Tonight's guests include:
Sen. Ron Wyden, (D) Oregon, member of the Senate Health Care Subcommittee
Steve Kornacki, senior writer for Salon, MSNBC contributor and co-host of the upcoming show “The Cycle”, weekdays at 3pm ET on MSNBC starting Monday, June 25
Bruce Bartlett, economist and former official in the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush presidential administrations, and author of “The Benefit and the Burden: Tax Reform Why We Need It and What It Will Take"
And here's executive producer Bill Wolff with a look at tonight's show:

Oh well ... I'll just watch "Whale Wars" I do not care to hear more about "The Cycle" as it will feature the Beckerwood, SE Cupp.
So, contrarian views are not acceptable to progressives?
They are, but we require a three-figure I.Q. first...
S.E. Cupp is probably just a Tucker Carlson in drag routine, but I shake my head that MSNBC will share her with that Nazi Tourette's guy (a honk of my horn to Lewis Black for that one).
And another honk to the OP; I'll try to catch up with you on the old cabstand. You realize you've got me off the "no Animal Planet" wagon with that Whale Wars promo... Honest, I swore off after they started running "Attack of the Killer Garter Snakes" programs...
Alternative views accepted -alternative realities are not.
With all the stuff on Syria, I'd like to see a little more on equivalent situations -- even if not on the same depth. e.g. Sudan has been dragging on for nearly two decades and nothing near the coverage:

$664,000 mysteriously disappeared (they're saying...) from the 2012 consensus budget passed by the NC legislature. Both Senate and House versions had included the appropriation, which would make the state eligible for $4.1 million in federal funds for elections. Rachel reported when Gov. Bev Perdue (who isn't running for reelection) vetoed the voter ID bill the legislature passed. I hope she will report on this Republican attempt to sabotage the November election.
Elections money disappears from state budget

The elderly woman being harassed on the bus is no real surprise. Since for too long, girls and women have been pushed down to be made to look like 2nd class citizens. This has been a long time result of very narrow-minded men that think they know what is best for everyone, especially women. These men like to dictate their policies and really all it is about is power and control over people. But the end result is people being put into misery, despair and death than left wondering how all this bad fortune has occurred to them. This has been a huge problem for too long in religious and political circles that needs to stop. If anything, major reforms must be done just to begin to fix the problem.
First, pour some cognac into a sniffer, take a deep breath, and calm down. Secondly, these were bone-headed boys, not men. Thirdly, I don't approve their behavior, and they should be punished. Finally, don't project what may be your own personal experience into all that happens.
That's a little bossy (authoritarian) of you Tom. 4 orders to Deb and 3 opinions or comments about the event.
I am not saying all men do this, but you seem to be (very subtly) implying "boys will be boys", when Deb said this is a result of authoritarian men.
I give you credit for saying they should be punished, Tom. Perhaps corrected and given role models other than who is being the meanest a-hole is cool. Yes, coping mechanisms, but perpetuate the a-holey-ness.
I was not aware it was all boys doing this, but I agree the pack mentality should be hindered. I would say to them, it makes you look weak when you allow yourselves to do something in a pack (peer pressure), you wouldn't normally do if alone. Yes, the team, the team, good for the team, but that is for the game with rules, not to pick on someone.
I commend the "rise above" and similar programs to teach young folks how to handle peer pressure.
I am calmly stating my observations, there is no need to assert authority over me. Some men do have a way of viewing dominance over someone as the tactic to go with as strength, and view someone having empathy or correlating similar experience as undesirable or weak.
Training for self defense is one thing, but train as if there may be a need to really defend yourself without your "posse" egging you on. This kind of thing looks very dishonorable, seek to honor yourself. Honoring yourself and others is not weakness, but strength.
I wrote this, not to just to Tom, per se. But I did notice some attempts to boss Deb.
After watching members of Congress questioning Jamie Dimon like a bunch of smitten school girls… and then listening to those sell-outs in the news media cover the banking crisis/scandal… I realized our government doesn’t have it’s heart in holding the rich guys accountable for their billion dollar crimes. Now, as laid out by the Constitution and Declaration of Independence it’s up to the PEOPLE to ACT! If the PEOPLE don’t fight and take their power back then FREEDOM and RIGHTS will be reduced to delicate concepts. Allow me to explain how this is happening.
Corporations are people too?
Republicans believe Corporations have a right to do as they please. Most card carrying conservatives are so ignorant they don’t even know their own ideological CREDO… The Neo-Conservative credo is “limited intervention in the economy and substantial intervention in morality”… which means let the rich guys do whatever they want while pointing fingers at the “little people”. I am somebody who demands accountability spoact.blogspot.com
I miss Rachel when she's not on but Ezra Klein really rocks the information that we all need to know about...in depth! Why doesn't he have his own show???!
Yuck, Ezra (Maddow Show) preempted by Sandusky- gross!
Rachel gave up her show to sit with that complete knuckleheaded jerk on Bill Maher's show? What a waste. Good thing Zuckermann was in between them or I think she may have slapped him.
Someone needed to tell him not to put words in her mouth and speak for themselves. I think he was his own kind of partisan and doesn't even know it.
Well, Rachel you are for Romney care… WTF?
Independent Libertarian is no better than Democratic or Republican partisan ideology, but he acted holier than thou. IMO. I wonder if he asked himself if he did put words in her mouth. If so, it was worth it.
Does Ezra Klein post a transcript of his show Friday night (6/22)? I was impressed by his analysis of the GOP's personal mandate response to the Clinton health care initiative and how they've done a 180 and now condemn what was essentially their idea! I didn't appreciate how many key Republicans supported this aspect of health care reform and why they'd now turn so vehemently against it...
THANKS for a great & very informative show!
There might be a way to request transcripts (fee?), but if a podcast will do you might hurry today to watch one or subscribe to podcasts (free). I am not a subscriber, but I found podcasts, but only the prior day was there (iTunes or here on the MSNBC site) at the bottom of this page, you can search/find info about podcasts (and maybe transcripts?)
TRMS transcripts are available here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32390088/
