While watching tonight's preview, take a listen to tonight's soundtrack.
Executive producer Bill Wolff shares a preview of tonight's show:

We will be expecting hard questions with specific follow-ups for Mayor Booker, who as Chris Matthews, Howard Fineman, and Eugene Robinson have stated this afternoon has handed the Romney campaign their campaign against President Obama. Gee, a surrogate for the President..."my surrogate notes are right here"...such hubris. Someone is a little too impressed with himself. The rest of us no longer are.
What pile of CaCa. We are not against Bain. Bain Capital is not running for president. Romney is the one. No one who is old enough during the time he was at Bain capital has forgotten the havoc Romney created.
If he is going to practice the same kind of capitalism he practice then in a higher scale then we will really have a bigger problem. If Romney is trying to trick those who are not old enough to remember then his record, ALL OF IT, should be brought to the fore and analyze and publish to all. Booker may not be old enough.
We are not against Bain. Bain is just like any other corporation, psychopathic in nature in that it lack pathos, guilt and their only objective is to make money not caring who it hurts in the process.
What everyone else has said here. Phh Uuuuuuu Cory.
Man, I hope you are on your game, Rachel.
Mr. Romney: You may PROFIT from the following quotes.
“You must consider the bottom line, but make it integrity before profits.” Denis Waitley
“In the end, all business operations can be reduced to three words: people, product and profits. Unless you've got a good team, you can't do much with the other two.” Lee Iacocca
“Nothing profits more than self-esteem, grounded on what is just and right.” John Milton
“Moderate profits fill the purse.” Italian Proverb
“An economy hampered by restrictive tax rates will never produce enough revenue to balance our budget, just as it will never produce enough jobs or enough profits” John Fitzgerald Kennedy
“The measure of the restoration lies in the extent to which we apply social values more noble than mere monetary profits” Franklin D. Roosevelt
Cory Booker?!
Please don't let him squirm away from the damage he has done.
Which side is this fellow on? Average folks or the one percent?
Looks to me like he's in the wrong party.
Couple more things -
Why would any Democrat vote for him again?
Why wouldn't it be better for Democrats to campaign AGAINST Booker in whatever election he might choose to run?
So TRMS is having the rising star of the republican party on tonight.A dino that likes to fire people. Why not have Harold Ford on with him? These two have no business calling themselves democrat's. They both should get permanent job's on Scarboroughs morning show, they fit in perfectly with that A-hole and his lap dog Meek-a.Of course I think Ford works for Morgan Stanley now and Booker is bought and paid for by Wall St money. These two are more interested in themselves than they are the welfare of the country.I'm pissed at these two idiot's.
I would suggest that all unions, pension funds, and other left leaning orgs divest from any investment ever touched by Bain Capital. Or, any venture capital firm. Let's see how fast they act. Investment firms invest in all kinds of promising cos. The last thing investors want to see is for cos they invest in go bust. Please, learn about and understand the industries you despise.
I hope you put him in the hotseat. I was at his fb page and he is being lit into! Don't let him squrim out of your questions, neuseating though he is! I used to have respect for him, not so much now!
Sorry, Rachel, I've heard enough from Cory Booker. If he's a surrogate for the Obama campaign (as he claimed clearly on MTP), I'm the Queen of England. I'll be busy washing my hair for my Jubilee celebration while Mayor Booker appears on your show.
Cory, I love ya man, but we need to stop trying to make Romney look like the brilliant business man. No, we are not anti business, but leveraged buyouts are not what we need right now in our president.
If you like mergers, big huge mega-corps, less competition, moving employees and customers around, it is just business, right? we'll uproot things and make people drive further to shop, so we can profit or save money. Those customers and employees are going to have to suck it up more. But now the competition is hard to fing. Leveraged buy outs or hostile takeovers is what they did, creating mergers and profit for themselves.
Does it matter if there were a few net jobs added? They just shake up the box and find profit, but short term and shake up lives. Give rich people more dividends. So, how did he do as Gov.? Adding jobs? Not so much.

Chris Christie and Cory Booker have made a "funny" and joint video about 6 days ago and when I saw that...I just knew that something was afoot. It seems that someone got t9o Booker and have paid his off to do harm to Obama while gifting him all kinds of goodies be it politically, financially or as a future course of action. It is nauseating that this man (who was one of the originally jealous African Americans that made comments about Obama early on) seemed to wish him evil early on.
More food for thought on Booker from the Daily Kos:

Dear Rachel: Love you and the show. I know you are friends with Corey Booker but please, don't let him off the hook. Has he received any Bain or other investment firm contributions? Why did he throw President Obama under the bus?
I was becoming a fan of his, but now, I wouldn't vote for him for anything.
I have no problem with Mr. Booker's "slip up" (it's being missinterpreted, but in a way that he should have been able to forsee). But I think any politian that doesn't pull the occassional Biden probably isn't sincere about anything.
What I'm hoping he'll say tonight on the show is that the Jeremiah Wright nonsense is "10 times more nausiating than the Bain Capital stuff; which is also nausiating".
I hope he continues to act like a thinking person. I'm an Obama supporter - but that doesn't mean I'm in 100% agreement with him on everything.
"Mishap"! Misinterpreted"! Who's kidding whom. You don't go on "Met the Press" and "misspeak". You know what's on your mind. Then, after the kickup, say you have exploited. Keep grasping.
Tonight Rachel shows the world why we her fans tell anyone that will listen that she is the best in the business. She will get the story of Cory Booker's WTF moment she will not let let him off the hook with a evasive answer. We will find out just what happen
Her's was an interview allowing Booker to just spin. No tough questions like: "What did you mean?", or "Do you realize you undermined Obana's campaign theme?". Like being on a morning talk show.
My bet is Mayor Booger (oops, Booker) has the governorship in mind. The friendly with Christie suggests Booker might back Christie for VP now, or 2016. Booker runs for NJ governor. He can't back off what he said or he will look like the typical politician. He has lost a lot of support both in the democrats and blacks. We've wanted Obama to fight more but knew he couldn't. All the abuse Obama has gone through to have a black democrat do this is not hateful, but hurtful. After Santorum, Newt, and Perry beat up on Romney about Bain he is sick when seeing ads from the Obama camp which aren't as harsh. I'm from SC and my momma use to say "like crabs in a bucket" when I was very young. Not to me but in a conversation with a friend. I didn't get what a meant until I got older.
This is definitely a Very sad day for those struggling in Jew Jersey and there are millions. Mr. Booker knows well who his constituents are. Shame on him for betraying the people he represents. This is a constant theme of some Democrats, Harold Ford comes to mind as someone on the blog mentioned earlier.
Why is it that Government Officials like Mayor Booker run for office and get the votes of the people and then fail to represent them? They simply fall in with the rest of the politicians and fail to represent their constituents.
The Government is supposed to be of the people, by the people and for the people. The Government is "The People" fully funded by the American People and too often Americans forget that.
Mit "Puppet Romney" who's being strung by his background Puppeteers, has no thoughts, feelings, knowledge or smarts, he has to wait for his handlers to tell him what to say, how to say it, when to say it, he cannot respond to any questions without having to get back to the media.
Mr. Booker, Mit Romney bought up companies, and many people don't know that every company was also given Government Taxpayer Money, ie" Corporate Welfare" once in they let these companies go bankrupt and put many families out in the street.
Even worse they did not pay their Retirement, you and I are paying the Retirements for these employees and their retirement was cut as Mr. Romney likes to say Severly as a result.
Now since Mr. Booker think it's ok to throw American Families out in the street after "raiding their companies, then why is he Mayor of NJ.
Hopefully NJ learnes this is not the kind of politician they need for the next election.
Unless and until we get these type of politicians who are on Taxpayer Money, we are paying their checks, their families healthcare, his retirement, yet he's not loyal to the very people taking care of his family, it's time to change politicians.
This is hurtful to those who elected Booker, have stood by him, and he could not even stand up for those millions of Struggling families, jobless, homeless, can't put food on the table for their kids, because now he's caught up in the Wallstreet Money game. yet he fail to realize that the reason he can sleepe at night is that the Taxpayers are paying for him and his family's well being.
Last but not least when Mayor Booker made that video with Gov Christy making him look like a "Laughting Stock" the push over, many of us knew something was up.
Why was Booker participating in a Funny Video while Gov. Christy has cut 1 Billion Dollars from the NJ school system and cut significantly from the least of them and gave all the money he cut to the Richest people in NJ the Rich.
That told the citizens of NJ something was wrong with Mayor Booker.
How do you laugh and with the person causing the pain to the very people you represent.
Rachel, we know you will not baby this and don't let him weasle out of this.
Booker needs to call up Romney and get his advice on how to flip flop this issue in President Obama's favor. Romney owes Booker one. He should just deny ever saying it, I would believe him. We could all just deny Booker ever said that. As far as the Catholic Church they're hurting in a bad way. They need women to give them their babies so they get a percentage of the sale of the Babies. One way to destroy The Catholic Church would be to expose all of the Church's activities including all opinions and statements made by priests. Exposing the Priests will take down the Catholic Church. They are an angry bunch.
Toooooo little tooooooo late, Booker. It seems to me like you want to run as Mitt
Romney's VP.,...Proud of Obama???? Seriously???? And who believes a word out of your
mouth now..??????
Mr. Booker won't return to the negativity? "I am nauseated by "BOTH" sides" this is a positive comment? There is "NO" moral equivalence on Venture Capitalism and creating wealth vs. outsourcing American jobs, laying off workers to drain a company of its asset to make a profit. When a Middle Class American loses his job, they lose their homes, the marriage fall apart, children go hungry, the stress is unbelievable. I think it is the height of pandering to make every issue morally equal....Thank God the Catholic Church came to its senses on the Ryan Budget. The Bishops were becoming the Modern day Pharisee's. This Country is "for the PEOPLE by the PEOPLE" it was not created just for the well-being of the very rich.
Rachel: What the heck? He only talked about how upset he is regarding the Republicans using what he said.
He was not taken out of contact. seems like you would have shown the tape of what he said if it were anyone else. And then followed up with hard-hitting questions. Like what about any investment firms contributions?
President Obama is right, he has a "RESPONSIBILITY" to the American Middle Class as well as Corporate America and the 1%. We matter, we count and we need a Champion, a Champion that has our interest at heart...and that my fellow Americans is NOT Mitt "COUNTRY CLUB" Romney. As an Independent, I want to know the truth and the facts. I have learned a lot about "Venture Capital" in the past year, not from the Obama Campaign, but from the Santorum, Paul and Gingrich campaigns. If the Republican are going to use Booker in their ads, the Obama Campaign should immediately use Santorum, Gingrich, Perry and Paul in his ad...
Thank you Rachel for allowing Mayor Booker to speak his peace and clarify his statements. Ed and Chris have gone WAY off the deep end with this and have taken the spirit of Mayor Booker's statement and twisted and warped it as much as the Republicans have with their "I stand with Cory" slogan. You are by far the most fair and balanced pundit on any of the news networks.
Keep up the great work!
After watching the Booker interview it left me wondering, did he watch the replay of what he said exactly. His answers impressed me. NOT! I have only one word for the interview.Unbelievable!
great interview
Rachel, you were too kind! Does Booker realize that he slit his own throat yesterday, and can basically forget about getting any support from the Democratic Party for national office in 2016! Obviously, being in that web skit with Gov. Christie made him believe he was a rock star!
Reflecting
from the wisdom of Harriet Martineau, History of England during the Thirty Years Peace
(1849), ii, pp.262-: And what were those stirrings? What was it all about? The
difficulty of understanding and telling a story is from its comprehending so
vast a variety of things and persons. Those who have not looked into Chartism
think that it one thing — a revolution. Some, who talk as if they assumed to
understand it, explain that Chartism is of two kinds — Physical Force Chartism
and Moral Force Chartism — as if these were not merely an intimation of two
ways of pursuing an object not yet described! Those who look deeper — who go
out the moors by torchlight, who talk with a suffering sisters under the hedge,
or beside the loom, who listen to the feminist groups outside the Union
workhouse, or in the public house among the Durham coal-pits, will feel long
bewildered as to what Chartism is, and will conclude at last that it is another
name for popular discontent for people exploiting other people— a comprehensive
general term under which are included all protests against social suffering… discussing
what is true about what is beautiful or just, is to start with what would be roughly agreed to be
true by people of wisdom, and ordinary folk knowing how to enjoy the experience
of life, and to work from where we are to a higher way of being.
As a star your support for women seeking the solution for
the working class women in America is profound. Women need support in the
creation of sophisticated work environments that motivates women and other
Americans such as the quasi-employed, unemployed, and young Americans looking
for a quality organization to invest their careers. The solution to America’s
need for quality jobs for the working class women is found in the process of
developing a sophisticated system of democratic worker owned cooperatives.
Bring home the manufacturing jobs that left this country. Set up organizations
that attract the Americans looking for jobs with a future. Manifest long term
sustainable solutions to our need for working class equality and green jobs.
Gone is the “ever expanding” growing economy labor jobs generated by the mega
corporate growth period of the past. The 21st century requires a
sophisticated investment in labor owned and labor managed manufacturing plants.
Create jobs in organizations that distribute profits to the people doing the
work on the line….making management decisions; and maintaining stability in the
American work force. We need a “new cool”….jobs for women and men equally
participating in the ownership in their own manufacturing plants. Building a
stronger self-sustainable work force using worker owned manufacturing
cooperatives to start-up new plants; and facilitating returning plants from
overseas. Invest in our working class Americans. We need your power to facilitate
the development of the women of America. Help us invest our future resources
and leadership into cooperatively owned American manufacturing plants.
