According to a Gallup poll the attacks on Romney's wealth seem to be working.
How does Romney feel about the Supreme Court's ruling on life sentences for minors? He won't say.
The Green Party's presidential candidate chooses a running mate.
Who is behind the ballot initiative campaign in Michigan to require a two-thirds vote to pass tax increases?
Why giving honorary sheriff's badges to politicians is a bad idea.
Saudi Arabia will send female athletes to the Olympics for the first time ever.
Why is Katie Couric's face on Baghdad billboards?
I'm sure they meant well: Scientists name a bloodsucking marine parasite after Bob Marley.

Lies, lies and damned lies! Why is it Democrats seem incapable of looking conservative Republicans in the face and saying, as did Joe Walsh, "you lie!" Even when they seem to grow a set they immediately cave in once the conservatives toss out the "both sides do it" lie. Republicans constantly cite deceitful polls and tell outright lies about the Affordable Care Act and do so with impunity. Where is the politician like Senator Welch who asked of Sen. McCarthy "Have you no sense of decency sir, at long last?" Instead, we are left with the majority of Americans believing the Republicans who intimate the the Affordable Care Act imposes a tax on every single American citizen and that the business entity of a multimillionaire heiress like Paris Hilton will be harmed. Won't someone please hold them accountable for their lies ... please!
Corporate media makes it's living from Wall Street and corporate American advertising dollars. The same folks who buy off the GOP also buy off major news media. The fix is in. The major media is in collusion with Wall Street, corporate America, and the Republican party. American corporate news media also just reached a new low approval rating of about 20%, and they are headed downward. America is a rigged game and the corporate news folks are actors. They sell their souls to the corporate man for $$$$$$$$$$. They're soulless traitors.
Amazing that we will have a ballot on the raising of taxes that requires a two thirds vote in the legislature. The Republicans have been having those for the last two years everytime they want something enacted in a hurry which supposedly requires the same two thirds vote. They call for a vote, say the ayes have it and it is passed by a show of hands all of which are counted in less than 3 seconds. This is how you get bipartisan cooperation in the Michigan legislature. I guess they felt doing that with taxes might cause some to question their tactics. My question is why do we need to elect these people if the really important measures end up on the ballot for all to vote on. Send the crooks home and just let us vote on everything. I am sure the savings of not having a legislature would cover the cost of putting these measures on the ballot.
Re: Juvenile Sentencing. Mitt took the Fifth yet again, but this time, he did it deceitfully. Instead of openly declaring he wasn't going to express an opinion, he filled the air with empty verbiage as if he were answering the question , while cleverly avoided answering the question actually asked. Maybe he was afraid of getting booed by people who need to believe that the death penalty is a deterrent (if he agreed with the Court) or by those who understand that teenagers are ipso facto crazy, yet capable of maturing (if he disagreed with the Court). He couldn't capitalize on getting booed by colorado conservatives, with whom he was not sufficiently in touch to know what they believed.
Mitt reminds me of the character of governor that Charles Durning played in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. The song he sang was spot on:
"oh I love to dance a little sidestep, now they see me now they don't-
I've come and gone and, ooh I love to sweep around the wide step,
cut a little swathe and lead the people on."
I know, that's most politicians, but he seems to be a pro at it.
Let's hope the font is the wrong size.

I'm fed up with the DSCC approach to "keep up" withn the billionaires ... !
What a pathetic situation the DSCC are in... You can't expect to keep up with the billionares and the 1%... I am on a fixed income, I have given more than I ever have given, because I do believe that the Dem alternative is the one that is concerned for the good of all in the country. Why can't the DSCC come up with a ...strategy that "accepts" the fact that the billionaires are going to "out-raise' and "out-spend" the 99%... enough already ... ! Forget about the "gap" ... !
Start a meager campaign with the focus that "we are 'out-spent", we are the spenders of less amounts ... ! We are the ones with the 'wholistic' message for the good of the country ! The Citizens United decision opened the floodgates for the right wing billionaires to "out-raise" and "out-spend"..., ! This will be the message, please stop trying to "keep up with the billionaires !
We know that "mission impossible" is just that, there is no way we can keep up with the right wing billionaires ! Get the message together, take the high road, use the correct "logical" approach, the messeage is the KEY ! Take the high road, use the message that is irrefutable, the reasoned electorate WILL be there without the billionaire money ! Please STOP trying to get the money, let the right wing spend ALL their money on the ignorant ads ... The electorate will respond ! A voter registration drive is not expensive ! There, I said enough !
Saudi Arabia to send women athletes to Olympics? Will the human rights people be watcing for kidnapped blondes?
If Mitt got his sheriff's badge, he can add a deputy uniform to his state trooper one. That prankster Mitt!
Here's a great one. A Republican in Salem,NH feels, as a husband, he has the right to approve whether or not his wife gets medical care.

Great. The "Green Party" is going to get Mitt elected.
