When he finally gets inaugurated as a duly elected San Diego County judge this winter, birther Gary Kreep will go on the public payroll with a salary of $178,789. The pay for judicial service is much less than he's used to drawing from his political causes. In 2010, for instance, he made $206,000 (pdf) from his birther United States Justice Foundation -- and that was just the salary.
Kreep also collects rent from the United States Justice Foundation, along with more rent and fees from his Republican Majority Campaign PAC. His San Diego disclosure form is kind of scratched up (pdf), so it's not clear how much he's charging himself. But Republican Majority did file new federal paperwork (pdf) yesterday, filled with delicious clues.
The money stuff, after the jump.
With Kreep listed as the president and co-founder, Kreep's PAC reports taking in $1,410,978.66 so far this year, almost all of it in unitemized contributions. Their most recent political buy was a "phone/mail communication" for $100,000 against Barack Obama on June 16, well after the San Diego election.
As for Kreep personally, in April, May and June, his PAC paid him $2,850 in rent. Kreep also took in $16,815.85 for legal services. If he earned at the pace year-round, Kreep would make $67,263.4 for being his own PAC's lawyer.
That PAC appears to have made three direct political contributions during the quarter. Two of them, on April 6, amount to $999 to the Gary Kreep for Judge campaign. The third contribution, also on April 6, sent $1,500 to the Justice-PAC. That money appears to be Justice-PAC's only income (pdf) during the last three months. Justice-PAC did, however, make contributions -- two of them, totaling $999, on April 6, to the Committee to Elect Gary Kreep Judge.
You really can keep yourself busy all day with Kreep's connections. He also lists himself (pdf) as the chairman of Beat Obama PAC, formerly the Draft Herman Cain committee and a whole other barrel of fun.
(Bonus: Talking Points Memo swam around in the Kreep financials back in 2010.)

This is SO San Diego, I love it! It's almost as good as the fireworks!
Treason must not be a very important crime.
Be wise to avoid San Diego - in the off chance that you got brought up before this judge. His rationalization is clearly whacko so you could get life for a parking violation.
If ever a surname nailed it.....................
Yeah, and obama pac and superpacs are filled with douchebags...whats the point?...
Oh my, Aren't douchebags a form of birth control? Get 'em timmy toad get 'em!
Friends- and you are ALL my friends- I recently rented my spare bedroom to "Friends of DAY", a PAC, for $2500 a month.
Please send me some money, or else I will have to throw myself out!
It won't be long before San Diego wishes it had Peed on the bench.
Creepy how Kreep paccks it in from fools who never will check on his pacs. Sure he's scum but all he is doing is separating fools from their money. Meanwhile in Realityville...
seems like a lovely shell game. The denizens of the GOP/TP seems to be intent on showing just how deceitful they can be, while at the same time claiming to be ever-so pious.
It's a wonder that such people like Kreep haven't exploded considering that their party is run by a Jewish man (you know how "they" love to control money and politics!) and a Mormon, one of those culty guys!
velkyn
I hope you're kidding with remark about "a Jewish man". Because this is one Jew who doesn't like that kind of humor.
I'm not Jewish and I don't like it. Plus, I know all sorts of Yiddish words I can use to express my displeasure, just for kicks.
Thank you MM
I was under the impression that velkyn's point was actually critical of that way of thinking.
Daniel
velkyn wasn't clear on that point or otherwise I would not have made the remark. If velkyn wishes to clarify he/she can do so.
a prime example of one of the job creators that will be unfairly impacted if he must pay higher taxes once more on the income over 250k
I think I would tremble with fear with these five words:
~~ THE HONORABLE JUDGE KREEP PRESIDING ~~
LoL!!
I must be naive, but I thought judges were supposed to be non-partisan?
In an indirect way I blame C Street. We all allowed for Falwell and Robertson and people like them to put religion into our politicts way in the early 1980s; so to all of us made it possible for crap like this to happen. Sadly we set the monster loose and now we have to ride out the devastation the monster brings to our Democracy.
First we have premature fireworks here and the whoopie was over in 15 seconds (frankly, I've been vaccinated slower)... Now this. It's a beautiful place to live, but DAMN, we sure know how to make all of the wrong headlines! :)
The election of this Kreep proves that the California education system has finally hit bottom.
Did anyone remember this is the day Kreep's soulmate Sheriff Joe was going to shatter the earth with a new revelation. Funny how no one is reporting it, not even the Arizona Republic(an). Lotsa help for the Kreep there.
Now ole Joe says Tuesday! My God, he has said this since March and still nothing! I have never liked him because of bigotry and civil rights. Who in their right mind would believe a word out of this man's mouth? Yup, the uneducated and Arizonians!
