Chaos at the Louisiana Republican convention makes the local paper's police blotter. Here's the Ron Paul camp's side of the story.
VA Gov. Bob McDonnell praises stimulus spending.
Tomorrow's recall election in Wisconsin isn't just about Gov. Scott Walker.
Rep. Thaddeus McCotter won't campaign as a write-in candidate.
President Obama spends a night in his own bed.

Pure awesome!
VP (not Vice President)McDonnell is a used car salesman. He is trying to improve his image, but in his heart, he is still (VP) Bob.....Actually he wanted to sing "Celebration" with Friday's Jobs numbers, but trying to hide his glee.......He behaved this way when he ran for Governor....
I'm hoping Louisiana police breaking fingers to stop the seating of a Ron Paul delegation deserves a little more scrutiny than the few quick jabs you normally throw at Dr. Paul hidden by irony under a couple layers of seriousness.
... Too late for TRMS to book the Trololo Man?
Wisconsin voters need to remember 'Walkergate', the ongoing investigation into campaign funding violations. If 13 people have already been granted immunity, it would follow that there are many more involved with some big names to follow. Even if Walker wins, there is a chance he will be out of office following this investigation. Do you really want a governor with a huge cloud hanging over his head?
Looks like McCotter is going to have plenty of free time to record his freedom inspired spoken word rock poetry album.
Appears to be a civil war ensuing in Wis and perhaps nationally...a state built on democratic values. Our school systems were always well funded and held in high regard nationally...we've bargained in good faith for equality in the middle class...we can hunt and fish on well manged, pristine, clean land.
Now we face a new set of ideals, not of our own, but of outside influence. Walkers tea-party backed agenda has divided this state with an aggressive, ugly undertone not becoming of our values. Blue dems are under attach from the confederate states. Conceal carry has no place here! We are better then that! These are scarey times unfortunately....
Gee, Tricia the link to the Ron Paul statement led me to the Ron Paul Store and once there I bought a hat and a T-Shirt (The Sapphire Blue "Constitution" shirt; I hope it is as pretty in person as in the picture ). I have no real idea why I did buy stuff, but there is in my Deep Blue Soul -- mayhaps an illness of some sort -- that makes me somehow fond of Dr. Paul. :)
What would our country be like if republicans were given everything they want? Few could vote, no abortions, no contraceptives, death penalty for all, no social security or medicare, no tax to pay our debt or fund government, no assistance for our poor.....wonder how that would work?
It's only June - the jobs report was for May. Do we HAVE to sound the death knell already? I refuse to believe that Mitt Romney could displace Barack Obama. It's just WRONG!
Hang in there JanH like you said it's only June. I wouldn't be surprised if the Fed took some action soon. We have the debates to look forward to, I can see President Obama cleaning Romney's clock. It's not over till it's over, time to mobilize. The comments on the Governor ultrasound article at the WaPo are taking off and very intertaining.
One simple question will determine HOW things are going to go for progressive democrats in the coming fall election:
IS OBAMA COMING TO WISCONSIN?
IS OBAMA COMING TO WISCONSIN?
IS OBAMA COMING TO WISCONSIN?
Time is short. Is he going to stand WITH us?
Trololo Man, if we needed a fine campaign speech agreeable to all sides you'd be the man to deliver it.
