Murdoch has built his media empire on lies, hacks, immoral behavior and a dedicated political agenda meant to influence policy on both sides of the Atlantic. Whatever happens to Murdoch himself, something must be done to change his media outlets like Fox, which is currently nothing but political propaganda on American television. Democracy is threatened when one political party has a powerful and totally unregulated media voice to literally brainwash people
What nobody seems to realize is that every television, iPhone, remote and/or other device actually comes with an OFF switch. Turn OFF FOX! It will be off the air/cable in a matter of weeks, folks. Just turn it OFF.
I also vote for the OFF switch.
Americans pay News Crops good money to brainwash us. Why do we let them?
The Koch Brothers couldn't affect elections if they were poor, we pay them good money, and they use our money to work against the very consumers who buy their products. Why do we buy their stuff?
AND We the People vote officials into cushie government jobs with all sorts of perks and benefits, perks and bennies we don't get, who then work against us for their own benefit, and the benefit of the rich. Voting records are on display, we know who is working for whom. Why would anyone vote for Mitt Romney? Yet, someone will.
There are millions of us voters against a relatively small number of corrupt or greedy people. There are millions of us consumers who continue to buy the products of the very people who are corrupting our political landscape and we keep buying their stuff.
We the People have the power to stop the money flow. Why are we not using that power NOW?
No more complaining, vote with your money, stop using anything that promotes greed, selfish special interests, corruption. Yes, sacrifice hurts, but it's just STUFF. We can shift the corruption of this nation by shutting off the money flow. It's all about the money.

Signorile needs to expand on his theory further. Just because a man is gay he isn't exempt from cashing in on gender privilege any more than white members of the LGBT community are somehow freed of racism because of sexual orientation.
While we share a common goal of achieving civil rights, as a community, we reflect the mores of the nation...we are just as divided by class, race and gender as the rest of America.
Now I could go into all my personal experiences, and that of my friends as anecdotal proof, but I'm too old and I'm limited by a word count here. And before my brothers and sisters, (particularly the left leaning ones) say, "not me", and "some of best friends are...."
Take a look at your intimate community. The people who know you the best, friends that make up your comfort zone. Don't most of them look like, come from the same place, and go to the bathroom just like you?
Rachel Maddow, is intelligent, confident and totally unconcerned with others view of her. And many men find this disquieting...regardless of their orientation.
So when they lash out at her about looking like a "dude" what they really are saying is "women aren't supposed to act like that, those qualities have been assigned to men and she has stepped out of her place".

Watched you on MTP Sunday and last night as you discussed the income gap between men and women. The CNN news story you used to bolster your argument did not identify an income gap of 23%; you truncated the story in an attempt to make it fit your position. Such distortion undermines your position and your credibility.
I think we all have that special someone in our life that gives us that healing synergistic effect!! :)

United Methodist will vote later today or tomorrow on whether to divest. You can live stream the vote at their site
“The General Board of Church and Society is asking delegates to instruct all general agencies to divest immediately from “Caterpillar, Motorola and Hewlett-Packard until they end their involvement in the Israeli occupation” of the Palestinian territories. Those companies were named because general agencies, boards and annual conferences have repeatedly asked them to cease their involvement, according to the petition.
The petition also urges divestment within two years from other companies that have been identified as being involved in the occupation if those companies do not cease their involvement.
At least five annual conferences submitted similar petitions.
Delegates in 2008 rejected a petition calling on the General Board of Pension and Health Benefits and the General Council on Finance and Administration to identify companies profiting “from sales of products or services that cause harm to Palestinians and Israelis” and to begin phased selective divestment from them.”
