The Obama administration will consider gay couples' marriages in deportation decisions.
"Fast and Furious" claims one ATF scalp.
The fight over sending Ron Paul delegates to Tampa widens.
Protesters (including an elderly nun) breach security at Oak Ridge uranium plant.
1,000 Syrians, including a defecting General, flee to Turkey.
I never wanted to think about this. Then I saw this headline. Now you have to think about it, too.

So why does Issa continue to have carte blanche to define the ATF operation in Phoenix any way he wants? Issa has a personal grudge against the ATF, and should recuse himself from any investigation of them. Also, why does John Dodson, who is still the agent most likely to have gone rogue and THEN fingered his boss in a deft little bit of in-house backstabbing, continue to slip by coverage EXCEPT in the Fortune article? And why do all these simpletons in Network News follow the CBS story as if it were accurate and adequately researched, which it was not? And a final question: Robert Mueller was in the first meeting that designated gun walking as a potential strategy for linking straw purchases to the drug war, but he doesn't get blamed for the failures of the program. Why?
Can we all take a beat, READ the Fortune article, and then restart the story from there, without getting Darryl Issa's permission? No, I didin't think so.
My recollection of the FORTUNE article was that ATF couldn't get cooperation from, local state and federal prosecutors, even in cases where marginally employed or homeless men purchased six figures worth of military weapons. The weapons weren't even seized, and these obviously straw purchasors were allowed to keep (and dispose of) things like sniper rifles!
My guess is that Dodson is being protected by Issa and his ilk. Why you would expect Issa to act with integrity is beyond me.
Dan Carlin says that network news departments don't make money, so they don't get funds, so they re-report what someone else reorted, because it's cheaper than doing an independent and professional investigtion. There may be Woodwards & Bernstiens out there who are being reigned in by their deparment heads to save money.
Huffington Post, it has been reported simply purloined and rewrote articles from major sources and took credit for the articles. In the old days folks called that sort of behavior plagiarism. Nowadays and apparently with the advent of HP, it's sop. Pundits also just swipe blog comments and claim them as their own creative effort with no reference to the original source. It's sop for modern pundits and HP and it is completely slimy, imo. Yet, they continue to purloin and take credit for other folks' creative and journalistic efforts as if it were ethical behavior. It isn't and this new brand of journalism and this new hatch of thieving pundits and their staffs are simply bottom of the barrel excrement masquerading as cream. The truth is they think unethical behavior is ethical behavior. The truth is that unethical behavior permeates cable pundit world. Even pundits who hold themselves up as cutting edge and ethical may be, and in fact are likely to be completely compromised by their clear lack of journalistic virtue. . and they don't really care ...because they lack professional ethics. We know the difference even though they seem to have no shame. They can pretend to be above board but it is clear and precise and concise to state they are simply compromised by their lack of ethical regard. They follow the corporate model of exploitationalism while masquerading as upstanding. Honest folks know the difference. Most pundits don't know the difference and/or don't care to know the difference. They just ride the gravy train for corporate America, and pretend to be honorable....
IMO.
The Olympic swimmers story would be shocking, except I never swim in pools that have Olympic swimmers in them.

I try to avoid public pools as I've had patients come in with rashes that were from public pools.
The Republican party continues to highlight their hypocrisy by not following their own rules. Maine has had attempts to not count ballots that would have favored Ron Paul. Publicity stopped that effort. Perhaps voter integrity measures should be passed to insure the honesty of GOTP voters and election officials, especially in primary campaigns.
Last night Rachel did a segment on election results and voting in Ohio. She should have former Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner on. Have suggested her before as a guest for your program. Brunner straightened out Ohio's voting system after the 2004 (voters waiting in lines for hours) debacle. She was with Governor Strickland. She ran for the Dem candidacy for Senate against Lee Fisher but Strickland and Senator Sherrod Brown (white boys club) got behind Fisher. National polls found that then Secretary of State Brunner stood a much better chance at beating the Republican candidate now Senator Portman. Lee Fisher lost to Portman by double digits. So much for the Strickland , Sherrod Brown big Dem machine's ability to read the temperature in that election. Brunner was a most amazing candidate, brilliant...and it was time for a woman Senator from Ohio. She was the perfect candidate. Oh well have her on to talk about Ohio's election process. She had really cleaned it up. Rachel you would really like Jennifer Brunner...she is so smart. Have her on
Best information about Syria is over at former head of the CIA's Bin Laden unit Micheal Scheuer's website NON INTERVENTION. Scheuer has stated that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and her team are in a big way responsible for the the continued killing. That they are the ones unwilling to negotiate with Assad. He stated Clinton and team pushing Israel's agenda in Syria. Go check out NON INTERVENTION
Have you seen this yet? A lumber store owner put up a sign in response to Obama's
"You didn't build that" comment. Here it is. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/business-owners-response-to-you-didnt-build-that-kiss-my-a/
Well, Being Liberal on facebook created a response that is brilliant. It takes the photo and points out everything that the government does to make buisness possible. It is fantastic.
PLEASE get the video of Romney's speech this morning in Las Vegas. Unless I misheard, he told a story of a leader who was telling his people all the good things he had done for them when he was interrupted by someone calling him a liar. The crowd joined in, and eventually the leader was executed. He seemed to be presenting this as a metaphor for today. Please review the tape - it was pretty disturbing.
Relieving one's self in a public pool is bad manners. Relieving one's self into a public pool is just plain rude.
