Rush Limbaugh's Batman Conspiracy: I Never Said Villain Was Created For 2012 Campaign (AUDIO)

Rachel: Has anyone considered that the reason Mitt Romney does not want to disclose his tax returns is because in past years he gave enormous amounts of money to the Mormon Church (as the religion requires approximately a 10% gross yearly income contribution) and that this revelation will demonstrate his disturbingly close ties to the Mormon Church much to the consternation of the rest of the Christian population?
I hope not! I am an LDS Dem (there are lots of us!). Why is his religion an issue? It was wrong for Kennedy, Obama and now, Romney.
And it's not approximately...it's exactly 10%, plus more in offerings, and is indeed a requirement, just as tithing is required in the Bible...both Testaments.
You're own quote: disturbingly close ties to the Mormon Church much to the consternation of the rest of the Christian population?
shows your own prejudice and misguided hatred.
Far more likely reasons are that he didn't pay taxes, or paid so little in comparison to we ordinary folk; or he doesn't want to reveal the income from Bain...that it could cause a real uproar!
There is very little I like or admire about Romney...I've been tweeting all kinds of #notaRomneyMormon things, but give the man his due. He has always been a faithful tither.
cicel,
Why are you bringing up religion? It was wrong when used against Kennedy, Obama and now, Romney.
For the record, I am an LDS Dem, and I am not alone. While there is little I like or admire about Romney, give man man credit for following one of the requirements of our faith; BTW, it is exactly 10%...plus most members of the LDS Church also pay extra in offerings.
More than likely, the real reasons may include:
Your own quote:
..."that this revelation will demonstrate his disturbingly close ties to the Mormon Church much to the consternation of the rest of the Christian population?"
shows your own prejudice and ignorance.
Shameful for a Rachel follower...
I think you're spot-on with this. Doubt seriously he'd gotten this far if there were any provable in-discressions with his taxes. You know that once he announced candidacy, thousands of IRS-eyes (authorized or not) were on his returns and he would've been tipped off by now.
It' is entirely plausible that his taxes are up and up, he gave incredible sums to the church (as a tax shelter) and made impeccable use of every loop-hole in the tax code to pay an insanely-low tax payments. In this soak the rich, OWS mentality that's been created, this could easily be played as a detriment to a candidate.
Funny how he's being relentlessly accused to tax evasion when several of the Obama cabinet (Geithner, et-al) are confirmed tax cheats.
Just callins a turd-a-turd here.
As a liberal, I don't care about his religion. However, his base might, and that's what he's really worried about.
Hi Rachel,
I've been waiting to Facebook, tweet, Pinterest and g1 your excellent piece on McCain. And I want to slap someone on Twitter...he goes by @TOP_Hisself. He can be really funny, but when it comes to politics, he's as disgusting as the rest of Sgt Bachmann's Right Wing Band! He said it was sinister for McCain to complain about investigations...
ERGH!
NObama has blamed everything and everybody for the piss poor economy that left his supporters (especially women and the young and the black and hispanic communities that "HOPED" for "CHANGE" in 2008 and are left "HOPELESS" and "SHORTCHANGED". From George Bush and Wall Street and the Business Community, to Earthquakes off of Japan, to the Tea Party and Republican's in control of the House of Representatives after 2011 and Bain Capital in 1999-2002, there were pleanty of culprits to shift the blame to. The one I like now is his crying about the economic headwinds coming from Europe (due to the faltering socialist economies in the Obama style of government reckless spending with borrowed dollars that no one wants the bonds of anymore): what he isn't seeing is those same fiscally unsound policies he promulgated and his meddling with business (including our fossil fuel businesses) through excessive regulations and calls for more taxes are the "chickens come home to roost" flying on those headwinds now.
The candidate of Hope and Change became 4 years later the candidate of Distract and Blame. How stupid is it that some of his old supporters will try to make him to be their champion still.
Vote NObama 2012!!
You are a fool and know nothing of what you're talking about.
In short-you are a republican.
I think President Obama should drop this strategy of distraction about Romney's tax returns and instead focus on fixing the real problem of 8.2% unemployment, rising gas prices, mortgage & company foreclosures, deficits & hopelessness among Americans. But if he chooses to indulge on this path, the Republicans would have no choice but to go nuclear by demanding his high school and college transcripts which he spent millions of dollars being sealed. President Obama please stay clear of all these trivial nonsense & address instead the most pressing issues like JOBS AND ECONOMY.
Please list the source for your comment about Obama spending "millions of dollars" to seal his academic records.
Her employers in her trolling job didn't supply her with that information.
OK, how about you call your representatives and ask why they refuse to pass OBAMA'S JOB BILL.
I'd like to see President Obama tackle his defamers head on and call them and their actions what they are...racists and racism.
It's finally come put publicly enough that no one can deny it. He should label it and let them squirm.
Sadly, I don't think they'd care!
Well that would certainly an idiotic thing to do!
Just watched tonights "rebuttal" of the "rebuttal" of Limbaugh's distancing from the "bane of the BAIN" thing... Its amazing that they don't realized that THEY ARE ON TAPE and can be easily caught in their "missteps".
To add to the "conspiracy" barrel, I received an email which stated that Obama's SOCIAL SECURITY number was faked...sigh. Stolen by his grandmother in Hawaii for the express purpose of 'legitimizing' a foretold presidency from his infancy. How about adding this one to the expose calendar for all its wide eyed bat@!$%#tery? Something about an immigrant who came to America, (Connecticut seems to have some relevance here) and then died conveniently in Hawaii and Grand Ma Ma usurped his number for the grand son for purposes as described above. Could someone research this and offer it up to Rachel (after due diligence is done) for some entertaining smack down? I'd like to see some conservative humility and embarrassment please...
Thanks!! :~)
R~
That "foretold presidency" must have been a humdinger... considering there wasn't a black senator in the modern era until 1967, and only two during Reconstruction. No research needed; one cannot research crazy.
Thanks grumpy...that was funny! As Rachel said..."Maybe they have/had a time machine?" which would make some physicists quite jealous!! When I got the email in question regarding a fake SSN, I went to Google and the first link was a Snopes account of how it was false. I sent the link to the person and was 'informed' that they were suspicious of Snopes since it was run by a Husband/Wife team with left leaning tendencies... I guess you just can't win with the crazy, eh? I actually posed the question back if "they" (the snopes people) had supported and/or opposed information that would cast a favorable light on the 'conservative' side of the issue...to date, no response back. I guess there ISN'T anything favorable coming from their side, so naturally Snopes is biased by default....amazing the twisted logic...!
May I make a comment somewhat off issue?
Remember how unions used to tell us to buy American? Now whispers from the wealthy to the wealthy come saying-buy America. (sorry 'bout hat)
the union leaders ARE the wealthy.
Ummmm... no. Thanks for playing.
