selfish and ignorant, but I don't think too many people take her that serious as her words pretty much put her in her own place, people can sense intuitively what's really going on and this is a woman obsessed with proving she's just as good or better than a man when no one ever said she wasn't in the first place. Her own agenda is skewing the reality of the real issues at stake..
Oh, wendy, nice comment right at the end of that clip, I see what you did there...
