1. Gov. Rick Scott should just come out and call his pogrom program a purge of Democrats. Mississippians were candid about their TRAP legislation. Why not spread the southern hospitality?

2. Dems shouldn't press tax-disclosure legislation. Mitt will call it a partisan witch hunt, portray himself as victim, and then crusade against the bill itself. Right now, he's just stewing in his own juices. It's better that way.

3. Can you use a Michigan driver's license to comply with Michigan voter ID laws? Can you use it to buy guns in Michigan? I want to say it can't get any crazier, but I'm afraid it will, and it scares me.

4. I agree more with TexasPhantom than I do with ogrover. If she said any of these things under oath, she'd be her own insanity defense against charges of perjury. She needs an in-patient setting.

Miss Bachmann, sadly, continues to demonstrate her lack of knowledge, her bigotry, her racism and - most glaringly - her lack of intelligence. I am mystified as to how such individuals are elected in the first place. But, even more disturbing, the Republican Party has become a cesspool of bigots and racists bent on removing our President at any cost, by any means necessary.

Note that tradeable jobs are not correlated with education. Medical analysis of imaging, tissue samples and diagnosis of test results can just as easily be performed in India as can architectural designs, legal analysis, software or mechanical engineering. Taxi cab drivers, plumbers, nurses, firemen, teachers, janitors and police cannot be offshored. Some of them require high levels education, most do not. The internet and the existence of billions of workers in China and India have radically altered the future hopes of US workers desiring employment in tradeable jobs. Efficient markets do not necessarily equate to socially good outcomes. Or is this sacrilege?

Not political? "The Supreme Court follows the election returns." h/t Mr. Dooley/Finley Peter Dunne. Of course, sometimes it overrules them - cough_Bush v Gore_cough. I've heard before that some studies, as observed by the carelessly rationalizing Justice Scalia, claim that Bush would have won Florida anyway had the vote count been continued. I would simply observe that other (better) studies suggest the opposite. All of which entirely leaves aside the question of the enormous amount of voter caging/suppression which occurred in Florida that year, the strategic lack of voting machines in certain districts leading to long lines and lost votes, etc. etc. etc. But what the heck - every vote is only sacrosanct when you're trying to justify voter "integrity" suppression plans schemes. Otherwise, "get over it", right? What an ass.

Don't like to cry over spilled milk but how much revenue has the govt. lost due to the changes in the inheritance tax law and the Bush tax cut to the wealthy? So we borrow money to insure the super wealthy stay super wealthy and everything else tumbles down around us? What don't people get? Blame it on the President of course.

I find it an interesting (and possible conflicting) messaging when MSNBC airs ads from the Republican National Committee (www.gop.com) during their commercial breaks. The latest one is this ad, most recently seen during today's The Cycle:

The ad says Obama took office with big plans to repair the economy, but the country now has an economic crisis with no end in sight. It concludes: "He tried. You tried. It's OK to make a change."

It doesn't look like a locally aired spot (which would be traced to Comcast), so the possibility that it's a national (sold by MSNBC) ad is intriguing. While news sources say this is being broadcast in battleground states, I'm able to see it in a non-battleground state.

Does this play up the notion that MSNBC isn't as extreme as Fox News? That not only does MSNBC allow a platform for Republican (Morning Joe) and independent views (prior Dylan Ratigan) voices, but is willing to profit off them? That shows such as The Cycle with S. E. Cupp opens the doors to business with "the other side"? Does this undermine the more Liberal and Independent show hosts?

It's so odd to see such ads on MSNBC, and just as abrupt as Maddow's Friday night sign off nods to "Going to Jail" (which are hilarious, please keep doing that, because the transition is just absurd).

I'm looking for pro-Obama, Liberal, and Democratic ads on Fox (Faux) News, but not expecting any. If any one has seen any, please let me know. I believe Media Matters was able to get one broadcast, but that's it:
