I agree that slut is an inappropriate word here. The correct word for a person who is paid for the express purpose of having sex with one or more or persons is "prostitute."
Of course, that's a distinction with money being the only difference.

The irony of this porn actress story is that Utah consumes the most porn. However, blue states consumed more pornography after President Obama was elected because “when you win, your testosterone goes up." There are biological reasons for this hormonal pattern.
The question for us as a society is how to keep our hormonal instincts from interfering in relationships that are substantially degraded when they are sexualized.
Porn is a business, no more and no less than any other business. The fact that it involves sex does not make it less honorable unless you accept the Judeo Christian notions about sex as inherently shameful. I don't.
Actually I was using the word slut in the same context that Rush did (inasmuch as an inappropriate word to call any woman) only in the case of Jameson it apparently hit a little too close to home for some posters. Oh the irony.

Are you saying you feel it was wrong to cast the slur, or that you meant it playfully or are you unapologetic, and you don't think there is anything wrong about making the association?
As for hitting close to home, I suppose this requires a personal note about motivations. To be honest I find it baffling why anyone would be sexually attracted to someone like Jameson or Palin. So if you are insinuating that this poster somehow felt protective of her or her morally bankrupt rationale for voting GOP, then you are mistaken. The lack of response has nothing to do with their body types or physical attributes. As for my interest in sexual imagery, clothed women are just fine, and straight women with brains and character are the ones that quickly produce physical responses in me- folks like Brooksley Born, Elizabeth Warren or Pelosi.
You know? Like Heroes. I don't know what it is like for women, but I imagine maybe it is like watching Clark Gable- clothes on, but still highly sexual. There is something deep that goes like- "yee gawd what a woman please pick me and let me be the father of your children, live happily ever after an all that nonsense."
