I firmly KNOW that human activity is making Earth hotter...however...if you REALLY check with NASA and NOAA you will find that Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and even demoted Pluto...which is moving further AWAY from the Sun is also getting WARMER as it moves further out into the cold dark void between it and the Oort Cloud. What no one in Media and NASA wants to admit...is the 2012 Galactic alignment thingy where we ARE in brutal truth flat fact getting an increasing large dosage of gamma, x-ray, and other radiation heating as we get closer and closer to the elliptic plane. This is basic FLAT FACT SCIENCE PHYSICS.... and if You ask NASA and some one there tells you different ... PLEASE say so here or email me and I will help set THEM straight as the data is there to find. Also might want to watch where the MSL is landing and HOW they have mis-managed the landing yet to come. It will land while it is behind Mars NOT in direct contact with Earth, only ONE spacecraft Odyssey which recently went through some downtime issues and had to be moved to get into position closer to cover the landing LIVE to Earth since they did NOT plan the landing while the landing site was FACING Earth..and there is NO reasonable and logical reason this cold not have been done. Ask them if they have one...then get back to me on what they say...because only a tiny fraction of speed or a few seconds earlier takeoff, and on-flight travel COULD have made it so that the landing would have happened WHILE the site was FACING Earth not on the Farside of Mars. The MRO and ESA Express will only record the decent...neither have live capabilities to handle the rover while gong down...now in the blind darkness on farside of planet into the deepest hole within a few hundred meters of a 5 kilometer high mountain in the MOST dangerous landing zone EVER attempted by a rover. And this place isn't described as "Enigmatic" for feature formation as another spot on Mars is...only one...Cydonia. But Mars is only getting warmer, Malin et al PROVED liquid water ON Mars flowing NOW back in 2002...yet they have NO LIFE detection equipment on any rovers since Viking....why not???
But yes, Global Warming I happening, and Man IS contributing...but it is NOT the primary cause...it is the radiation from the Black Hole at the Center of the Milky Way galaxy and our radiation is getting greater, our magnetic "bubble" around Earth is getting weaker, Earthquakes and Volcanoes are getting more active, more species are dying...and remember ...Pluto IS getting HOTTER moving AWAY from the sun. These are scientific flat facts. Man isn't helping earth in preparation for what is coming...and our politicians and secret government that Bill Moyers and Ollie North testified to are also not helping either.

Why is it ALSO that Mr. Romney is endorsed by anyone at all? He has been wrong about almost everything foreign policy all the time time and time again. Wrong. So why is he still supported? What does this say about that part of the population? That piece of American humanity that supports wrong- NESS to coin a phrase?

The ice sheet on Greenland hasn't actually melted. The Greenland ice cap still averages well over a mile deep. The NASA report mentions 97% of the very tippy-top surface-area of the ice, the portion that contacts the air, the portion visible to satellites, has reached a sufficiently warm temperature, 32 degrees F, that it is in the process of melting. Normally at this time of the year much more of this tippy-top surface area remains frozen solid, colder than 32 degrees F. The snow underneath the melting surface is not melting, well mostly not, though once the top layer melts away the layers immediately beneath the top are obviously next-in line for melting. NASA really should have worded this announcement more carefully.

Yeah, Ezra misspoke. However that was just the lead in to the bit on Greenland. The full segment was much better and made clear the distinction between weather and climate.

My specialty isn't the climate. It's little bits involving sustainability that click with me. What I find most curious about the concept of a sustainable human footprint is it tends to not require much in the line of money.

She is probably at home, her part time home in affluent Northhapmpton, Ma where other 1%ters live in Western Mass. A city that has a demographic of 90% white, 90% white population. The Smith College Rhodes Scholar graduate is probably visiting the artsy streets and taverns and hob nobbing with all her visibly affluent friends along some local walkway in the middle of a genuinely upper upper upper middle class if not for Western Mass, weathlthy well to do (ya know like the Romney's are oft times want to do) posh or lavishly flourishing greens.

Rachell is not in the top 1% of income earners in the US. She is no doubt well off, good for her. Unlike you I do not begrudge her her wealth or feel any class envy. What I resent are those like yourself who believe we should give the ultra rich even MORE tax breaks while raising taxes on the very poor.

My brother had trouble walking then one day he showed me his foot. It was blackened and basically dead. Since he had already ignored the problem long enough for his foot to die I told him to look at it a lot and check for cracks to avoid gangrene. Shocked at my "news" he quit ignoring his problem and the doc whopped his leg off. He eventually died from various problems associated with agent orange-like having to undergo all six bypasses.
My pitiful moral? Ignor global warming-hell it's probably to late to save ourselves anyway. I am sure your kids will thank you as they slowly die from hunger or thirst or wars fought over the remaining fertile land and fresh water.
