I don't hear anyone, anywhere, right or left, Fox or MSNBC, you or me, defending Fast & Furious (and the previous similar attempts) as anything but a total failure and mistake.
You are, surprisingly, taking a narrow, biased view of what is a big problem and one we need to think seriously about. I look forward to reading Chris Hayes book and will especially looking for ways to get things back on track.
I agree. I was afraid Huntsman might get the nomination early on because he was (is) so reasonable. But if I had really thought about it, the republicans would never want him because he is normal and in touch with most Americans. I hope he will work for Obama again.
I am also hopeful that this Admin will be able to get things done and AM NOT surprised that the republicans are still up to their same old tricks. They have not learned that they DO have a mandate, and that mandate is: Get the hell out of the way. DO NOT LEAD, maybe follow, but DO get out of the way.
What will it take for them to understand their irrelevance--as I've said, they DO have a MANDATE, and that is to do what the American people have asked them to do. As you (Rachael) have said, "...and we said NO"
