Michele Bachmann is now a Swiss citizen.
It's now legal to carry a Taser in Michigan.
There's much more garbage in the "Great Pacific Garbage Patch" now.
It's not just human kids who like iPads.

If you don't like the laws in NC then don't live there, you 49 other states to pick from.
I can toss that back to you and if you're so unhappy with America and it's acceptance of LGBT Rights that they deserve as they are, believe it or not, human beings.. You can always move to Vatican City. :)
See how stupid such a statement is?
Because everyone has the resources to just pick up and move out of state, right? And everyone is guaranteed employment waiting for them in their new state of residence?
If you don't like the idea of civil rights for everyone, then move to Iran or some such place.
Look, before you all toss me under the bus, know this, I could care less if gay people want to get married.
I am just saying, if you are gay and live in NC and want to get married, looks like you will have to move out of the state.
And what on earth does all this have to do with the bad policy's out off the white house that have stalled the economy for the past 3 1/2 years.
Leave it to the liberals to distract people from the real issues at hand. JOBS!!!!
I'm tired of all the "JOBS AS REAL ISSUES" talk. The question is what does ECONOMY has to do with all the other social oppression the Republican has been forcing upon the rest of us in this country?
There are economy issue and social issues, and we can talk about both. You want us to keep talking about the economy and forget about all the other things that you are doing? That is like saying: "Don't get distracted, look at the mole on your left hand" while you are amputating our right hand.
Usual Republican Talking Points = Failconomics.
If you can tell me how your party's actions against LGBT and Women's Reproductive Rights, and Stalling on Student Loans HELP and CREATES Jobs.. I'd be happy to listen. But as I'm told mostly to just go look it up myself to see facts and from the various other sources I read around the Interwebs (Some including Republican and Religious Blogs).. I have to conclude that Jobs is the furthest thing from this current Party's mindset.
It's very simple.
LGBT = Abominations and therefor Satanic and deserve no rights (same with those of color on the Mormon side of things). AIDS is god's way of punishing the Homosexuals. I'm just waiting for the more extreme rape-correction programs. I also enjoyed one of the gasbags stasting Homosexuals have around 500-1,000 sexual partners in their life time. By those statistics alone all of us should of had 1-3 encounters..
Women's Rights = Most women are godless killing machines of Fetuses as millions of us have abortions and are too stupid to make our own choices. Darn us caterpillar brain-dead women!
Student Loans = How dare students from 50k and under families apply for loans to get through college. AND THEN HAVE THE AUDACITY TO HAVE DEBT!!! .... I'd say you should see the average price of Medical School but then the more extreme side thinks Doctors are evil anyway..
I'd love to talk about Jobs, unfortunately the Right covers their ears and cries until they get their way on other nonsense bills.
I agree sort of and the reactions to your statement are typical here. The point of the entire exercise proves that the "left" and it's "noble approach" are not working against the bible hoard nor will they in future endeavors.. Now more than ever we are not dealing with conservative citizenry, in fact we are dealing with sociological terrorists. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! There is always Alabama disenfranchised North Carolinians.
I think you mean you couldn't care less. Pedantry aside, you seem to be missing my point. Not everyone has the means/resources to pick up and move on a whim, even when the reason is important to them.
Besides, there aren't 49 other states to pick from-- there are only a handful of states that have legalized same-sex marriage, even if one could relocate easily.
Not to mention if everyone just picks up and moves, there will be no one left to fight for what's right-- and thus the tyranny of the majority will continue on. In the end, civil rights should not be voted on. Marriage IS a civil right that should be available to any two consenting adults, period, regardless of their own gender and that of their intended partner. As for what this has to do with these so-called "bad policy's" [sic]? Frankly, I think civil rights ARE important. Yes, so are jobs; and there are times when they do overlap, amazingly enough.
Perhaps you should take this problem up with your Republican pals who have seen fit to focus so adamantly on denying and/or taking away rights and policing what women do with their own bodies-- they're the ones who, despite running on the JOBS JOBS JOBS platform, seem to have turned their back on the whole JOBS JOBS JOBS thing.
I believe that the issue of who can marry should be a decision left to the states either legislature or public vote. That said since when is marriage a right? Saying that it is does not make it so. I believe as a technical matter of law marriage is a privilege not a right.
In any event, the use of the term "right" is interesting. And so often is code for I want something- but I can not have it- so my "rights" are violated.
Under the Constitution the term right does show in some places e.g. right to assemble, right to bear arms, right to a speedy trial, right against unreasonable search and seizure etc. These are the enumerated rights. And certainly the 9th amendment does reserve "other" rights retained by the people. But to suggest or imply that the 9th amendment provides a basis for a "right" for same sex marriage is a difficult concept.
Ahhh yes, marriage, and the sanctity and rules of, according to that bible, rewritten many times, is Only between a Man {and his mistresses} and a Women {and her boy toys, whatever} in the Bible Belt of the new fangled christian religious, jeeeesus says so, south and especially now in NC!
One example: "Dating site says "sugar daddies" are booming in Charlotte."
or how about another: "Charlotte ranks among nation's "smuttiest" cities" {that smut ain't dirty air it's porn}.
Ashamed of my state, but glad I live in its heart, where we overwhelmingly voted NO on Amendment One. Check out that correlation between tolerance and world class Indoctrination Mills!
When an inmate from another state is allowed to run on any ticket, it shows how broken the American election system really is. We needed major election reform as early as 2000 and still don't have a shred of it. In fact, we're going backwards! The Fed needs to level the playing field with all of the states and issue a Federal voter ID card, (such as including a photo on a new style of Social Security card that is updated every 10 years,) and that card must be accepted in a voter's home precinct as proper identification.
Yes, the system is broken but, just how would a photo ID would have prevented the inmate from getting on the BALLOT in the first place? Who is to pick up the cost of the photo ID? These days the fraud isn't in those who vote, it is with those who control and misuse the process.
Michelle Bachmann now a Swiss Citizen? Hilarious, Miss anti-national health care moves to a country with it. Oh, her children wanted it? Mmhmm. She probably thinks that she has some chance at winning something in Switzerland.. HAH. Does she know that country ranks well in higher-education? Good luck with pandering those silly lies. Wasn't she still running for Pres. at the time of her applying for it anyway? Riiiiight..
That Garbage Patch is a glaring point that we need to stop sitting around and hope Jesus comes down with Mr.Clean and Scrubbing Bubbles to clean up our messes. Heck could higher a bunch of people, skim up a good chunk of that garbage, recycle it.. and at least get -some- of it out and CREATE JOBS in the process. WOW how simple! ... Oh wait, there is no problem with pollution or global warming.. my bad.
The issue of the majority voting on minority rights will hopefully now become a topic for national debate --
What a long, strange trip it's been.........
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CBS_Reports:_The_Homosexuals
""The Homosexuals" is a 1967 episode of the documentary television series CBS Reports. The hour-long broadcast featured a discussion of a number of topics related to homosexuality and homosexuals. Mike Wallace anchored the episode, which aired on March 7, 1967. Although this was the first network documentary dealing with the topic of homosexuality, it was not the first televised in the United States. That was The Rejected, produced and aired in 1961 on KQED, a public television station out of San Francisco.[1]
Three years in the making, "The Homosexuals" went through two producers and multiple revisions. The episode included interviews with several gay men, psychiatrists, legal experts and cultural critics, interspersed with footage of a gay bar and a police sex sting. "The Homosexuals" garnered mixed critical response. The network received praise from some quarters and criticism from others for even airing the program."

Amazing links, George Kaplan. Thank you for sharing them.
Well, Michelle can stay in Switzerland in my opinion. I did read that she is now a citizen, but I don't imagine that will last long when the Swiss find out how crazy she is.
In this new states' rights era which state will be the first to legalize using slaves to destroy the environment in the name of profits? Any bets?
Now is the time to invest in for profit prison systems. It will soon be illegal to disagree with whatever misinterpretation of the Bible is the fashion of the day.
Why should they have to? If you didn't like the laws of the state you live in, is it just that easy for you to pick up your whole life and move it thousands of miles?
Don't worry! Congress (consisting of either persuasion) is working on the plastic nightmare in both oceans!! Now count backwards to infinity! @!$%# you Dow chemical and the plastics industry and stupid American consumers. Ignore this at your own peril, just like everything else that actually matters in favor of mob ruling "very important moral issues"!
Congratulations New Hampshire on your new Fetal Homicide bill. In your attempt to circumvent Roe v Wade by making the death of a "fetus" murder, riddle me this. If a pregnant psycho on meth attempts to rob me at gunpoint and I kill her in self-defense, under this new law I am now guilty of murder unless I can figure out she was pregnant and manage to save the fetus? But doctors who perform an abortion on this same woman are given a waiver on this same law?
I am appalled by how MEAN people are. Equality is critical and not just deserved but is essential to restoration of the human soul. No one is harming anyone by receiving equal rights, but the so-called religious right who are spewing their hatred and waving their banners of contempt deeply hurt and de-value the existence of a segment of our population. Respect goes a long way, and it is certainly not shown by holding up a bible in one hand and a gun in another. It's time for people to STOP judging one another by their own beliefs and realize how much further we could go if we developed tolerance and embrace our differences.
