Rachel: We are in a moment when the politics of gay rights are rapidly, rapidly changing.
Jane: I know fast, yeah, really fast. You know it is an issue that I have not really taken personally so much. I mean, it's something that I watch on television with great interest. I have a stake in it. I've got skin in the game, as 'twere. But when the President came out and said that he supported the dignity of our families and our relationships, that really moved me. That really touched me for the first time and I realized that I'd been kind of distanced emotionally from it, but that really kind of broke it open for me.

Inquiring minds want to know !!!!!!
Oh good, can't wait to hear what she's got to say. I'm not usually star struck, but I am looking forward to the full Jane and Rachel exchange.
I would be interested to watch a show with Republican Andrew Sullivan, as he says he was also warm and fuzzy after Obama did not leave him wanting with what he said about supporting same sex marriage.

We can't change what the Supreme Court decided but we can do this!!!!!
Brilliant touch, to have Jane Lynch simply replace Rachel for the Best New Thing segment. Inspired!
Rachel, excellent show, as always! But what is it with these Christian coalitions interfering in politics nowadays? While I am a believer, I do not feel that my religious beliefs should impact anyone else. Rev. Lowery said it quite succintly today that a person should not have a right to do something and then deny someone else that same right. Same goes for same-sex marriage. It's a denial of one's civil rights to not allow same-sex couples to marry.
Now we have a congressman from Arizona wanting to determine what happens to women's bodies in the District of Columbia! I would think that Rep. Trent Franks would be too busy legislating for his constituents. Apparently not!!!
Women we have to take this country back in November! Our rights are being systematically stripped away from us a bit at a time.
Rachel, keep informing us, so that we can inform others!!!
Fantastic show! Love Jane Lynch!!!
