There seems to be a bit of pattern to how Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) conducts himself. Periodically, the unhinged Republican lawmaker will say something ridiculous, which is soon followed by a period in which West revels in the attention. Then he'll send out a fundraising letter celebrating his notoriety, before enjoying a little quiet time.
West will, invariably, then start the cycle over again.
It's been a while since the Floridian's latest outburst, so I suppose we were due for garbage like this.
The Republican congressman was speaking an event in his district, where West explained his deranged perspective on President Obama: "He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning, and having that title of American. He'd rather you be his slave."
It's worth noting that (a) President Obama is not trying to enslave the population; and (b) as Maddow Blog has noted before, Allen West is a little too fond of slave metaphors.

I hope West is not an example of our military leaders.What was he,a captain,colonel or something.Why did'nt they catch his mental disease while he was in the service?He, Bachmann and Palin are all the same,they're all mentally deficient.They should take a little trip down to their local Brain's "r" us and pick up a new one,maybe the warranty on the one they have will cover it due to a factory defect.
Union busting, anti minimum wage, disregarding public schools, voter suppression, replaceing local workers with slave labor in Mexico, India, and China.... and accuseing those who are opposed to you of the very crimes your committing.

And here we are watching Allen West selecting against his own survival yet again by supporting Racist, Radical, Women Hating, Homophobic, Robber Baron, Economic Terrorist, Teapublicans.

I was watching C-Span last Friday for the first time ever, and this guy got up there on the floor and ranted for about 15 minutes. My uncle could do the same thing if he were elected.
The fact that this nut-job was actually voted into office, weighs heavy on me, because it speaks to the fact that real people voted this mental defective into office, which means that they too must be mentally defective - which is yet another example of WHY we need access to affordable health (mental) care in this nation!

The girls always win, they type and are better researchers on google. You're the funniest show on cable. I'm so glad MSNBC doesn't care about truth, integrity, journalism, facts or even ratings.
