Republican leaders in Congress are lining up to support Michigan Congressman Thaddeus McCotter's write-in campaign to keep his seat. McCotter turned in a couple thousand nominating signatures for the Republican primary, but only 244 of them were valid. Now Representatives John Boehner, Pete Sessions and Eric Cantor have said they'll lend their support to his write-in bid.
And then there are the Republicans back home in McCotter's district, where they sound just disgusted that their incumbent couldn't get himself on the ballot. From the Detroit News:
"That's an unforgivable screw-up," said Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson. "I don't even know how it happens. It really puts us in a difficult position."
The details of how it happened are ugly. One state elections official cited an "unprecedented level" of fraud, with McCotter's nominations petitions showing signs of having been manipulated to show far more signatures than the campaign had. McCotter has said he doesn't want to speculate on how things went so wrong; he's encouraging the state to investigate.
All of this leaves the door open for the one Republican who did manage to get his name on the primary ballot, Kerry Bentivolio, right, a Tea Party-backed candidate who couldn't win the nomination for state senate two years ago -- or for a Democrat. On the Democratic side, there's a primary between Dr. Syed Taj, former chief of medicine at a local hospital, and Bill Roberts, a Lyndon LaRouche supporter who wants to impeach President Obama. McCotter's district is 55 percent GOP. Republicans have held the district since it was last redrawn, in 1993. (More fun with this on the show tonight.)

Here is one thing that should be disliked, these supposed premonitions that happened so long ago that supposedly are suppose to happen in the future. These premonitions than are open to interpretations by other people than who get it wrong, when the person who had the premonition isn’t around anymore. Another point, is it an actual premonition or something made up that is not known. Also, the way Romney is, he could actually be thinking he is this person and the way he is that is a very dangerous thing. This man Romney has not set a good example of how a person should be and you cannot ignore that bully attitude in him which makes him a very dangerous man that could really cause a lot of harm in the world. And to think that Romney would cause a war with Russia, because he thought he was this person than for sure Romney would be a monster. Take some good advice from someone who does know about premonitions and does know how premonitions are, buyer beware big time.
So there is all this voter fraud connected to this Republican Candidate McCotter, but are the Republicans crying about voter ID and the fraud there ?
NO. And why ?
Because the fraud was engaged in by white people and Republicans themselves.
Do these Draconians really not know that we are all watching and listening and researching their lies and sinister behavior in the News on TV and radio, on the internet and on Goggle ?

Dems need to take advantage of this by nominating a serious, well qualified candidate. McCotter isn't going to be elected. A write-in campaign requires a lot of awareness on the part of voters. There are too many of the same types of easily swayed, low information voters that Republicans count on in each election for a write-in to work.
Why does McCotter think the state should investigate the problems with the invalid signatures? It was his own campaign's screw-up (being generous here - it was really more likely intentional and they thought they would get away with it). Regardless, McCotter should figure it out himself instead of putting the effort and cost on MI and its taxpayers.

Michigan is getting worse with every day that passes. My real fear is that the rest of the country will see what's going on, see that they're getting away with it, and follow suit. I've lived in Michigan almost my entire life and have never been literally afraid of what the governor was doing. Please give your support to the groups who are trying to recall snyder and repeal his fascist laws.
