mitty is supposedly a lawyer--isn't the first rule of law "read before you sign"?? his arrogance and pandering is to the point of adnauseum! apparanlty mitty feels he can retroactively change anything in his past he wants--wouldn't it be nice if all of us could go back and correct things in our past but that doesn't happen except in mitt the twit's world.
And you think President Obama does? Do you think he read the Affordable Healthcare Act? Really? Leaders and Business "guys" hire and surround themselves with competent people they can trust. There's no way they could read all documents requiring their signature. Heck, most checks now are not even hand signed.
Sorry RobDon,
You excuse is extremely lame! I work with a lot of businesses. Before any CEO or President, or for that matter ANY principal signs anything, they READ it - they need to know exactly what they are obligating themselves and their company to!!
Exactly what do you think a CEO does all day??? Mostly, he/she READS!!!
As for income taxes, would you REALLY take someone else's word that they are correct, especially if you planned to run for president, knowing that one small mistake could get you in trouble with the IRS????
As for reading the ACA, yea, I'm betting Obama DID read the whole thing!!!
I would like to point out that the last Harry Potter book "The Deathly Hallows" was 759 pages long (Hard-cover - I just double-checked). I know 12 year old kids who read that book in a weekend. I bet you do too.
In a 2000 page bill, how much is just boiler plate that - especially if you are a lawyer - you just skim.
So - don't give me that nonsense that bills are not read before they are signed.
Sorry Maphi, but Pelosi's now famous exhortation to pass a bill to find out what's in it is typical. Perhaps you recall the Chicago councilman's youtube rant about being given no time to read bills handed down by the PTB.
I'll challenge you to find out how many Congress people actually read the ACA bill before passage. I'm betting less than ten.
Once, I agree that CEOs spends lots of time reading and going over numbers and documents but it has been my experience that they often put their faith in other team members when it comes to lots of documents. I've personally have taken documents to my CEO (at the time) with a contract where I pointed out only the highlights and not the fine print for their signature.
I believe members of Congress on both sides admitted to not reading bills they have signed and although neither of us have proof (as far as I know) I do not believe President Obama read the healthcare act...but I could be wrong.
I have a great time watching all of my MNBC family. Those questions that you"d like for mitt to answer, well so would over 4 million other people. I hope the President"s party don"t let him slip out of this one
ok, so...if George Romey's Dad moved to Mexico to avoid polygamy prosecution because he had five wives doesn't that mean Willard has 4 sister-grandmothers and a ton of sister-cousins? Um...where are they? Utah? Compound?
and, if you are a multi-millionaire and you make proud mention that you give 10% to your church which happens to be a mormon church just how many days a week do you wear your magic underwear? just sayin' the American people have a right to know.
Given the GOP's obsession with voter fraud, I can't understand why Mitt has been able to escape scrutiny for using his son's unfinished basement as a residence address when he voted in Massachusetts in 2010. The hypocrisy alone should be enough reason to shine a big spotlight on this.
Democrats in PA, FL, WI, OH, and other swing states where voter suppression laws have been enacted should be making this a major issue.
From start to finish, one of the best ever broadcasts of TRMS. So good, we watched it twice.
Rachel, please interview Missa Eaton. She the Democrat running against Mike Kelly in Pennsylvania. If you're going to show his BS, at least give Missa a chance to rebut what he's saying.
Poor old Mitt, his lies haunt him. Trouble is his fan base would vote for him even if he had horns and a tail.In fact his wealthy sponsors would triple their efforts on his behalf if they knew he was the devil himself!
AS the Culture War moves forward, Ms Maddow is seen on her program once again cowering behind the "shield" of hypocracy that dominates her point of view. One where you mock, even villify those who stand in opposition of her views which are predicated on her undying support for President Obama. Not so bravely she squats behind a defenseless unseen images (the unborn) protecting her interests and allowing for the unborn to "take whatever arsenal is aimed her way". How courageous Ms Maddow. She gleefully gives homage to some silly contrived "Planned Parenthood ad" where a pill pack is seen dancing in the woods. Yup, that is weird. Beforehand mocking in studio the outlandish conservative voices that speak of an opposing viewpoint. Loud cracks of thunder are heard as she timidly searches the ceiling of her studio for studio in mocking fashion.
All this to avoid the real story behind her cover, .......... religious freedm and Catholic organizations being forced or coerced into insuring their employees with controceptive means that include abortion and sterilzation. Come out from behind your cowardly mask Ms Maddow. Take up the challenge, have someone on your program who will defend the opposing side of the issue and who may reveal the "truth" you are hidiing.
Invite Fr Frank Pavone onto your program to discuss the issue of the HHS mandate and it's affect on Catholic Institutions. His Priest for Life organization is suing the HHS secretary. Find out why. What are you afraid of? The truth.
Stop cowering behind false pretenses. You look like a coward.
Do you ever say anything that makes sense?
No, IP7 doesn't make sense. Uses every topic as an excuse to rant about the nonexistent War Against Catholics.
