It's a big day at the polls with the Amendment One vote in North Carolina, the Republican Senate primary in Indiana, the Democratic primary to pick who will run against WI Gov. Scott Walker, and a bunch of not-very-dramatic races in West Virginia.
Santorum (finally) endorses Romney.
For liberal donors who oppose Citizens United, a way to spend their money.
The Senate heads to a showdown vote (is there any other kind anymore?) today on student loans.
The U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan is stepping down.
Imagine getting to say "Dustin Hoffman saved my life."

Getting ready to head to the polls here Tricia....I'm one of those Nasty Democrats that signed the petition to recall Walker here in WI. Gonna be an exciting day....lots of great Dems running for the primary....
Thought it was funny that Walker said he wouldn't have to be raising all this money if it weren't for all the money opposing him from outside the state... this from the guy elected with big Koch support... I think outside money in any race corrupts, whether it's from big shadowy donors or just regular folks.
Oh yeah... Santorum endorses Romney. What a surprise. The Democrats could learn an thing or two from Republican solidarity.
Democrats usually think and act as individuals. It can be messy but, on the other hand, it doesn't compromise our integrity.
The "What could go wrong" piece made me think of the great Tex Avery:

When on of these marvels is involved in an accident (and they will be), has anyone given much thought to how liability will be assigned? I'm certain the manufacturer and their bevy of lawyers have.
Amazing that the MSM continues to transcribe for Romney without factually debunking his lies.Stunning that someone running for president wilfully lies all the time and gets away with it. We know Mittens have no core, but the media, where is your decency?
That has been my question for a while Dicer. The lies fly out of Romney's mouth every time he opens it and none of the media ever calls him on any of it.
About 25 corporations control the media in the U.S..
There's that many?
Here's one the MSM has apparently missed...guess what everyone? We have a budget SURPLUS! http://www.marketwatch.com/story/us-to-run-first-surplus-since-2008-cbo-2012-05-07?reflink=MW_news_stmp
Oh come on. The "surplus" was $58 billion for the month of April. From the same article:
For the first seven months of the fiscal year, the CBO estimates that the Treasury will notch a deficit of $721 billion.
That's almost 3/4 of a Trillion in seven months which comes out to 1.2 Trillion for the fiscal if that pace stays the same.
I hope you were being sarcastic :).
I have to say that Santorum did the least he could possibly do with his endorsement and I don't blame him. He doesn't agree with Romney and clearly doesn't like him. His endorsement is primarily so he can keep his "I'm a Republican" badge and it must REALLY be hard to HAVE to endorse somebody you absolutely can't stand. I'm glad I'm an Obama person and don't have to fool with all that.
Ms maddow. your shows one this burnanky bs, is find. my problem, is that we the former mid-class are dying while the the rep-comunist party are killing us, with no help in sight, by the time the elections come we will be gone. MORE direct pressure is needed NOW! before it is to late
