Today in Times Square the U.S. Army celebrated its 237th birthday with music and ceremony, the swearing in of some new recruits and the cutting of a giant tank-shaped, TV-chef-made cake. As you know by now, Times Square is the photographic stomping ground of our own Andy Dallos, so naturally he was there for some pictures to share with us.
After the jump, a few more photos and also, did you see the video of the cupcake tank at the Pentagon celebration? It actually fired cupcakes!

No, because that needs to be its own event... and the Pentagon needs to get off its high horse and stop saying not to do it.
Keep this stock footage, before the RNC press machine suggests that they were firing broccoli from the cannon...
