The Sloan Digital Sky Survey III (SDSS-III) created the largest 3D map of galaxies and black holes in the universe. And now we can fly through it.
It's eerily reminiscent of the Flying Windows screensaver, only way better.
Tip: Watch in full screen.

As numerous as the stars in the skies, is the growing list of Romney lies.
Space the final frontier....Sorry, I had to say it...Really cool, thank you....
Snaps for posting this, really impressive!
Wow, the lights. Almost better than my trip to Venus.
Of course WE are the only life in the universe. Wait! Twenty seconds into the video...there..Uncle Martin!
My mistake. It was just those vagabonds from lost in space.
WAAAAAYYYY better than flying windows.
This is it. This is where we started. All of those galaxies, all of those stars, by the trillions, are where we began. We have star stuff in us that came from supernovae billions of years ago. We stepped out of a star. How wondrous is that, that from the furnaces of the deepest most destructive events in the universe, we were born. We were launched on an interstellar journey to find a home in a small backwater in an unremarkable system in an out of the way galaxy in a vast and seemingly unknowable universe. But... we know the universe. We are the universe becoming aware of itself. We know...
If we are to fulfill the tiniest amount of our potential, we must return... someday.
It would be nice to be alive after the warp drive has been invented.
