James Roosevelt Jr "Democrat Catholics" ie Catholics for Obama. Just another fake rebelious catholic "social justice" "Liberation Theology" bogus outfit like "Nuns pn the Bus's Sr Simone Campbell. Just what their site commits to, just what their links apply. (Pax Christi & Sr Simone's Network" etc) Is HE who you got to talk about both sids of the HHS mandate? His organization supports it. In abject defiance of the Bishops (who their site calls, radical conservatives).
Please tell me that is the best you can do.
COWARD! Get Fr Pavone from Priests for Life ...........
stop being a PHONEY!
Really - your way or the highway - typical strict Catholic interpretation from your august high horse - am so relieved every time one of you rants on that I saw the light of truth that womyn are worthy to be divine - so divinely delicious - Happy Lammas to you too!
Nice to see the Catholic bigots out in force. Keep at it, you and your kind are driving sane Catholics out of the Church. The bishops that you so revere are the same guys who gave aid and comfort to the Nazis and fascists during the 1920's, 30's and 40's and lost a good portion of their European flock and all of their privileges after WWII. Idiots never learn from their mistakes. The church is still apologizing for its sins in the 1200's, its gonna take them a few centuries to work up to their 20th and 21st century sins.
Fred
You mean Nazi aid comfort as described here by Albert Einstien. Is this what you'e talking about? Learn a lesson in history. Don't be ignorant.
On December 23, 1940, Time Magazine published the
following comments by Albert Einstein, page 38:
Being a lover of freedom, when the revolution came in Germany I
looked to the universities to defend it, knowing that they had always boasted of
their devotion to the case of truth; but no, the universities immediately were
silenced.
Then I looked to the great editors of the
newspapers whose flaming editorials in days gone by had proclaimed their love of
freedom. But they, like the universities, were silenced in a few short weeks.
Only the Church stood squarely across the path of Hitler’s campaign for
suppressing truth.
I never had any special interest in the Church
before, but now I feel a great affection and admiration because the Church alone
has had the courage and persistence to stand for intellectual truth and moral
freedom. I am forced thus to confess, that what I once despised, I now praise
unreservedly. – Albert

Crone:
Please then, point me toward one single passage from Jesus Chirst to which He says: Thou shalt Kill. Take up the sword, murder thy neighbor, it is right and just to take innocent life. As I recall He said, "you have heard it said, Thou shalt not kill. But I tell you, if you say raca to your brother you are guilty of murder".
Please, show me one verse where Jesus Christ said it's OK to kill or take innocent life. That will help me to be a better catholic.
Ah yes, IrishPat7, the scripture roulette game - no thank you - gave up on that book a long time ago - purposed to the government of the time - edited severely and mistranslated freely - source document - not for me - i am not someone who would even want to make you a better catholic - that is an oxymoron in my book - only my opinion - take what you like and leave the rest - that's a new idea for your church.
Well, I guess in "your book" the ends justify the means. Therefore, killing is licit no matter the rational. Oh OK, I understand.
"Take what you like and leave the rest" applies only to those I have pointed out in the original text. Catholic Democrats, Network (Sr Simone Campbell) Pax Christi etc etc. Now you seem to get it. Glad I could enlighten you. They have been taking your advice for nearly 50 years. See, it's an old, old old idea already.
Bible roulette game? No, if so, don't worry, it's benign. There is no ammo in any of the chambers. You'd be safe.
Your follow up post negates the first. So why bother yourself. Just turn up your nose to my post in the first place, and move on. Sorry you wasted your time(no interest in making me a better catholic). You could have been editing your book of life.
Chick-fil-a and the others involved with this hatred are the biggest hypocrites around when they want to sit there and condemn homosexuals. Being Christian is supposed to be for love, compassion and understanding, not to be an extremist of hatred. As it was said before there is LGBT people who have had very profound religious and/or spiritual experiences and experiences that have helped people. For these hypocrites to say LGBT people would be against God’s will or love would be absolutely false. If anything these very religious and/or spiritual experiences these LGBT people have had proves God accepts LGBT people as they are. Chick-fil-a and these others involved in this should be condemn and called out for who they really are as extremists of hatred, falsehood, and nothing to do with being good Christians or whatever religious faith they may have.
This with chick-fil-a is actually sickening, since they are mostly just doing this to make money by saying come to our place to support us and by the way make sure you buy our products as we persecute and murder people.
This is really something with these extremists of hatred that would prefer to condemn, persecute, and even murder LGBT people if they could. But these extremists fail to realize something and that is LGBT people who have profound religious and/or spiritual experiences are God's children also and are of the light. Thus these extremists of hatred would also be condemning, persecuting and murdering God's children of light which does carry a very heavy price for doing such a thing.
This is a free country the management and ownership of Chick Fil A have every right to spend their money to promote the execution of gays in Uganda, and I have every right to remind them of their funding murder every day.
This is interesting with these religious extremists of hatred as they think they understand about all these gospels about Jesus and they definitely do not, except to provide some twisted version of what they think things should be. But when you get into realizing how things were back than and what Jesus’ statements are, you realize these are just religious extremists of hatred and are really full of crap. Especially if you have had some additional experiences that have led you to understand much more of what Jesus meant. We are all God’s children and all of us are loved by God. And by our freewill we can come to do better things in this world by the better side of our human nature as we accept all people and in additional use everything available to us such as science to improve this world of ours. But whatever we do it is us that are choosing our destiny and it is always wiser to make the better choices and solutions available to us.
Will there ever be any mainstream media coverage about the Dawood National Military Hospital in Kabul? Much more important, at least in my mind, than idiot teabaggers or Romney-bot gaffs, even though they ar nice and fluffy. Just curious...
People who knew about the horror at that hospital and did not intervene need to be prosecuted. Lt.Gen. Caldwell has had an earlier brush with controversy as reported in RollingStone:

Rachel I am very confused regarding Mr. Romney's claim that he does not know how his taxes were filed and the truth about whether he has paid taxes. I guess my confusion is that this gentleman who claims he is such great businessman and wants to become President of the United States and turn our economy around can't and will not answer any questions regarding his finances. I cannot trust a person who believes doesn't need to expose his financial information ( oh yes he doesn't know what his financial information is). How can anyone believe this arrogant man. I lived and worked in Massachusetts, worked for a state agency during the time that he was governor and there were many jobs cut through attrition and financial incentives. After a period hiring was resumed but many of those hired were consultants with higher salaries than those positions that were replaced. The consultant positions were hired under different titles but the positions were the same. Just more difficult to trace.
I'm glad to state my thoughts on your blog and am so very happy you are there to clarify information for all of us, to bad the conservative population doesn't listen.
Regarding the segment with James Roosevelt about Romney's Massachusetts residency issue when he wanted to run for governor of Massachusetts, I found those Boston Globe articles about the issue several weeks ago and concluded:
Romney was attempting to establish residency in Utah to run for office in Utah. But then he decided to return to Massachusetts and now he had a problem. Hence the song and dance and blaming others for paperwork errors.
The other thing that's worrisome is how willingly and ably Romney initially lied about it.
Sorry to but in here, but the segment on the 8/1 show about the lack of a NYC parade is really bugging me. You see, as I recall the original story that was broadcast, the Pentagon's objection to the NYC parade was that it would also salute returned veterans from the war in Afghanistan. The Pentagon's position was that it would be inappropriate to have a "welcome home" parade while the war was still going on. While Maddow did not agree with that view, I found it quite reasonable.
Only now with the follow up, there is no mention at all of Afghanistan. The only context for the original story is a brief clip of the organizers of the potential NYC parade expressing their desire to honor Iraq veterans as well as all veterns who have served since 9/11. I understand why Maddow would be puzzed as to why the Pentagon would not want a parade for Iraq veterns in NYC, but that was never the issue as far as the Pentagon is concerned.
Sorry, but I have to call BS on this one. I think Romney should be taking notes. This is how you do revisionism right. Rachel, I know this is important to you, but please leave the selective reporting to the folks at Fox News. You're better than that.
