San Jose: 21 people treated for burns after firewalk at Tony Robbins appearance
21 hurt walking over hot coals at Tony Robbins event recovering

Sooo ... Ezra reported that a bunch of loons got burnt walking on coals, then he showed why you can walk on coals without being burned. Obvious question: how did those twenty-one burn themselves? Did they try and one-up Tony by converting fire walking to fire standing?
And just as important: after gullible sap #1 was burned, why did gullible sap #2 proceed? etc., etc., ... and after gullible sap #20 was burned, why did gullible sap #21 proceed?
Oh wait. I think I just answered my own question.
People should leave this "gun control" idea alone. WHY on earth should good Americans be on a "list" or anything because they choose to purchase a legal item in America? Why is it the mass is ALWAYS punished for what the few do? Hmm. Indeed.. There are far more good responsible gun owners then those who abuse them or harm folks in mass. So shouldn't we by gun control logic FORCE everyone to own a gun or guns? Majority rule correct. ; ]
I am all to serious here because it is ridiculous to talk gun control especially after everyone got there rocks off saying how much MY good friend B. isn't taking guns away or trying to curb there sales in anyway in the face of Fast and Furious. Shall your hypocrisy know no bounds ma'am? So here it is we do not ban automobiles for there deadly use and that is far more prevalent then gun violence. So this need and want to talk "gun control" is FAR overplayed. It is a shot in the dark that's ridiculous to the point of absurdity. ;]
We are free in this country and I am far to tired of losing freedoms in mass for what the few have done such as the patriot act after 9-11. We need to stop punishing the many the responsible and the FREE for what the few do and have done. So jog on huh? Come off it it is unbecoming... ; ]
Cheers
Mowdy, the mentally damaged are not the mass of Americans, nor are they the type of people who should be toting weapons. No one, not even the"good, responsible" gun owner, needs assault weapons or weapons that can be converted for full auto fire (such as the AR-15). Furthermore, unless you're running some kind of shooting event or a firing range, there is no reason why anyone should be buying thousands of rounds.
You bring up cars... well, we licence people to use those. Why not licence people to own and operate guns? The reason why not is that loons like the NRA fight even reasonable measures tooth and claw and seek to weaken enforcement of the laws we already have, even in the face of events like this that prove that their gun-ownership free-for-all is increasingly unhealthy for our country.
But that's not important! Screw society, we've got our guns! Nice priorities, there.
So many folks love to assume to tell a free man or woman what they need or do not need.As a free people we are free to want and to fulfill those wants as we so choose within the legal realm of our country. Shooting is sport on range, shooting is fun and people may choose to have what they wish to shoot. Should we assume to tell people they CAN'T own an SUV or a van for the handicapped for what you may perceive is not a need? Hmm. Indeed.
Some people will say you do not need thousands of bullets UNLESS you own a range or shot at one thereby defusing there own argument WITH there own argument. You can NEVER get around the truth that we are free. We are a capitalist nation money is to be made wills of people to be fulfilled and that is fact. Should one day the government be taken [not likely BTW] by crazy rightest like fringe elements [tea bags] one might find the need for those bullets in a hurry [not likely but poignant]. ; ]
Other folks say we licence cars why not guns? For the most part we do BUT! We use cars everyday as police use there guns. Most folks do not carry guns everyday as oppossed to those who drive to school work to get grocieries to hospitals etc.. Apples and oranges I say. Just becasue a weapon is misused you cannot equate its measure all the time. Knives are a vastly used murder weapon should we be licenced to carry those as well? It is FEAR that dicattes peoples motives when guns are involved yet you are more likely to die in a plane then in a theatre shooting right?
Events such as this tragedy are few and far between in the scheme of things you know what is NOT few and far between in the scheme of things? Responsible gun ownership. It happens EVERY day right here in this country. Every hour every minute second and milli second. Yes folks responsible gun ownership is occurring RIGHT NOW as we speak read and watch. ; ]] It is a DAILY occurrence yet NO one is trying to force me to own guns. Why? Why not? It is a regular occurrence but because it is good and the "reg" a it were it is not worth advocating? I say punish the few for what the majority does or reward them so. Mandate gun ownership so that responsibility is PRO active in its wake.. ; ]
Or are responsible adults incapable of this task? Are the free un able to take about ownership responsibly to ones own indifference and affect? Hmm. Indeed.
Rare my friend.. ; ]
Cheers
When American society can prove it can handle the power of these weapons, you might have a point. Our out-of-control gun violence and killings prove that you don't. Nearly 9,500 gun-violence deaths in one year put the lie to your "responsible ownership" argument. You may have a freedom to buy and own guns, but one of the key freedoms that is the foundation of this country is "life" and life comes before your capitalistic ideals.
By the way, upvoting your own posts just proves you know that your argument is bunk. Faking approval doesn't make you right.
And here's some actual data on how "great" an idea more guns in the populace is... here's a hint: more guns = more killings. http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/research/hicrc/firearms-research/guns-and-death/index.html
I have heard here or there that the number of deaths is too GREAT compared with responsible gun ownership.. ; ]Not so at all. My point is proven in over all gun owners that are still alive have not killed others illegally or other wise and the SHEER number of multi millions of Americans that exists.. ; ]
I also have heard that the "life" in the pursuit of life liberty and happiness" is guaranteed. It is not. The pursuit however is. ONLY God can or may make that guarantee of life to one or the other. Otherwise explain why cures do not exists for cancer the Ebola sarcoidosis arthritis antphosphilipitantibodies..etc? Why is the bird flu not banned from spreading? Asinine yhough it may be that last one I'm sure the picture has been taken.
Most all of my comments receive HIGH numbers of votes so I know I am agreed with by few if not many and the fact that gun laws stand as they do proves who the majority is on topic. Off topic you do not go around as a physician mis diagnosing problem or illness or you will have had at the end of ones own career. A better way to spend ones time would then be to delve in to the true problem of mental illness whack a dos whack a donts sociopathic tendency's psycho pathic tendency's and many other homicidal tendency's that exist and try to curb there spread toward indifference. ; ]
You see banning guns or advocating there minimal use is not addressing what the problem symptoms or outcome may be. It is not addressing the fundamental fact that human being are unpredictable when not understood. Personality traits are common tthough some may be un common but occur with a regularity that studies have been done for years upon years. To know that is to know the uncertainty of life and what it is to LIVE it.
It is quite dangerous to live in a free society and we can all imagine what those who do not must endure on a daily basis. So to that point the social compact we as a free people abide by is a fragile one and police are there to ensure to a point that it is entrusted in kind. However most people in this country have the right to make money and a living and do so within the law.
Again the inescapable matter of the size of this American population to the toll of deaths in proportion are limited in a scientific view of statistics. NO ONE ever promised living free would be easy and no one says it is not scary at times but at the same time we must remain vigilant in the inherent nature of those who are good and may watch out for one another.
Let us look out for one another our fellow man and recognize pain and hurt so that we may offer refuge and comfort so that hatred does not take hold in this, this manner.. We MUST be our brothers keeper and not turn to being his nanny. ; ]
Or what will it then mean..? To be free?
Cheers
You know the next day after the massacre there were wack jobs who call themselves "Christians" blaming liberals for the massacre. More then a few blames abortion to liberals causing God to lift his hand from the nation to the government BANNING God in the "public square" to a high school not allowing prayer.. Shall we ban liberals? NO! Because the absurdity of not addressing the actual problems of those individuals is on par with the absolute stupidity of arguments such as those. It is the wrong misguided ill informed target of anger at what one person did... ; ]]
If someone want to kill one would be hard pressed to stop it if planned no matter the venue or method. Guns are as American as apple pie. Guns are ingrained in Americas psyche to an extent it is part of the countries identity. It will always be so. The freedom to do what one wishes is dangerous rugged it may be stupid violent [such as fighting] or benign as smelling flowers.... Being American is dangerous. However it is also great and we all do not choose to come here most are born into it. Why? Ask God but we are all Americans and we all can choose with our right to do so what we think it is to be American.
But if I cannot force you and others to own guns with prevailing LOGIC nor can you expect to force me to not to have them It is not logical to do so..
Cheers
You know, here's the thing. I keep hearing gun lovers go on and on about how there's some mystical link between gun ownership and freedom. And yet I look around the world and I see a) plenty free countries that somehow manage to maintain their freedom without being awash in guns--indeed, we're the only more or less free country that allows nearly unrestricted ownership of small arms b) no instance in history where freedom was wrested from a tyrant by sturdy yeomen bearing personal weapons against uniformed soldiers and, c) at least one thorough tyranny (Iraq under Saddam Hussein) where every household in the nation was allowed to own an AK-47 for "personal protection."
And spare me yammering about the noble farmers at Lexington and Concord, because they got their butts whipped. It takes a trained (or at least experienced) force under military discipline bearing standardized, logistically supportable, weaponry to defeat an army. And it takes high explosives, which thank God you're still not allowed to own, to mount an effective insurgency. When we liberals finally unleash our secret plan to put all you Real Murikens in concentration camps and force you to subsist on a diet of tofu and arugula, just like the NRA tells you we're going to do, your supply of small arms will be worse than useless.
Self protection? The number of people who kill or maim themselves or family members through accident or murder each year vastly exceeds the number of home intruders shot (or even scared off) with a firearm. From an epidemiological standpoint, owning a gun for "self-defense" makes about as much sense as exposing yourself to anthrax to immunize yourself from chicken pox.
Hunting? Right, because a weapon firing 5.56 NATO or 7.62 Warsaw Pact rounds that's optimized for maximum firepower in a short range engagement with people who are shooting back is just the thing for deer or geese or varmints.
What it comes down to is that we as a society are supposed to endure one slaughter after another, along with the continuous retail level slaughter of murders and accidental shootings that occur daily, just so you people can enjoy your damn hobby free of even the minimal level of regulation that we require before you're allowed to drive a damn car. And whenever anyone dares to point that out to you, you raise the ridiculous specter of a government trying to turn the Yoonited States into a totalitarian hellhole like Canada or Japan.
Mowdy - Actually, it's "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"; maybe you'd be a better American if you stopped focusing so much on the 2nd Amendment (or at least the part that doesn't imply that it relates to militias, and doesn't guarantee ownership of fully automatic weapons) and started paying attention more to the broader writings and spirit of the country.
It is sooooooo funny how folks love to question your "American-ness" or patriotism when they disagree. Mostly those on the right do it but lately I am starting to see this from the left as well.
I MYSELF have NEVER in any of my posts referred to the second amendment directly as my reasoning. I simply point out we are a FREE nation. Free to do what we choose under the law. Those poor misguided folks who are unable to look read and understand clearly what people say or write well, I pitty them greatly. Some folks cannot seem to simply understand that freedom and rights are just that. Once you give them up you lose that freedom period. And why should we? Why would any American give up rights to be free and do what we wish under the law when so many other freedoms have willingly been given away as those under te Patriot act? All because of FEAR? ; ]
The right fears everything, they are always afraid they are afraid YOU are not as fearful as they are.. Now the left as well? Hmm. Indeed. Fear is NOT of God and fear should NEVER control ones actions thoughts or otherwise. Fear leads to misgivings stupidity and bad decisions because fear is not logical and fear is irrational. Calm thought and brave heart determine history and with the MAJORITY of American gun owners using guns and owning them responsible I NOW advocate MAKING everyone own one.. ; ]] [because it is just as asinine]
You see anti abortion laws are everywhere from the right trying to TELL women what they can or cannot do with there own bodies doctors or tool used for the process. Gun are tools for fun or for jobs. It is the users who must be held to account for there actions there in. Furthermore know one should be banning what is legal as abortion weather you like it or not. Guns are NO different. People cannot and should not be using religious arguments or morals to try to govern with our government at that helm. Nor should fear or personal beliefs be used to govern over a product that is legal has been legal and will always be legal. It is un American and hypocritical for those on the left to do so. In a FREE society such as our great country danger abounds. It always will and you must live with it. Period. [.]....

Thanks Maddow Blog! Today is my birthday, and this is the best present ever! - @jehnius
Re the ABC piece on the Romney ad with the "businessman" taking the handout.
New game kids . Read the comments section and tell me who are the Faux Nooze viewers.
Astounding . So far inside the bubble/cult that when presented with the truth:
You're lying ...that can't be true.
Haven't republicans been telling us for 18 months that the guns found at the scene of agent Brian Terry's murder were RESPONSIBLE for his death? Doesn't the entire' Fast and Furious' case hang on believing guns rather than people were RESPONSIBLE for this killing? Apparently if you support the NRA guns are innocent in all gun violence acts unless you can score political points .
