@triumph68 sends this photo from Ramona, California, stomping grounds of San Diego County's newly elected birther judge, Gary Kreep. As Kreep tells the local press, it's maybe not surprising that he won. North County Times writes:
In an email he sent Friday evening to his supporters to announce the final ---- though unofficial ---- count, Kreep ended it with: "Rachel Maddow, The Daily Beast, The Daily Kos, and numerous other lefties are VERY unhappy that I won."
Actually, digging around in Kreep's very current birther activism might be kinda fun. Kreep, a leading birther attorney, expects to take the bench in January. Until then, he tells North County Times, "I'm still going to be involved in the funky cases I get involved in all the time."

And yet Conservatives always seem baffled and offended when they're characterised as dumb reactionary backwater hicks.
Though I am surprised to see this in California. Mostly because I'm kind of hardwired to think of California as a lovely liberal State.
Sadly, California is politically a mix of the coast-based very progressive groups, and the wealth-pockets / military-pockets / farm-country based ultra-conservative groups that would make backwoods Kentucky seem forward-thinking and egalitarian. It is why the state is in a perpetual state of gridlock, now that the conservative mantra has become no-compromises-win-at-all-costs.
You have the same misconception of California that everybody else who doesn't live here has. The state might as well be called "Ramona" which is near enough to Insane Diego (where Jesus lives..) to qualify as holy land amusements incorporated. Anybody who believes that California (and no, nobody calls it Cali except for retards) is some bastion of liberal gayness is completely misinformed and delusional. The concept is a ruse and Tom Dibble deserves a Pulitzer for his post.
I think I'm going to use my "get out of jail free card" here by pointing out that I'm not American and as such my understanding of American politics in certain areas tends to be loose at best. I'm still pretty much stuck in the "red state or blue state" mentality when it comes to which states are crazy.
Buy your soul back in Noremember.
hmm, and they complain about "liberal activist judges." Cognitive dissonance at work
Cognitive dissonance is kind of their "thing" lately. It's how they can complain about government over-reach and regulation but then pass bills telling women what they can and can't do with their own vaginas.
It's how they can complain about the deficit, the budget and the debt but then be so gung-ho about starting more wars or increasing military spending.
It's how they can complain about Sharia Law and oppressive theocratic regimes but then try to use the Bible to justify passing legislation that restricts people's rights.
And of course, it's how they can complain that Obama didn't fix the recession fast enough but then nominate a guy who wants to reintroduce the policies that caused the damn thing in the first place.
CA in broad strokes, one version: "51st state: 'South California' secession proposal unanimously approved for discussion at summit" http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2011/07/51st-state-south-california-unanimously-approved-for-more-meetings.html
Given today's SCOTUS decision, the accent is definitely on the "BUY"!
I heard on "good authority" that this ad will appear in "Free Enterprise", WSJ, and other trades on November 7, 2012:
FIRE SALE - USED SOULS!
Most badly singed, but still probably usable! Citizens United allowed us to pay TOP DOLLAR for these souls but we need to make room for the NEW BATCH coming in for the 2014 elections! We are willing to part with them DIRT CHEAP!!! Call 1-800-REPUBLICAN for a quote!!!
Snark - I just couldn't help myself!!
