Mitt Romney declared for the office of the Presidency on June 2, 2011. If he wins, when he gets sworn in it will be 599 days since that announcement and 599 days of campaigning. I just want this to end. Our elections are so messed up in this country, most other countries take care of this in under 200 days, quick and easy. Even Egypt did it faster than we do and they have a military coup!

Can we end the Paul Ryan myth that he is a fiscal responsible all-star? He has been in Congress since the 1998 mid-terms. He voted for TARP, the Bush Tax Cuts, the Iraq War, Medicare Part D, the Farm Bill, among many other things. That doesn't add up to fiscally responsible when the GOP did nothing but put it all on the credit card. He also voted for Patriot Act (3 times) and I'm sure most of the GOP agenda during the past decade. He needs to be illustrated as the figure head of the broken Congress.

This Paul Ryan myth just isn't based in reality, the facts do not add up. The only thing they add up to is about $7 trillion added to debt.

Now his budget plan wants to give the top 2% more tax cuts while making the Middle Class pay for the debt accumulated over the past decade and pay for new tax cuts for billionaires and millionaires, all while having to say goodbye to Social Security?

Romney taking the Barry Goldwater route should lead to a landslide Obama victory. It is now clear to a decisive majority that you can't be sane or bright and stand with today's Republican Party or today's conservative movement. It has devolved to little more than a fearful billionaire marionette show acting only and forever to impede the progress of social justice and environmental purification for the sake of greater profits.

By picking Paul Ryan as VP we now can concentrate on the Paul Ryan Budget to see "what kind of country" Romney / Ryan think we should live in.

Remember: The Paul Ryan Budget 2011 version was the deciding issue in the NYS 26th election. Kathy Hochul (D) won in a solid Republican district when she should not have had a glimmer of a chance.

The CBO has two scenarios that are used when they do analyses: Extended Baseline Scenario and Extended Alternative Baseline Scenario

which reflects the assumption that current laws generally remain unchanged; that assumption implies that lawmakers will allow changes that are scheduled under current law to occur, forgoing adjustments routinely made in the past that have boosted deficits.

Extended Alternative Baseline Scenario:

which incorporates the assumptions that certain policies that have been in place for a number of years will be continued and that some provisions of law that might be difficult to sustain for a long period will be modified, thus maintaining what some analysts might consider “current policies,” as opposed to current laws.

One big difference in the two is that the Extended Alternative Baseline Scenario continues the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts.

Everyone knows that the "Extended Alternative Baseline Scenario" is nothing short of fiscal INSANITY!!

As a Marine and Viet Nam Vet, I find it appalling that this announcement is set in front of a Navy War Ship. This is a man (well that is still up for debate) who did everything he could to dodge the draft. I am hoping that all other Vets feel the same way and do not vote this coward into office, especially knowing that he would then have the power to send our brave men and women into any war that the right wants to start in the same manor that Bush and Chaney did!!!!!!!!

Did anyone else hear the comment this morning on FOX and Friends regarding Paul Ryan's intellectual quickness? Dick Morris says that after meeting with Paul Ryan, it's like you just did aerobics, trying to keep up with his intelligence and mental agility. Dick Morris was then asked by the FOX people, ..."Well, if you have trouble keeping up with him, "How are you going to "DUMB IT DOWN FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE?" They actually SAID that! That is what the Republicans think of the American people!!! Infuriating!!!

Listening to Romney brag about Ryan makes me want to PUKE!!!!

We need to be VERY careful how we use language to describe the positions candidates (or anyone else) take on women's issues. Romney and Ryan are no more pro-life than anyone else....they are in fact "ANTI CHOICE." Calling one group Pro-Life implies that anyone not in agreement with them are Anti-Life. Let's call it what it is, we're not pro-life or anti-life...we are either Pro-Choice or Anti-Choice.

Somehow, not surprised Romney picked an early weekend day to announce this. I guess he is hoping American's are stupid AND sleep late.

Rachel please follow the money. Wisconsin which has one of the smallest populations,, receives some of the largest amounts of money from the military. Is there any wonder why Paul Ryan does not want to cut the military budget to save the nation from dept.
